I contacted American Way for heating repair and they were able to come out the same day. They were very professional and knew what they were doing. They fixed the problem quickly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of heating repair.
The Technician from AW did a great job finding the issue with my old furnace. He was quite professional, thorough and explained everything.
DO NOT USE. They came to my residence (within an hour which was the one positive thing) but did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I had a leaking hot water heater when they came and still had one when they left. They looked at it, acknowledged it was leaking, and said there was nothing they could do to fix it. Still charged me a service visit fee.
Quick to schedule and repair ac. They are expensive but timing is key and they have come when needed more than once.
I had an original AC and heating in my house, so I had NO experience in dealing with heating and air conditioning company. The technician came and clarified everything, and I chose to go with the American Way. Every time I had an inquiry (I had a couple), the technicians were so knowledgeable and pleasant. They explained how they were going to fix that problem step by step. They worked hard to accomplish the task. I would highly recommend their services. Example of true excellence. Additionally, played it safe - wore masks, remained 6 ft. away.
We needed a new HVAC system installed and talked to a couple of prominent local contractors. American Way was one of them. After carefully comparing the quotes and customer testimonials, we decided to go with this company. Our research was on point because these guys did a terrific job. We have a new, energy-efficient HVAC system installed with 12 years of warranty. They were patient and professional throughout. We are really happy with the service.
Didn't even try to work on scheduling a time. Just said too busy. I'd say you should not advertise yourself on the internet if you're fully booked to the point where you can't even have a conversation about about scheduling a time.
Called because pilot light wouldn't stay on. Technician arrived on-time. I said to be careful with a wire that I knew was loose and he immediately yanked on it and broke it. Then said 'he couldn't fix it'. He never even tried to light the pilot light. This was all in the span of about 30 seconds. I called the dispatcher and he agreed to waive the $75 service fee. And then the guy started to get a bit scary. He was leering at me, and pretended not to know which door was out. And then hung around for a few seconds more starting at me. Facing into the room, while I was pointing at the door behind him. I was about to call 911.
These guys are phenomenal. They are highly qualified. We had our central AC repaired from this company. Their professional attitude and work ethic impressed me a lot. I would love to work with them again.
Had a weird issue with the boiler that the staff couldn't get fixed so the owner showed up and took care of it. Totally happy with the service.
Very over price charged 100.00 for a 10.00 part and after that wasn't the problem..the guy wanted to charge me 500.00 for the part that was only 150.00. After I told him never mind he still took part off and took it to his truck..and I had to call police on this guy.or it was going to get real ugly..never call these guys they are crooks
Great service and honest work. They did a great job with our trench less plumbing when our sewer line needed to be fixed. We had another quote from a different company and it cost more than double and that was without the other company re-pouring the concrete. Highly recommend and the employees were very polite and hardworking as well. Thank you!
They came out same day to fix a leaky sink and blocked pipe. They were just amazing. They were happy, professional, informative, polite, respectful and efficient. They are now my go to plumbers. One decision I won't have to make in the future!!!
was happy that they fixed my issue in 45 minutes, was not happy that they charged me $267 to unclog my shower diverter body.
Pro's Quick to schedule visit Con's Extremely overpriced Last year I used this company, and the technician was extremely honest and ethical, charging me exactly what one would expect for the very small job performed. Decided to use them again in Jersey City, and this time I was completely ripped off with a $325 charge to change a fuse and reverse the connection of two wires (something another vendor apparently connected incorrectly). The tech was there for all of 28 minutes.
Great service. Worked around my schedule. Made a quick fix to my garbage disposal. They were very polite and courteous as well.
He solved two tricky problems. A slow draining bathtub that I was unable to snake myself, he determined that the snake was going the wrong direction, perhaps due to an incorrectly orientated fitting. And he was able to clear the blockage with some finesse. He also replaced a cartridge in the shower and fixed the unorthodox work from the contractor who remodeled the bathroom. The price was also great both relative to the time he spent and compared with the last plumber I used.
We had a pipe split in our basement. Found these guys on my google map and haven't looked back. He came relatively on time, fixed the pipe and gave us some tips on another issue we have. We would absolutely use again.
Sewage was coming into the garage after a rain, and this company sent their Servicemen out within a few hours to clear the main sewer line. They knew exactly what to do and cleared the line in about 30 minutes.
Our furnace would not light. First cold day. We went on the neighborhood chat group and were recommended to American Way. I phoned them at 7:45am and a real person picked up on the first ring. I was told the technician would come between 11-2. The two-man team phoned me at 9:30, arrived at 9:45, had the furnace lit in under 5 minutes. Adam had me crouched down in front of the ignition assembly as he explained the situation. He demonstrated how to deal with a reoccurrence and explained what parts should be replaced (the furnace is 25-30 yrs old). No nonsense, reasonable charges. Needless to say I asked them for a sticker to put on my unit.
