Accent came out to my home in May of 2020 as assigned by our home warranty company, American Home Shield. We were having problems with our heat pump, specifically the AC. The unit made a strange clicking sound and then we smelt burning. Of course, we turned it off immediately and contacted AHS. The tech from Accent finally came out to inspect and he spent about 2 hours here trying to diagnose the issue. He never found anything wrong but said that the Nest thermostat was doing "weird stuff." He decided, without first discussing it with me, to swap out the $300 Nest thermostat with a cheap Honeywell. He said in his report, "found nothing explaining the burning smell." He did not go up into the attic where our air exchanger was located. About 2 months later our Heat pump stopped altogether and the air exchanger drip line got clogged, which caused flooding and ultimately soaked through and destroyed all of the drywall in our ceiling and subsequently the carpet below. The entire system had to be replaced. A different HVAC company came out and of course, went into the attic to inspect the problem. He found that the air exchanger had a dedicated breaker next to it in the attic. He opened it up to find it had caught fire and said he was perplexed as to how our home did not burn down.

Accent Heating and Cooling was great! We were connected with them by our home warranty American Home Shield to fix our A/C after it went out this summer. Tracy and Travis were incredible. I wish I could say the same about AHS. Tracy patiently helped navigate me through the warranty process and continued to follow up with AHS regarding the issues with my unit. We were able to get AHS to pay for my compressor/condenser but it was going to be a long wait until the unit arrived. Surprisingly, a Carrier unit arrived sooner than anticipated and Travis agreed to work late to get it installed. He and another man arrived around 4:30pm and didn't leave until almost 10pm to get it up and running. We were so thankful for their willingness to work late and "make up for" the nightmare that was American Home Shield.

Had an issue with my heat pump, submitted a claim with my home warranty company. They showed up same day. Turned out just to be a wire. They didn’t try to sell anything extra and fixed it right away. I was super impressed. Great customer service!!
Travis was fast, efficient and explained everything to me. Gave me some tips for better AC performance too. Assigned through AHS and I would recommend their service!
Our aged AC died just as the weather suddenly hit 90 degrees this week. Accent Heating & Cooling was incredible to work with and got us set up with a brand new AC, furnace and parts! They were responsive and hard working and thanks to them my family is far less grumpy than they've been all week!
I used them through my home warranty company AHS. They were assigned to me. The scheduling person was very friendly and helpful. AHS(the warranty company) was a pain for both of us to call, but Accent was patient through that process. They called me when an appointment opened up and got to me DAYS SOONER than originally planned. I had two technicians arrive, as I had two tickets. They explained what they found, and I found them to be unbiased and honest(I'm fairly mechanical and technical). Ended up not needed a refrigerant recharge, and were upfront based on that. Given my positive experience I'm having them quote the replacement cost of my 25+year old systems... just in case. If I need to replace in the future, and the price looks reasonable, I'll definitely go with Accent.

New to the area and our AC went out on one of the HOTTEST days! Contacted our home warranty company and I was told that I would be contacted within 24 business hours, yikes! Accent called within one hour and scheduled for a technician to come out the following day. Tom from Accent Heating and Cooling arrived, replaced the motor and capacitor in the heat pump and the AC is working PERFECTLY!! Great customer service and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Very impressed. My parents called their home warranty and had Accent come out to refill the Freon. Travis came out and check the whole system out. Found the last person who came out ruined the o ring and the connection. Fixed a leak in the line and swapped out filters. (My parents had those on hand) I don’t understand the star rating they have because we highly recommend them.
I am very confused with the one star ratings. We had Accent remove our old furnace and install a new heat pump and air handler. They did pull a permit, did the job in a reasonable amount of time, and were professional and courteous. We have had them service the system since then (2007) and they're always on time and do a good job. Heck, the last time we had them service it, the tech noticed that our dryer vent had lint built up in it while he was outside at the heat pump and vacuumed it out for us while he was there. I just called them tonight at closing time for a service call. Left a message and they called right back and are going to be here tomorrow morning to take care of it. What more can someone ask for?
After reading a few reviews of this company I knew I was going to write an honest review one way or the other, and honestly I can’t imagine having a better experience than we did with Accent Heating and Cooling. They came out the very first day for a temporary fix So we had a warm house, and communication from the office from start to finish was very good until they could come back out for the complete fix a few days later once the part came in. The men who fixed our furnace were punctual and worked efficiently. I would definitely recommend them, It seems like they’re trying hard to give their customers a good experience now.
They refused a repair. Just took pictures and insisted a replacement
If I could give them a 0 I would. They were chosen by American Home Shield to replace my furnace. Do not hire this company. They refuse to give me an itemized bill for what I have paid for. Which I know they over charged me. They never answer their phone or return phone calls. Not only that but they replaced my furnace with an insufficient size. The original guy that came said the unit was too small and made a list of all the things that needed to be replaced. The kid that showed up to replace the furnace smelled like pot and didn't need replace everything I was being charged for. We even had to call them and ask if they filed for a permit while he was working on it and we had already paid for. They have come out numerous times and I have yet to see the same person. My second floor does not cool or heat up. I have had two other companies come out and verify that the unit is not sized right and that I paid too much. I am currently still trying to resolve this issue with AHS and looking into hiring an Attorney. Stay away its not worth the stress !!!
