Sorry...I posted the review on the wrong business
Super fast and efficient! Guys know what they're doing and are professional! (Josh & Ryan). Highly recommend!
I had a complete install of HVAC to replace a faulty HVAC System. I thought the Installers paid attention to detail, but I later learned, they had not. On one issue the tech. claimed someone stole the outside fuses. This was quite a bit after the install. [A worker had come out the day after the install and said they needed to check on Dave's wiring?] . The next electric bill alerted me that something was wrong. It was too high. I found that Heat Pump was not even running when it should. It was still winter. I started to do my own troubleshooting. A skill I learned and honed long ago on a 200 acre berry farm. I found a micro switch in the thermostat set to wrong mode. But with no power to the outside compressor, it was not working anyway. I discovered that the installers did not connect the air handler to the ductwork at all. It was just set over the opening and on the floor of the closet. There were huge gaps on all sides and it had been heating/cooling the crawl space too. My install was done by Fire and Ice [I do not know who Aire Serv is?]. But during the process they sold their customer list and were out of business when I tried to call. Next time I checked they were up and running again. I was looking for another company to fix it all. The owner, George, was responsive and then he did not return calls. But I had the contact details for his lead tech, Alan. I had to call him to come out to fix major and minor things that were mucked up by the installers. He was nice about it, but I have lost confidence in Fire and Ice. On the air handler/ductwork connection, I had 2 other Companies look at it. Their opinion was same as mine. Bids to fix it were high. But then I was able to get George and Alan out to "fix" it. I gave them another chance to make all up to industry standards. George and Alan did come out and used heat tape to make the connection. Normal connection is via a plenum made out of sheet metal and sized properly. They use
These folks are top notched. I called on them when my furnace wasn't working and they came out the same day, maybe lucky, but were able to get my system up and running with a temporary fix and then completed the permanent fix within a week. Thank you Aire Serv for being there and keeping my family warm.
2 stars for showing up on a weekend, I found through Home Advisor. Saturday my furnace started stinking up a storm, I shut it down. F & I came, diagnostics for over an hour,"could be this, or that, nothing standing out, it's old, get a new one. Left with no solution. They sent email with prices on new ones almost immediately. I almost did fall for it, thought " no, Google says furnaces should last about 15-20 years, mines only 10, I better get a second opinion." Called a competitor, came out 1st thing in AM in about 10 minutes had found it was the Capasitor. Granted it was still spendy to fix, but about 1/10th the price of a new furnace. Google g capasitors, I found this should have been an obvious thing to check, these guys didnt., so,,DUH!!! Very disappointed in this company, Buyer Beware!
I waited to write this review until I had time to do some research. Unfortunately I was charged $229.00 for an “HSI nitride igniter” for parts and labor. A part that I was told was considerably expensive can be found online for less than $20. (I got a picture of the part’s model number and looked it up). As far as the labor; around 5 to 10 minuets to install that piece. I feel I was lied to about the cost of the part and ripped off. Did they know how to install the part? Sure. I this is a poor business model and leaves me very disappointed. Life is too expensive for this to happen. I do acknowledge that I could have declined the install; however I’d be down the service charge it took for him to come out. I called the company to give this feedback and the person’s response was “hey, my guys need to make money too.” While I can not yet vouch for a place for heating and AC repair, I can certainly NOT RECOMMEND using this company.
Good group of guys. Quick call back, on time (early?) arrival, and quick problem resolution. I was happy with the end result and would call them again. ... in fact, they are my go-to source for my annual inspection and any repair service we need.
Hiring this company cost us $300 in fees to another company to FIX the mistake they made. After 3 days of not installing a gas line properly, 4 technicians unable to fix the leak and gas valve, having our gas turned off by nw gas, 2 nights with no heat (one being the 21 degree night), technician breaking the red seal placed on the meter by NW gas, this company not obtaining a county permit to do the work in tge first place and having the owner just now berate me and call me a liar.....hire them at your own risk!
Fire and Ice responded to my request immediately. Allan came right away on a Saturday. He inspected the thermostat and everything checked out. There’s a larger problem so the issue is not fixed but I was very impressed with the punctuality. Would use Fire and Ice again.
I had a very poor experience with Fire and Ice Heating & AC. George installed a unit that had been sitting in a warehouse for years and represented it as a new unit. There were all sorts of problems with the installation and when it was finally in, I couldn't get the warranty because it was too old. Then it had a leak and he ended up taking it out because he couldn't ever get it to work properly. He then only gave me a partial refund. I would not recommend this company, I later had a unit put in by a competitor and the professionalism was amazing. Do your due diligence, read reviews and shop around!
Stay away from this people. They will try to rip you apart. My Ac motor burn out. It need replace. Quote me 600$ told me motor 450$. I know motor cost around 150$ but it is urgent. I agree 600$. You know what before he come do the job. Give a call about motor price cost 3 times what he has quoted. He try to rob me.This guy do very funny business. I decided take the motor out go to AC supply. It cost 159$ for motor and 10$ for capacity. Put them back. Now AC fine. If you want try this company go head.good luck
We had a new A/C installed at a rental home by Jordan this past week & was happy with their service. However, the whole system stop working a couple days later & right during the triple digit days. It was hard to get a hold of them. Update. I changed the rating since problem was solved. Thanks Google for making my voice heard.
I did not get a unit repaired here but I was shopping around and called. The gentleman I talked to was nice and upfront about the cost of my situation and gave me some really good advice.
Our family loves and respects the service George does. He is beyond trustworthy. His honesty about what we should do with our oil furnace is straight talk and honest. He has a heart of gold and understood our current financial situation. His recommendation of converting from oil to gas has captured our decision. We are in the track of starting to save in order to make the conversion by this summer. Thank you George and Josh Renee
Matt was especially helpful with available options and made sure we were completely satisified with the installation.
Jordan and his crew are awesome to work with. There on time and get the job done. I'm the kind of guy that ask a million questions and some contractors get annoyed but Jordan was very patient with me and walked me thru every question I had. If I could give this company a 10 star I would. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.
Really good guys. Professional and knowledgeable. They worked hard to find a timely solution for my failed mini split system that stayed within my budget. Really appreciated their honesty and flexibility.
Jordon is honest and making my home warm in the winter and cold in the summer!
Fast ,very friendly, solved our problem quickley
I wish I had read the reviews before I called the company. George said he could do it reasonably and right away and pushed me to do it sooner. He quoted one price over the phone and then the written one included an additional $1000 to "expedite" the job. It was his idea to do it that week and then charges an added fee. His way of doing business is unprofessional. His assistant, Devon(sp?) tried to remedy the situation and match the other bid. By then, I was afraid of them finding extra work and fees to get up to their original bid. I would not use George, but if his assistant ever gets on his own, he is a good guy
