we generally do not leave reviews. Don and Dehlia are a wonderful team. Don did the job in the most efficient and professional manner. Thats coming from a former HVAC engineer. We highly recommend this honest, skilled and pleasant company.

Echo! After doing a fair amount of research and calling around I went with Affordable Furnace Repair and couldn’t be happier that I did. I almost can’t write enough good things about Don. He arrived on time (in fact I feel terrible because he had to wait 15 minutes for me), and gave me the coolest tutorial on furnaces while performing generally basic maintenance. He explained everything he did - his knowledge and skill was truly impressive! I told my wife that he is a genius and that’s not an exaggeration. All told he did the basic maintenance with some fine adjustments to the ignitor and the flame sensor, and replaced the capacitor, which was old and reading low. There is no upselling or anything like that going on here, just a true pro that is really skilled and passionate about his work. I won’t hesitate to use Affordable Furnace again. In fact, if it were possible to be looking forward to furnace maintenance or repair, I actually would be! But Don also told me that we should be able to get another 10 years out of our 26 year old powerhouse gas furnace, a two-stage Rheem Plus 80. Thanks Don!
Second time we’ve used Don over the years. He really is a great guy. Super friendly, explains what he’s doing, and we’ve been really happy with his work. I almost hate telling you how awesome he is—don’t want him all booked up when I need him again!
If I could give these guys more stars, I would! My mother used this company when they still serviced the Eastside. Sadly they no longer service the area where I live but they do service Shoreline. The furnace at our rental in Shoreline died last Fri evening (murphy's law). We had another company that works on the weekend come out but they said our blower and inducer motor were both out and given the cost ($1597 for the blower and $847 for the inducer motor) and that our furnace is 16 years old, they recommended replacing the furnace. I wanted a second opinion and my renters were okay with waiting because the first company didn't have the parts so even if we wanted to just change the parts, we would have to wait until Mon to see how long it would take to get the parts. To replace the furnace, we would need to wait for one of their sales guys to come in to give us an estimate. Then they would still need time to order the furnace and schedule an install. The first company charged us $142 (incl. tax) for this "diagnostic" visit that ended up being a complete waste of time and money. I was also questioning this first tech's diagnostics because my renters said the blower was working, they just weren't getting heat. I also just had a blower replaced at my house and was charged around $900. I asked the tech about it and all he said was that his readings showed the blower wasn't functioning at the proper level so it should be replaced....whatever that means. On Monday, I called Affordable Furnace. Their receptionist was really kind. I explained what happened and they squeezed us in that same afternoon. She even made sure that Don (think he is one of the owners) called well in advance because it would take time for me to get up there from my house. They gave me a two hour window and Don arrived well within that two hour window. He also called 10 minutes beforehand. Don agreed that the inducer was seized but said the blower was totally fine. Don came by and diagnosed a vibration in the inducer motor in my furnace. Other shops did the same thing but the difference is, Don had a part on his truck and repaired it right there and then, saving me about $1000. The other shops suggested a large fix that wasn't necessary. Others suggested I just buy a new furnace for $5k. Don fixed the solution and saved me an unnecessary big ticket purchase. There other other good shops in town but note that they really are incentivized to move new units. Don specializes in repairs, not new sales.
Don was knowledgeable and friendly. He provided valuable recommendations and was straightforward about what's necessary and unnecessary. Definitely will use again for the reasonable prices and great service!
What a treat! Don and Zack were a pleasure to meet, arrived on time (after performing a "good Samaritan" mission) and provided efficient, professional service for our non working furnace. The diagnosis was quick and accurate and a repair and overdue maintenance was completed at a VERY reasonable price. I would strongly recommend Don and Affordable Furnace Repair to anyone/everyone. You won't go wrong!

Don installed our electric furnace and it has been wonderful to finally have heat. He comes out and cleans it regularly because we have been doing a lot of remodeling. Thank you Don!
Another 5 star recommend. I checked reviews for furnace repair, possibly a new furnace; I chose Affordable Furnace Repair based on the numerous 5 star reviews & comments. I called & Don came out, took time and checked out the old furnace which I'd been having lots of problems with; and I ended up purchasing a new furnace. In a few days Don & his dad, Doug, came out and installed the new one. I had complete confidence in their ability, their trust worthiness plus enjoyed conversations with Don about his 10 day old little daughter! He's a brand new daddy and Doug a brand new grandpa. Generally I don't give 5 stars, usually 4; however, they were exceptional thus 5 stars.
Don is fantastic. Not only did he diagnose our issue within the first five minutes, he never tried to over sell us on anything. He gave us plenty of ideas on how to optimize our unit's efficiency to get the most out of the old girl. He was efficient and very attentive to details. He also provided a ton of information to help us use the furnace moving forward. His work ethic, knowledge, and efficiency are a breathe of fresh air after our repeated disappointing experiences with several Day and Night techs. Affordable Furnace Repair is now our company for life.
