In February 2021 due to fire this company was contracted through Whisonant Roofing LLC to install a Goodman 96% gas furnace , a/c., siding and assess any other problems. Around October 2021 I had problems with Unit was not heating and problem with water condensation tube. My unit in the attic. I was not informed that maybe 80% gas furnace would not have this problem. I called Ben Hvac and original contractor Mr. Whisonant. They really gave me the run around. First I was told problems with gas and had Washington gas come out they informed me no problem with gas. Later I found out all of them were negligent and just ignorant. The furnace especially gave problem when temp went below 30 degrees . The outside pipe freeze with water and unit made noises. Oh then found hole in my duct they claimed they did not. Then I was told I need another intake vent. It was nightmare. Between Oct and February I really suffered and went through mental stress. The whole time they did nothing place thin piece insulation on outside pipe did nothing. Finally I used my Home Warranty which help. Found out the unit was improperly installed with pipe that did allow water to flow out from gas exchange. Thank God for my Home Warrant AHS. I would encourage no one use this service if so beware.
T.Just a very bad run establishment they put in a brand new boiler and it broke in a week and they haven't been back to fix it yet this happen in 2020 it's now 2021.. Trust me this business want be around that much longer .
My water heater broke, I was referred to Ben' s Air Conditioning. Ben was very responsive and staff was exceptional. I ended up needing new water heater, and Ben gave me a wonderful price. Carlton was very professional and did a wonderful job. I am recommending Ben's Air Conditioning all.
I am a retired engineer from GE and know enough to know when a job is well done. Mr Ben very much the professional and most of all, Carlton Franklin was outstanding in every way. I would highly recommend there services.
The repairman, Mr. Shawn was professional, honest, and very good at his job. He got our AC working quickly and was thorough. He waited to ensure that the air was cooling properly.
Hooked up with Ben's Air Conditioning Service about four years ago. And I can tell you HANDS DOWN they are the best A/C and Heating service I have EVER had service my system. They are very prompt about getting to you when you have a problem. Carlton who has done my service is very polite and personable. And really knows his stuff. Finds the problem and fixes it right the first time. I would recommend to ANYBODY that is looking for a great reliable A/C Heating service PLEASE call Ben's and give them a try. I myself have been VERY satisfied so far. Just had Carlton from Ben' Air Conditioning install a new Heat Pump at my residence. EXCELLENT job!! And he was very helpful in helping me make the right choices to upgrade my heating and cooling system. I have been using Ben's for all my AC and heating needs for six years. And they have ALWAYS been the best most honest HVAC Co. I have ever dealt with. I personally would not let anyone else touch my system. And I would recommend them and Carlton to anyone needing service or new AC, heating equipment.
Was happy with the service I received when I first used this company 3 years ago for freon. Going forward, not so much. Last year I experienced flooding due to a clogged condensation drain line; the tech told me to flush the line with hot water and bleach. That did not work. The line continued to clog, and thus, I continued to have flooding. It wasn't until I reached out to another company who told me the hot water/bleach does absolutely nothing, and they removed the drain line to get rid of the internal buildup. No issues since. This year I asked for a quote for a new HVAC system, and was given an estimate for an AC unit that is 2-tons larger than what I currently have. Any legitimate HVAC contractor would never recommend installing a larger unit, as it will most likely create new problems (like condensation, for example). Luckily i'd already done my research, and received quotes from other contractors who all recommend replacing the unit with equipment of the same size. Unfortunately I have no desire to further patronize Ben's.
Ben service is excellent. Does what he says he going to do. I would highly recommend him over other services. Ben has my business !
I had a heat pump issue that was not turning on. I called Ben's at 10:00 p.m. and had Carlton show up at 9:30 a.m. He QUICKLY diagnosed the issue, explained everything he was doing and WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE for my new unit that was installed 6 months ago, and issues that I am likely to have when I switch to the A/C. Thanks Carlton for providing piece of mind!!!
Two words...THE BEST! I needed same day service to my A/C unit as the contractor that was hired by my warranty company was a no-show. I called Ben's at 11:15 Friday morning and he scheduled Carl to be here by 12:30. When Carl showed up at 12:01 pm I was so happy I told him to give me a high five. Not only was he prompt and professional, but he was courteous. Carl quickly diagnosed my issue and had my a/c working within 30 minutes. He explained everything he did, made some recommendations and gave me a VERY reasonable rate. My husband and I have decided that once our Home Warranty expires this year we are switching to maintenance agreements with companies who specialize in individual appliance services. Ben's...YOU'RE AWESOME! Thank you!

I needed my heat pump repaired. I contacted Ben's on a Friday and was given an appointment for the next day. They gave me a two hour window. The repairman contacted me to inform me that he was on the way. The repairman was very punctual and was able to identify the problem and fix it quickly. The prices were very reasonable. He was very straight forward about the problem and the possible solutions - I didn't feel like he tried to upsell me.
Horrible customer service. Had an appt Friday, said they couldn't make it and we would be the first appointment on Saturday. On Saturday they Never showed up, I called several times and was told several times they would be there and still no one showed up.
Can't really give them an Excellent yet but they are going to easily get there soon. I've recommended Bens to many of my friends and they have come through each time.
