Never again! Initially thought this guy was good but save yourself the headache and protect your wallet by choosing a more knowledgeable, professional and reliable HVAC contractor! I wish I could give ZERO stars.
Really impressed with K and his team. They were responsive, explained everything clearly and worked through solutions we are going to try to mitigate the issue with path-of-least-resistance (and cost!) first. Our previous provider was unimpressive to say the least, so I am thrilled we found this company to work with going forward!
Refused to provide a price idea (non binding) upfront. Very clear and obvious attempt to price gouge. We had an error code on our furnace that told us we and issue with our Draft inductor motor. This company refused to give us a price idea for fixing a draft inductor motor without coming to look at it. We told them and price suggested would obviously be non binding as there are million other things that the problem could be but we were just hoping to get an idea of their pricing. They they couldn't give us a price idea for this very specific, simple issue. We went with them any way....Silly us. They Charged us $200 to come out and tell us that there was something wrong with our Draft Inductor motor. Just like the error code said. They than quoted us $1300 to fix the problem. When we googled the part, new from the manufacture complete with surrounding parts (which probably don't need to be replaced), the total cost was under 200 bucks. There is an unedited video on YouTube of someone changing out the motor in 16 minutes. When we told their employee about the prices we found, he mumbled something about the part being 600 and the rest was labor. We told them no. The main office then called and offered to do it for two hours of labor "but with no warranty". When asked about the warranty if we did go with their full priced services, they were not able to produce details. Straight price gougers. Will not call them again and suggest you don't either. I guess we spent $200 to figure out who not to use and confirmation of our error. I guess that's a win?
I wrote a review (Two words) The best. Please Change my review to THE WORST He has been here to service my boiler 3 to 4 times (very expensive) Boiler is still not working. Will have to have service done with another boiler company.
Fixed my unit same day and I haven't had any issues since. Quick and reliable and above all affordable. I had quotes from many and no one gave me a better price than these guys. You will not find anyone more knowledgeable than these folks. Thank you for everything
I generally don't do this but I am pleased to write this review. The employees of this company were professional, on time and had a passion for quality work. I highly recommend Affordable Heating Cooling & Appliances!!!

We all know how hot summers have been, so when my AC konked out and my usual guy didn’t pick up the phone or respond quickly to my text, I was concerned. I found Affordable Heating Cooling through Nextdoor and was so relieved when K answered the phone and came to service my AC within a couple of hours. When I had a follow up issue, again he responded immediately. I have an old system and he was willing to work with it rather than pressuring me to upgrade. He struck me as capable, reliable, honest and happens to be a really nice guy.
This guy was so rude - his tone was aggressive - I simply asked for him to come and take a look at my boiler and in trying to explain the issue( condensation coming from my air vents whenever we turn the heat on) he got upset because I didn’t know the proper terminology (that’s the reason you call a professional isn’t it!? Because you don’t know!) anyways he yelled at me and said he didn’t understand what I was saying and that I basically should go to someone else - Completely unprofessional - don’t go to this guy unless you know how to speak boiler haha - apparently he only services experts. Smh
Called for quote, and person who answered phone only sad, “Not going to happen.” Don’t waste your time with this company.

These guys were off the charts awesome!! They showed up on time, they were professional and curious, they kept their word, and did a great job!!!! Even though the job was more than they anticipated, they kept the price the same. I can't say enough about them..... I highly recommend!!!!!!!

Had loss of heat on a rainy Memorial Weekend and called Affordable Heating. True to his word, K showed up and diagnosed and explained the issue to me in layman terms. He went on to fix the issue and made recommendations for the medium and long term. Am impressed with professionalism of Affordable Heating and will surely use them again.
Our AC unit wasn't turning on at the beginning of the season, and with a new baby in the house it was important for us to get it fixed ASAP. The guys at Affordable responded really quickly, rapidly diagnosed a cascading series of problems with the system, and got them all fixed within a couple of hours. It was excellent work all around, and we would definitely use them in the future.

Kay saved the day. Our heat went out on a Sunday before a big snow storm. He was responsive, quick and didn’t take advantage of our emergency. Thank you Kay!
K is great. Professional, did exactly what he said and when he said it would happen, and no sales pitches - honest info about what we needed and didn't need. New furnace / AC installed on time and on budget.
We had a great experience. He was able to come out the same evening and fix our air conditioner! He was professional, reasonably priced and followed up to make sure it was functioning. Highly recommend!
