I had called one of the big companies out when my ac went out. They did a "fix" and left. Within hours my unit was over heating and stopping again. They told me that I need a new unit to the tune of $10,000 to $18,000. That same day my neighbor was having ac problems and Amen Air was there to fix it. I told him about my problem and he asked if I would like him to look at it. As soon as he saw it he knew what the problem was and actually fixed it. It's an old unit that may need to be replaced sooner rather than later, but the price he gave me was about $6,000, and he would take the money I had paid him off the top. Honest, helpful and fair.
They are professional s and get the job done no upsaling or nickel and diming and they work fast.

They had to always make 2 ,3 or even 4 service calls to solve the problem PLUS, their "customer rrlations" is very adversarial.

Terrible service. Was referred by American Home Shield. Appointment was set for Sept 14 in the morning. Live in LA so left at 5:30am to make appointment in Desert Hot Springs. Serviceman arrived. Spent about 30 minutes and said my central air was fix. I was surprised but it was blowing cold air(for about 15 minutes) just enough time for him to leave. I called back Amen Air and was first told some nonsense about it would take half a day for the old hot air to get out of the system and it would eventually cool down. I said that was ridiculous and asked for them to return since he just left.Amen said no. So I recalled American Home Shield and got another authorization instantly for Amen to come out. Called Amen Air back and was told they were too busy to come today(it was about noon Friday) so I asked it they could come tomorrow Saturday. Was told Amen Air doesn't work weekends! What, an AC company in the desert that doesn't work weekends! It was 110 degrees! Amen Air said they would call me next week and schedule a 2nd appointment. Well that never happened. Called Amen Air today(Oct) and the man said he has no record of any authorization from American Home Shield and that they rarely do any work for them! Good luck using Amen Air for your AC needs in the desert.
Amen A/C was recommended to me by my daughter. I manage 26 apartments. After giving Amen A/C the first job here, I knew I had a reliable company to turn to. This is especially important when you have 26 air conditioners to deal with. Amen A/C has serviced several of our units since that first call, and I am very satisfied with the service I received. Very happy with the house call I received from Amen Air. They came today as a result of an American Home Shield service request. Great job. Very pleasant and efficient work.
I was looking at buying a house that needed a new HVAC unit. Mike stopped by on short notice and gave me all the time I needed. I subsequently bought the house and had Mike install a new HVAC unit. I could not be happier with the service I was given.
AC went out during Labor Day weekend. Tony arrived on time and was very knowledgeable and helpful. He worked quickly to figure out the problem. Unfortunately our problem was a more complicated than we expected and we had to wait to get a part ordered because of the holiday. But that's life, sometimes timing just sucks. Anyway, he did what he could and was straight up about the circumstance, which I respect. AC companies are the unsung heroes of the desert.
Sloppy work. No pride in the work. Use them if you don't care about the way the job Will look or work. I wish I could add a photo of how bad there work is.
argumentative, shady, and could care less about the real problems with our system. Hired to come out for 1 reason and we are still in the dark and told literally not my problem.
Fair, honest, reliable, and responsive are typically not the first adjectives that come to mind when having to deal with a service company but they are the ones that best describe Amen Air. When the emergencies of life hit, it’s easy to stress about finding the right company to handle these problems, but Amen Air really is a choice you would never have to stress about. I’ve known Mike and Patti Storie for many years, and I can honestly say that honesty and integrity are paramount in their lives and in their business. Although I no longer live in the desert, every client both commercial and residential that I’ve ever referred, as been extremely happy they worked with Amen Air. You don’t have to worry about being overcharged, or having unnecessary work done, that’s why their customers don’t call anyone else! Definitely 5-Stars all the way around!
