They were able to set an appointment right away and came on time. They were able to fix my whole house attic fan and several other places were unable to do so. They were professional and friendly. I would recommend this business and call for services in the future. Thank you!
I don’t really understand how they can run a business as they do. They arrived late for our appointment which, I was not upset about because Stan called and was very responsive. I was very excited to meet them, unfortunately we made a simple request and asked that they cover their shoes while walking around the house for our estimate. Without word to us, Stan turned to his coworker and said ‘Let’s get out of here, these people are a waste of time.’ They then left and didn’t even come inside for the appointment. When I called to ask him what’s going on he said he doesn’t want to ‘deal with you type of people because that means we will have to clean-up after our mess, cover everything, and get a cleaning crew’. First of all making assumptions about someone you’ve never met is awful, secondly wouldn’t you clean up after yourself to begin with? I’m not leaving this negative review because Stan/Alternative Mechanical Services didn’t want to do our house, if he had looked at our house and decided it was beyond their ability, fine. I’m leaving it because he didn’t even try, made assumptions about me as a person, and was absolutely unprofessional.
Well they did fix the AC. 120hr which seems standard, but charged me 180 for an hour of work because 2 guys came out.
I had several issues with my furnace and decided to replace it, called several companies for estimate, Stan Kusy the owner of Alternative Mechanical Services gave me a very fair price on replacement of my furnace and 40g water heater. They arrived on time and during installation of the furnace I've noticed that my condescending (AC) unit was almost out of commission. I asked for quote on adding replacement of the AC unit and they finished everything ( furnace, AC and water heater) in one day. Very clean, friendly and professional service, they even vacuumed near by carpet after. Everything works grate so far. Great Job.
Everything started out okay because I went to AMS for a couple of fixes needed but then all of the sudden Stanley started becoming unresponsive for money that I should be refunded. In the end, he ends up swearing at me and hastily gave my money back. It would’ve been helpful if he had explained WHY he didn’t give me the refund but he never did so I guess I’ll never know!
We recently had to have our boiler replaced in our home on the coldest week of the year. AMS had the new boiler delivered in less than 24 hours and worked tirelessly to make sure we had heat that same night. We couldn’t be happier with the service and are so grateful for the guys at AMS for getting our heat working again!
Alternative Mechanical Services was very professional and knowledgeable answering all my questions while servicing my HVAC unit. They were able to come the same day and very reasonably priced. I’d highly recommend Alternative and I will be using them in the future.
Good People and Good Business
My heater stopped working and they were able to come out and fix it promptly, even though it was after 6 p.m. The gentleman who came was very polite and knowledgeable, and seemed to genuinely care. I would definitely recommend them. Thanks! :)
I've used AMS two times over the last few months and I doubt I'll bother using anyone else for my home HVAC needs down the line. These guys have been incredibly prompt and appear to know their stuff. Both of my problems were quickly located and resolved. The only thing that I would advise is to be mindful of their hourly labor rate ($120). It's in line with the norm for that industry, but it can add up.
AC stopped working in the midst of another heat wave. I called AMS, and they were here in no time. The gentleman I worked with was kind, courteous, and professional. They found the issue and repaired it in no time and did a quick check out of the rest of the system before leaving. Wonderful service, will recommend them to others in need and will definitely call the again.
The AMS guys were very professional and knowledgeable when they helped update my old heating system to a new, energy efficient, propane heat system along with central air. I have used these guys for years and could not be more impressed. Their customer service is excellent and response time is quick. They know what they are talking about and saved me a lot of money. Pricing is the best around! I recommend them to all of my family and friends.
Had a problem with AC just as a heat wave was starting last summer. Service was prompt, courteous and hassle free. Would hire again.
