One of the most dreaded aspects of owning a home is having to repair/replace or upgrade something major. We decided to replace our air conditioning system for the reasons that follow. I own a five-bedroom home in Diamond Bar and for the last forty years assumed the original AC system designed for our two-story house should be appropriate. Well in 1976, it was state of the art equipment, design and technology “modern”. Well, it is now 2022 and it is was my opinion the system had become obsolete by improvements in technology and capability. The forced air unit was located in the three-car garage and serviced the downstairs living area, the upstairs bedrooms and a large bonus room over our three-car garage governed by a single thermostat located on the entry hall wall near the main AC register that is located under the staircase to the upstairs living area. The five-ton AC unit at the back of the house and forced air unit in the garage had to work together to push air throughout the entire 2500 square foot two-story structure. For forty-years I experienced the following frustration with the original system. (1) With the thermostat downstairs during the summer the bedroom areas upstairs varied from 3 to 5 degrees hotter than the downstairs living area. The bonus room would be 8 to 10 degrees hotter than downstairs. To get rooms cooler upstairs would require the downstairs thermostat to be set at 68 to 70 degrees (very cold downstairs) just have the bedrooms be 73 to 74 degrees and the bonus room (400 square feet). I installed a window air condition in the bonus room and had a floor AC system by the sliding patio door to the balcony area because the room would be 78 to 80 degrees. In winter, the same effect occurred with the heat. It would be hot downstairs just to make the upstairs comfortable. In August 2022, one of my neighbors said he replaced his entire system and it solved the same issues I was having. It was HOT, and our house upstairs was sweltering. I did my
I want to recommend Budget Air Conditioning and Heating to anyone needing AC repairs or a new unit. Since the first point of contact. It was an enjoyable experience; they sent a technician the same day within the hour. Once Cory Arrived, he was very friendly and professional. He took his time explaining his findings and possible solutions and was able to get our unit up and running at a very affordable cost.
I’m a licensed heating and air conditioning company with my EPA I asked them to come over to put refrigorent in a brand new system I installed for my cousin I’m from Santa Maria and I didn’t have enough of 410 A refrigorent thay said thay couldn’t do a service because thay want to come find more problems so thay can charge me a lot of money because it was a charge system only thay refused be aware of them I think thay will tell you your system is unreparible. I charge $45 dollars for a pound of 410A and $65 dollars for R22 thay will probably charge you over $200 a pound for there’s be careful using this company
I put ad on Yelp, they (Karen) calls and send someone on Monday. Communication is great and i willing to pay the come out fee i just want to know why they can't change or replace the bell for me. I ask to talk to karen to ask why and she start to speak loud in reply and doesn't want to do business with us and hang up. If u cant straight forward with customer and with this kind of service dont ever shop up at our shop.
Called at 9 AM that the AC was blowing warm air. It is now 11:30 and there is cool air blowing. Excellent service and affordable. Honest too. I do wish they had a refrigerator magnet.
Steve at Budget AC & Heating has been doing work for me for well over twenty years. In homes, industrial buildings even in a few jobsite office trailers. Once I started calling Budget I have never used anyone else. They are the one I recommend to everyone who is in need of his services. Recently his brother Roger installed and overhead warehouse heater in a 2700sf industrial unit and a few weeks later they replaced a 1930's era wall heater with a 50,000btu double side wall heater in my brother's house. Both were one day jobs leaving everything spotless and taking all debris with them. Working at a family owned company myself is important to me. Having family you can depend on to get the job done right matters. The pride and craftmanship that comes working with a family business is not always there with larger companies. My highest recommendation to Budget. D.L.Henson
You can’t go wrong with Budget Air Conditioning and Heating! Professional, clean, honest service. Price was beyond fair! They definitely earned my future business!. Thanks to Nick, technician extraordinaire!
Nick was our technician, he showed up right on time and even called ahead to give a heads up, which I really appreciated. He was SHARP, CLEAN and EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL but more importantly HONEST. He diagnosed the problem, WITHOUT pushing other things I didn't need and explained everything to me in a manner that made it incredibly easy to understand. And then when all was said and done he had fixed everything in a TIMELY manner and had our AC up and running in no time! It was such great service and all very well priced! I will definitely be calling Budget Air Conditioning & Heating again and I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone in need of service w/ HVAC!
What a great company! I had Nick and Andrew out and installed a new a/c & heating system for my home. They both are so polite, neat, and clean. My new system is working wonderfully and it's very quiet. Budget has been doing work for me for many years. It's a family business and I could remember when Steve would bring Nick on calls with him when Nick was a little boy. Steve the owner, has always done a great job for us over the years. Thanks Budget!!!
Budget replaced ground floor forced air system in 2009, and moved new system to attic. Last week brought Budget back to do a wall unit install. With Budget yearly maintanence the forced air is still operating like new. The wall unit install looks and operates great.
