Randy installed a new AC compressor, coil. and gas furnace system. Excellent service, attention to detail, honest, quality or work, and costing. A++++
I had Randy and Mark come out to install a new AC unit and Furnace at my home. Their HVAC knowledge and quality of work was top notch. Besides their honesty, good communication, and quality install; their prices beat out other large HVAC companies in the valley. I will continue to call Applied Science Heating and Cooling and highly recommend them to my friends.
Randy does GREAT work. He has done work for me for at least 15 years. He has been more than fair with pricing and gives excellent service. I always recommend Randy to my neighbors.
I had a water heater that was really touchy. I had another heating and cooling company come out and say the sensors were dirty and cleaned my sensors. Six months later it stopped working again, another $180.00 later it stopped working again. RANDY came out once -cleaned it and it worked as intended. He is very thorough with what he does.
This company serviced the AC unit prior to purchasing our home. During the home inspection there was a 5-gallon bucket of water that was catching the overflow from the furnace while the AC was running. Applied Science was called out to service the AC and remedy the situation. The AC was serviced mid-April and immediately after moving in we noticed the same leakage from the overflow on the furnace. Shortly thereafter we found the plywood baseboards beneath the furnace entirely soaked. We called in our home warranty and they properly serviced the AC unit. They advised that the main drainage pipe was clogged with what seemed to be years of debris and that there was cracking along one section of the drainage pipe. They purged the main drain line and replaced the pipe, resolving the issue. When calling Applied Science to understand why this was not accomplished during the initial servicing, it was excuse after excuse. "It would have taken up to four hours for the condenser to gather any water." What about the bucket of water that was already there? "Well there's no real way to tell what the problem is without running it." So what did you actually do to 'service' the unit? "Well we took it through a standard check" Which did not included the obvious problem? "I don't know what to tell you." No offer to reconcile the situation, just a shrug. They charged the previous owners $150 (and for what, I don't know) and cost us $60 with our home warranty. I would not recommend them *at all*.
