So this company not only ended up installing my new AC unit incorrectly leaving us with issues for a while until a new company discovered a leak and faulty installation issues but they have the audacity to refusing to return to fix their mess. I will give zero starts if I could

Got the message saying they were on the way just after 10am. Appointment was between hours of 0800-1200. He didn’t show up until almost 1pm even though (according to the tracker) he was less than 30 minutes away. He was there less than 20 minutes. He left and I still have the very same issue. Very unprofessional. That’s usually the case when dealing with these companies that work with home warranty. They don’t care how they treat the customer because they have the contract with the home warranty. This company definitely does not care about the customer.

Horrible customer service and they will up-charge you to obtain more out of pocket cost your warranty won’t cover. They went from $350 to over $1000 to put in a new drain line. Nothing changed. Simple PVC pipe install. They just kept raising the price for the same job. Shady. I went with another company and they did the entire job for $150. Arctic Heatng is a scam.

Home warranty company gave us this one, like all others appear to have, to address an excessively loud heat pump that was disturbing the neighbors in addition to ourselves. It’s audible through the entire house like a speaker box and vibrates the walls. I comes down to get be warm or get sleep sometimes. 5 minutes and $85 dollars later, “that’s the compressor, it’s how it sounds.” Well I have operated a number of air compressors and not even a 60 gallon 220 volt hums this loud. No resolution, not even a “let me look inside and see” just a proverbial “”sucks to be you, not my problem”” kind of solution and gone. They were very engaged and interested in the payment though. Had a buddy from lodge listen to it and he said, that’s not normal, he’s a master plumber not even HVAC but has worked in many houses and knows that’s not natural. Going back through the warranty company to contract someone else to fix the problem so we can sleep and the neighbors are content or at the very least a reasonable resolution or earnest attempt to care. I don’t believe in one star unless the company was truly atrocious but this was close.

Despite the recent reviews, I had a great experience with Arctic. I went through my home warranty and got assigned Arctic. They promptly called me to set up a diagnosis appointment. It was only 2 days away. Mark showed up and diagnosed the issue within minutes. He put in the order for parts that day. Once my home warranty approved the order, Arctic called the very next day to set up an appointment for install. It was 2 weeks out, but I was told if anything earlier popped up, they would call. AND THEY DID. A cancellation happened and I got the call to get an earlier appointment. Mark showed up again, on time, and he had the new condenser installed in about 2 hours (includes driving back to the store for more refrigerant). Very professional, and he walked me through everything that he was going to do. He even gave me advice on how to clean and inspect my unit to prevent further issues. Thanks Arctic!!!

This company was sent to my address to provide service through my home warranty company. They came out 4X, told me that my system was frozen and that they needed to defrost it in order to add antifreeze. All 4 contractors told me this each time they came which was a week apart. They will come in my house for approximately three minutes, tell me the same thing and then leave. When I asked them when they were going to return to see if the system had truly defrosted so that they can add the anti-freeze they would say you need to call the office and schedule another appointment. Every time I will call the office I will leave 3 to 4 voicemails and would not receive a return call until at least four days later. When I would receive a returned call, I will be scheduled at least 6 to 7 days out. Finally they could not figure out what the issue was and they removed from my attic fan motor. I asked the contractor what he is going to do with the fan motor and when will he return it, he said to call the office to schedule for him to return. Era am burning up in 90° heat still waiting for my attic fan to return and I started service with them back in May. Can anybody recommend a credible heating and cooling company that can actually fix the air conditioning system. When I called my home warranty company to let them know that the system still has not been repaired and it is 90° in my house according to the thermostat, they said that they need to get my fan motor returned. When I called for my attic fan motor, The gentleman that on the company fussed me out when I told him that the contractor she sent to my house are not getting the job done and that I was seeking to hire someone else and then he hung up the phone on me. So I still have yet to receive the motor that they remove from my house and I am informing the police of this as well because they stole my property. Do not waste your time or your energy with this company they are not credible and they are troubleshooting they

Like others, home warranty company assigned me this contractor for HVAC repair. The initial diagnostic appointment was 2 weeks out, I get it, it was peak AC season and they are busy. The tech finally came out after 2 weeks and diagnose the problem. I asked him what are the ETA for the parts and the fix, he told me it's about a week out for that kind of repair and I'll be hearing back from their office. A week came and gone, zero contact from Arctic Heating & Cooling. I began calling their office regarding to the status of my repair. The line is always busy and sometimes goes straight to voicemail even within business hours. I left several voicemail messages and got zero response back. I got my home warranty company involved since they are unresponsive, even they aren't able to reach their office. Today is 7/11/22, 10 days after my initial diagnostic, no updates, no follow ups for timelines. I paid the technician a check for service fee during the diagnostic appointment, however I see the check was g cashed already and the home warranty company called me today that they still waiting to receive the diagnostic from them. There shouldn't be any reason that they have time to cash my check but not submit the diagnostic to the warranty company within a 10 day time frame. The lack of communication, responsiveness and promptness makes working with Arctic Heating & Cooling extremely frustrating.

