I like that this company doesn't pressure you into buying an expensive HVAC system like the bigger companies out there when they come out to your home. I felt that I was treated honestly when it came to assessing my heating/cooloing system. Billy came up with a solution that was within my budget and I really appreciate that.
Buckhannon's did an excellent job in servicing our air conditioning and heating system, we will call on them again for regular servuce and maintenance work.
Billy went above and beyond when he came out to our place to assess what was going on with our heating system. He wasn't pushy about doing an entire system replacement and found a solution give our system a few more years of life. Will definitely call on them when we do need to replace our heating and cooling system.
I can't say enough good things about Buckhannons HVAC - they really care about their customers and Billy (co-owner) exemplifies this when he came out to service our central heat and air system. He found a cost effective solution for replacing our system with a split system, savings us a couple of thousand dollars in the process. I highly recommend calling them if you want honest service.
Great repair service from this local HVAC company. Jennifer was awesome in getting us on their calendar when it was convenient for us. We appreciate their professionalism and customer care.
No showed for two appointments two days in a row in 90 degree weather after we waited a week for the appointment. They never called and they lied to me when I called them. Do not recommend!!

We were referred to Billy Buchanan by another hvac company who had serviced our heat pump in the past. I would have to say, Billy has a way with words and sounds very technical. He charged me around $2000 to diagnose and fix an issue he found with the heat pump. The heat worked for about a week and then stopped. When Billy came back, he reported that the basic problem was the system was undersized. I have to wonder, why this information only came to mind after I had paid him to fix something that he felt would never work.
Billy Buckhannon came out 3 times last Winter to work on my furnace - the last time in March 2022. I only use my furnace when it's very cold as I have a gas fireplace. I turned on my furnace this year and it didn't work - again. So I called another company to look at my furnace this time. I was told that the ignitor put in last March was the wrong voltage - that it was an 80V instead of 120V. After doing some research I discovered that the 120V was the correct voltage because the furnace's board was replaced (by Billy) in December; otherwise the 80V would have been correct. Seemed like an honest mistake, so I called Billy to ask him to install the correct part. Instead of apologizing for installing the wrong part, he took no responsibility for the error. He said it was an honest mistake that he was given the wrong part. I agreed, but explained that I shouldn't have to pay for the same service again because he installed the wrong part and that he should make it right. By this time, he was SHOUTING at me over the phone that it wasn't his fault and that it was over the 30 day labor warranty. He was yelling at me and acting as though I was being unreasonable by asking him to install the correct part. He finally yelled that if it would "appease" me, I could send him the bill for the labor for the repairs and he would reimburse me for the labor. That I could send the wrong part that he installed back to the parts company as it was under warranty. By this time I told him I didn't like how he was speaking to me and hung up. It is inconceivable to me that an HVAC professional would install the wrong part and then become angry when asked to correct his mistake. I would recommend that you use another company if you need HVAC work and ensure that they stand by their work. People make mistakes, we all do, but how you react in those instances is a matter of character. Billy reacted poorly.
Buckhannons has always been responsive and fair with their service pricing. They installed our Mitsubishi unit a couple of yrs ago and anytime we have a question about this hvac unit, they are there to help us out. I would highly recommend!
We called Buckhannon's because we wanted to work with a local family run business and couldnt be happier with our choice! Luckily no emergency on our part because we were just upgrading our home HVAC system. When Billy came out, he was very professional and walked us through a couple of options that made sense for our budget. The installation process went smoothly and our new split system works perfectly.
I couldn't be happier with this local business. We received 3 quotes to replace our central heat/ac system and Buckhannons came in as the most competitive. They were also thorough and a pleasure to have in our home because they left everything clean after the installation was done.
This review was overdue, but wanted to acknowledge the fantastic service we received from Buckhannons HVAC. They came out in mid June to service our AC unit and were very thorough and showed us how to extend the life of the whole system by just doing routine stuff like keepig debris away from our outdoor unit and changing the air filters every other month.

Buckhannon's installed a new heating/air conditioning unit and the whole process from delivering their quote (saved us a ton!) to getting the installation completed, was very smooth.

With the cooler weather, making sure our old heat pump working properly was critical. We had Buckhannon's out to take inspect and service our unit. Luckily Billy was able to diagnose and fix an issue that could have caused our whole unit to fail. He was a life saver!
From the start, working with Billy (owner) was a pleasure. He is incredibly knowledgeable and honest, helping us figure out exactly what we needed which included the right size heating and A/C unit, attic insulation and duct work. If I had a question, Billy had no problem hopping on the phone to answer it
