Excellent service - honest, efficient, and they fit me into the schedule quickly. As a new(ish) homeowner and someone who knows NOTHING about HVAC systems, Randy was so helpful answering all of my questions and recommending preventive maintenance to prevent bigger, more costly issues down the road. I so appreciate the guidance and honest recommendations - not something you can find just anywhere! I will definitely be using Ausco Air in the future. Thank you guys so much.
It’s 104 degrees in the Austin, TX area and of course my air conditioner capacitor died at 10 pm. I filled out Ausco Air’s online form and received a call back right after they opened the next morning. A friendly and knowledgeable technician was at my home by 10:30 am and the AC was up and running again in less than 45 min. Quick and easy, and I didn’t experience any up-selling or price gouging. A pleasure to do business with this company.
I don’t usually write reviews, but Randy from Ausco Air deserves five stars! Randy came to our house the day we called. He accurately diagnosed the problem, and had our AC back up and running within hours. Ausco’s cost was a fraction of what other companies had estimated. We are so appreciative of Ausco’s quick, honest service!
Requested a "Heater Tune Up" using the special from their web page via e-mail. From the very start, John Cahill, appeared disinterested in being here. I re-gave the information that had been provided in the e-mail regarding the unit age, type, and issues observed. The quick response was that it was undersized. Something that could have been done via e-mail. I was also expecting a quick review of the property for energy audit that was mentioned in the exchange. When asked if he would at least review the ducts or layout, he appeared offended as if I was questioning his analysis and expertise on the unit. To the contrary, I wanted his expertise to see what could be done to improve the current state. Whether that was updating insulation, ducts, or even the unit itself. Possibly providing a quote as well so that I could consider the improvements and hiring them for the work. None of that happened. This interaction was upsetting and I cannot tell, in my opinion, if this was due to the "free" aspect of the service call. (To no record: This was 5 years ago, and didn't become a customer due to the experience)

I was having an issue with my HVAC system so I called Ausco Air and got an appointment set for the next day. They came through and helped out.

The technician, Randy, has been to my house several times now to fix my ac (which is under warranty). He blames my filter (I've replaced it three times since May), my plumbing (because the ac pipes keep getting clogged), and the weather (apparently ACs aren't able to cool any lower than 25 degrees less than the temp outside) on why it keeps failing. Now they are REFUSING to make a service call because preventative maintenance hasn't been done. Randy is so inept at his job (and rude at every visit) that he can't fix the AC after many visits. Do not call this company.
