I originally contracted with another heating contractor through Old Republic home warranty. The other contractor came out on 12/2/22 and could not fix the furnace. After going through 2 months of not responding and broken promises, I got in touch with Old Republic who sent out Baker Mechanical. Mark Baker showed up at 4:00. By 5:00 the furnace was working. If I have any other issues with my HVAC system, I will make certain that Baker Mechanical is the first place I call.

Knowledgeable and finally fixed a problem quickly with my A/C and thermostat that at least 8 Sears Technicians serviced and failed to fix.

Baker Mechanical was sent to my home for repairs to my furnace by Sears Home Warranty on 3/14/2022 in which I had to pay $100 deductible which should've covered the repair and labor. Around 11:30 am, Mark showed up to diagnose the furnace in my attic and gave me the prognosis around 12 noon which included replacing the cable to my furnace (due to birds pecking or squirrels chewing), replacing the regulator (gas leak) and the main control. Sears approved the replacement of the main control but denied the cable replacement (pest caused) or regulator (per contract). I was tasked with paying out of pocket, $25 (cable), $85 (regulator), $95 labor for 1 hour totaling $205. Around 4 pm, Mark called to advise that he was en route to Charlotte. At 5:11 pm, Mark called to advise that he was IN Charlotte and en route to my home. At 7:36 pm, I called Mark to find out where he was since it had been 2.5 hours. He responded that he got "caught up" BUT could come now if it's not too late!!! I responded that I have NO HEAT so yes, he needs to come now! Mark showed up at 8:11 pm and was out of my attic by 8:36 pm (25 MINUTES) claiming all was repaired! I asked WHY I'm paying him for 1 hour of labor ($95) and Sears is paying him for labor when the repair of 3 DIFFERENT COMPONENTS only took 25 minutes. Mark responded that "Sears don't pay us NO MONEY SO WE HAVE TO FIND WAYS TO GET IT FROM THE CONSUMER!" WOWWWWW!!!! This tells you everything that you need to know about this company! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIM / HIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!!! **RESPONSE TO OWNER** I never have a problem paying for services rendered, the issue with THIS COMPANY & OWNER is he "double dipped." He charged me for 1 hour of labor while charging my former warranty company for 1 hour of labor - even though he spent LESS than 1 hour on the repairs!!! And let's not forget, the blatant disrespect & unprofessionalism in follow through (returning for the repairs timely) and telling me IN MY HOME that "Sear
