Allen got most of his start from the very beginning from my family flipping houses and to purchase rentals. Also My wife is from Taiwan and during the big boom in the Kansas City Mo. area of restaurants opening, Allen has rewired many new Oriental restaurants. He worked his way up to become incredibly a Larger business. You would think that's good but without a true office where people can go and sit down to look over all the paperwork with management or secretaries it's very difficult playing patty cake on the phone . I guess some old-fashioned like that. I got a lot of gratitude and cannot say enough how kindness this guy is! But truthfully now that his company is running under his name and his involvement Hands-On it's limited to betting on jobs. He needs a real office with real people that you can confidently feel comfortable! One thing I can guarantee you that there's this one guy named Charlie that works for him and he's just absolutely a great electrician and a great guy. Everything nowadays is a big rat race and everyone googles what prices should be and everyone follows that trend. I would suggest to use Allen's electrician because the other companies are just following the same Internet Bible guidelines what to charge to do electrical work. I guarantee you he is the right choice!
This is THE place I will get all future electrical work done. The guys were on time, so nice and professional, and meticulously cleaned up afterward. we got multiple bids on the work needed, and Allen’s was $1000 cheaper than the competitors, and the work was great quality! If you’re taking a deep dive into googling electrical companies, look no further.
Great work. Had a commercial hood that no one could figure out. Fast and efficient
Tim who came out to give the estimate was specifically asked about removing overhead lines when moving the electrical from the house to underground. That didn't happened and when I called his boss about it, he lied and said he never told us that. Lesson learned get EVERYTHING in writing. Also a job that was to take less than 3 days, started in November and did not get finished until January. He also failed to mention a possible charge from Evergy for inspections of $775. Very poor communication. And tons of wiring left in the basement. I would not recommend them to anyone!
2003 Allen just started out with his business. I was honored for him to be one of his first customers. Throughout the process of in grown his business my wife have passed off good references to quite a few companies. Mostly Chinese restaurants. He's done one after another right after another! Even one time I've called him while he was putting up lights on the Marriott hotel! Famously noticed for all those cool animation stuff! Extremely excited to see him grow! He started off with my first project and now that I'm not doing anymore homes he's finished with my last project! Mostly now he has his front office running the business with him only being Hands-On for given quotes. Well deserved! I'm not used to front office employees when I'm so used to working directly with the owner.. The actual labor workers was way above and beyond excellent! Front project manager quite often in left field with overly educated in business management thinking. I personally expected human common sense integrity towards a long time customer as I've gotten from the owner. By all means I could be old time selfish like that? If you want a great experience with the labor and the secretary this is definitely the company you need to go with! Should always get good common sense human courtesy right off the bat. Jennifer mention about Charles - absolutely one of the best top laborers I've ever met! He ran an awesome crew through my last project home!
Very friendly and professional. Showed up when he said he would. Gave us some excellent advise!
Didn't have the supplies when he needed when he got here. He made some snotty remarks about the people that was working in the house. And wasn't very knowledgeable on things he had to do while he was here
Great service
Called to get a 200amp upgrade. Allen's Electric made is soo easy; they got the city permit, called the electric company etc. Some companies don't. They came out on one of the coldest days of the year worked their tales off, did top notch quality work, and had the power turned back on by mid afternoon. Very impressed. I will use them again, and would recommend.
These guys are great to work with!
