Ray absolutely saved my family from a nightmare! Our heat wouldn't come on when switched on for winter. I made the mistake of calling a different company before contacting Ray, and thought I needed a whole new system Ray found, and fixed the problem really fast. I will use him for all my future heating & cooling needs. He is very professional, and thorough. He's also a good guy. I'm so glad I found someone with Ambient heatings skills that i can trust . Thanks again Ray! No more cold nights!
Our first encounter with Ray was extraordinary. Our air conditioner stopped working on a very hot day and we were desperate to get it repaired. I called around and was not able to get same day service until I called Ambient and spoke with Ray. He arrived the same day and expeditiously at that. When Ray arrived, he was dressed impressively and greeted us with great kindness and professionalism. He solved the issue in literally two minutes flat. We had cold air and it did not take all day. We asked if he thought we needed Freon and he checked reporting it was not necessary. I know that there are unscrupulous vendors out there that take advantage of people fleecing them and I am grateful that Ray demonstrates the character of a man of integrity. He could have falsely charged us for Freon, however he did not. A couple of weeks later the system was not pushing cold air I called Ambient and spoke with Ray again he let us know that he did not want us spending any unnecessary extra monies so he suggested we monitor it for the day and call him back if the problem persisted. It did. So I called him today and he came earlier than anticipated which was great! He cleaned our unit and educated us on what the additional issue was and fixed it. We are now happily enjoying a cool house and grateful to Ray. He is so professional, kind and knowledgeable. He shares his knowledge with great care and consideration. We are pleased to pay top dollar for top notch service. If you have HVAC needs call Ray 'cause he will save the day. To God be the glory!
So this company’s owner called me yesterday and because he called more than one time and I didn’t call back he was very rude and could careless when I tryed telling him how I’m a senior live alone scared the furnace will die he just kept saying are you home my guys on his way. So his guy, zac was very polite and took a look at my furnace amd came back with a long list of problems with it and that it’s deemed I fixable dangerous to have it on and turned it off. That worryed me greatly. But then he says it’s 3000.00 for a new one and 2000.00!for labor I said I’m on disability not greatcrediet don’t know what I’m gonna do. He leaves I’m in a panic now. My friend suggested spfld partners action commission I called them and because I’m approved for fuel assistance I’m eligible fir free repair or replacement. I called them they came out and fixed two minor things and told me I do not need a new furnace. So I also suffer from arthritis and have had surgery on my back and need total knee replacement. Those of you who have chronic pain know what the cold can do it makes the pain much worse even with a heater I got from the same friend who gave me the information. This company is not to be trusted. If you get fuel assistance you qualify for free help like me of the 5 stars above I gave one and that’s only because even though the repair guy was running me a line . He was told to do so. And was polite. You guys suck
Ray has been exceptional. He has given us excellent same-day service when needed urgently to repair AC or heating system. He is very responsive and reliable.
Ambient Heating & Air Conditioning repaired my AC. No fuss, no drama. Just good old fashioned service. Ray kept his word consistently throughout our dealings. He showed up on time, thoroughly inspected my AC system and laid out my options. On his recommendation I chose to have him repair my AC as it still appears to have many years left. Thanks for taking such good care of us. Our home is comfortable and we are happy with every aspect of the service we received. Highly recommended!
After this storm knocked out our power. We had a huge tree limb come down and take out the wires from my house, we had no power or water for 24hrs. Finally get it back and woke up to water in the basement coming from the pump for the furnance. We are relatively new to the area and googled an HVAC tech. Ray was here within 2 hrs of my call. What a super nice guy. Showed me everything that could be the problem and it turned out to be the pump. Replaced that and we were up and running in less that a half hour. After moving from Milford Ct where everything is double the price, I gladly paid the bill. If you’re in need of quick service, knowledgeable guy and very reasonably priced HVAC company, I HIGHLY recommend Ambient Heating and Cooling and Ray is a super guy!! Thank you again for coming so quickly. You definitely earned our business
Ray called me right back on a Wednesday. Our A/C had died. We really needed fast service. Our own HVAC company never called us back! Ray checked our system out on Wednesday afternoon and replaced our unit on Friday morning Great service. Very responsive. My husband is disabled and having A/C is very important for him. Ray was terrific! I'd recommend Ambient to anyone and everyone!
Had an issue with a boiler, his tech came out same day, could fix it for 1300$ but told me the boiler had outlived the manufacture expectations. Talked to Ray about a ballpark figure for a new boiler. His quote was 8000.00. Having been in the construction field for 30 years I contacted a few other contacts that I had. They all said under $4000. When I informed Ray of this he took an attitude and said they weren’t going to make any money on the deal. I understand making a profit but I felt he definitely was taking advantage of the situation. I would NEVER hire this person or company.
We had Ambient Heating out to conduct our yearly furnace and gas line inspection. Zach did a great job on both inspections. He povided us with information that will keep our family safe and warm. Thank you!

I am very thankful to the Ambient technician who was able to come to my house today on the same day I called. He was extremely personable and very professional. He knew exactly what he was doing and tested everything before he started to work and found I needed a new motor. I will definitely call Ambient in the future. Thank you so much!!! I had Hurley and David come out to my house today to look at my furnace to see if it could be fixed to get some heat . I was told I needed a new unit at the cost of 10,103 ... I tried for financing it didn’t go through so basically was told to call them back if I figured out my financincing situation . I then was referred to Ray at Ambient Heating and let me tell you it was the best referral I could have received . He was patient with me after calling him after I got the worst service from Hurley and David . Ray not only came out within 20 minutes because I had no heat he was ABLE TO FIX MY EXISTING FURNACE. If you want an honest trustworthy man who has your best interest in sight contact Ray at Ambient Heating . Best decision I ever made . He’s reasonable and trustworthy and he will be the only SERVICE TECH and company I’ll ever call to service my furnance from now on . BEST PART IT DIDNT COST 10,103 TO FIX . My heating and A/C unit stopped working without warning last week and would not restart. The temperature was over 80 degrees in the house. We are new to Springfield and didn't know who to call, I found Ambient Heating and Air Conditioning online. I spoke with Ray and he sent a technician right out. They couldn't have been better, they came when they said they would, fixed my problem right away for what they said it would cost. No surprises at all. Ambient will be doing all my service work for now on. D.G.
I've called 3 times because my heat broke, left messages that it's an emergency and my house is freezing. They never called me back in that 9 hour time frame to even give me an idea of when they could come out. I slept with an electronic blanket which broke in the middle of the night. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND this place. :(

After discovering water pooled on my basement floor, I was relieved that Zach from Ambient was able to come out the very next day to service my A/C system. He quickly installed a new condensate pump (this time with a safety switch to prevent future overflows) and also added some insulation to a suction line and secured a loose duct at no extra charge. I really appreciated the fast response, careful inspection of the equipment, and thorough explanation of the work done.
Ray and Zach, from Ambient Heating and AC, Are Top Notch Professionals, Amazing work show up as scheduled, and go above and beyond. My new AC looks and works amazing. Cool at last, Thank you guys.
I have nothing but good to say about Ambient...they earned this 5 star rating. The technician that responded to my home (Zach) and his boss (Ray) were courteous and professional---more important---friendly and knowledgeable. Something else that seems more unheard of these days? Timely!!! And I learned more from Zach on my home's HVAC system in the couple hours he was here than I did from my builder's contractor with multiple visits! And with what we needed--some mouse-chewed wire repair--their pricing was incredibly fair! I can say unequivocally that Ambient just became our "go to" HVAC company!