They weren’t able to get to me as quickly as I would have liked, but I’m sure that had a lot to do with our recent heat wave and a lot people needing AC service. They answered the phone promptly when I called and were friendly. The technician, Mark, they sent out was friendly as well and able to fix my AC quickly.

I don't usually write negative reviews but after the company left my home with no explanation of the problem and refusing to call me back or answer my calls for over a week, I don't want other people to go through what I am going through. I am working with the home warranty company to get another company to help me. Now I fear that the technician may have affected another system in my home that doesn't work after his visit. Now I will be forced to put in a new work order for the other system. I would have loved to speak to the company and figure out what happened but they refuse to even return my calls. UPDATE: Placed the claim April 26th. As of June 02nd my unit has not been repaired. To this date this company has never called me. The only contact has been when I have called and been lucky enough to get someone. During my last conversation the person couldn't even tell me if they have ordered to part. Needless to say I was not satisfied, so I called the home warranty company and have been informed that they no longer work with this company. I don't know when I was going to find that out. I don't believe that they ever intended to come back after I posted online about the terrible experience that I have had. The person even referenced my post so she didn't know me or my issue but she knew all about my post. They knew at the time of the call they no longer worked with my home warranty company and neglected to tell me that they were never returning to my home. If you can't do a job just turn down the job, don't let someone sweat for over a month. She actually couldn't believe that I posted something negative. I wonder if she would wait for over a month with no action to have her A/C fixed before she said something.

Do not use this company. Our home warranty company scheduled Arctic. They could not see our house for over a week, which is understandable in the summer time. They also do not give you a window; they contact you when one of their workers is on the way. The day of our appointment, I waited for two hours in our living room. I checked the door and someone left a "no-show" invoice note in the screen door. My wife called them and they were very rude. When I called and asked if they were sending someone back, the person on the phone became immediately defensive and explained that it was a no show and we would have to reschedule. Apparently, whoever came rang our doorbell which is disconnected; considering one can hear the doorbell ring in small houses, which ours is, I asked if it's their policy to knock when there's no response. He explained to me that he is not a doorbell specialist. I asked why the service worker did not call me or my wife, but the gentleman on the phone was too busy trying to talk over me, explaining that it was my fault that I didn't answer the door when his worker did not knock. I'm more concerned with the fact that they don't provide their service workers with a phone number for a job; it seems a bad business model. A simple phone call from Arctic would have taken less than two minutes and saved all this hassle and a poor review. Furthermore, they only tell you what day they're coming. Therefore, working families like ours have to miss an entire day of work. Their customer service was some of the most abysmal I've encountered. There is a clear issue with communication, and I'm willing to accept that it's likely just one person. However, I highly recommend not using Arctic if their customer service is that poor and they make excuses when their service workers don't do their due diligence.

Atrocious customer service and complete a$$holes. It doesn't happen a lot, but every once in a while the customer is right and they immediately went in defensive mode. I'm 7 months pregnant without AC and they were not sympathetic to my situation whatsoever. Our doorbell is broken and did we did not hear the technician come. Did you try knocking on the door even once? It's a scam because they charge a fee for having to come out to your house again if you "miss" an appointment. Their policy: "Ring doorbell once, wait 5 seconds, and leave." Turns out we need a new AC unit... very satisfied that we won't be giving them that business.

"[Technician, Timeliness, Service] Fixed right the first time" (3 months ago) I have recently used Arctic again ( through my home warranty company) for my second A/C unit. Once again they contacted me the day I filed the claim and came out the next day. Charged the unit and explained clearly that there may be a leak but would not be able to check until we see if the charge lasts or not. (The home warranty rules). I have read several negative reviews and they all seem to revolve around home warranties, which can be difficult to deal with sometimes, but for me Arctic have gone above and beyond. Highly reccomend this company.

They came to look at our A/C as a contractor through our home warranty company claim. Those ccontractors usually does NOT want to do much job because of poor payment from warranty company. But they came right away/next day I submitted the claim(maybe days of 90+ degree situation helped too?), the technician actually looked deeper than any other contractor did in the past 3~4 times, he, especially, spent a lot of time in the attic which NO OTHER technician from any other company did that much. And found/let us know whole new problem that's causing for our system to stop working almost every season in the last 3 years. The repair he had to do was not covered under the warranty but he did not charge us an arm and a leg. This was the first time to took only 24hours to fix big problem through home warranty company claim. I believe this contractor deserves good review, not my warranty company.
