Had a team come look at our malfunctioning AC. They told us a part needed to be ordered and it would take a month. No big deal. After a month, I call them to see when they can come in and they tell us they lost the service ticket with our information and apparently don’t have any record of them ever coming. We’ve been a month without AC in July and August thanks to them. Would absolutely not recommend this company.
Replaced our boiler at a very reasonable cost and it works great. Really pleased we chose them.
Would not recommend Abner to do any boiler repair again they come to fix the boiler never resolved the problem ,got a huge bill and then they will not answer your calls 4j4or return your calls very disappointed never again.
They fixed our fan on our boiler for us. After talking to a few people and telling family what we got charged, they connected us with someone else who does work like this. Sounds like they charged us $400 extra for the part. On top of that, after already fixing it, they proceed to tell us that the boiler itself doesn't have much life left. So instead of giving us the option of whether or not we would just like to replace the whole thing, they charged us an arm and a leg to fix a single part to only need to spend even more to get the whole thing replaced very soon. Also, when we went with someone new the following time the new guy told us that the boiler (installed by Abner Boiling & Heating Company) had multiple installation errors--one of the major ones being that the water flow on the boiler is piped backwards. Overall, not a single good thing to say about them.
Great plave to call to get work done at a extremely low rate. Made calls to ALOT of differant places cause we had a leaking steam pipe at work, every place i called turned me down, even for emergency service, first call to Abner and they were out to my work to fix my problem. Owner Stanley and his son inlaw came out and got the job done fast, true life savers, and they were extremely friendly and knowledgable. Will for sure be saving these guys as my goto company in the future to take care of my needs, and i suggest you do the same. Also the receptionist that answered phone is owners daughter, she was very friendly and nice to talk to over the phone.
Absolutely the worst service I have ever seen. I scheduled for my boiler to be fixed, the guy never showed up for the first appointment. When I call their company, their receptionist told me they will contact their guy and call me back but they never follow up. When the guy finally looked at my boiler, he wrote down the part number and said that he will call for the parts and come fix it when the part arrives. I waited for about a week, no replies from them. So I call back a week later, they told me that they are waiting for the manufacturer to reply. I was so fed up, I call the manufacturer myself and order the parts, it took about 3 mins. When my parts got here, I called abner again. The guy told me that he lost the part number. Like seriously, you don't have even have the courtesy to call me to ask for it??! So I told them I already ordered the parts and it's here already. Abner told me they will come to fix it. Two days past now, they haven't come yet. I called back again and was rudely hung up by them. Absolutely the worst worst service, please avoid this company by any means
I had a boiler inspection appointment with this company twice, and THEY DID NOT SHOW UP TWICE. This company has terrible customer service and obviously didn't care about my business. This first appointment was on a Thursday afternoon at 3pm. I called at 3:20, and the woman on the phone said "he's on his way." I asked for an ETA, and she said "oh, I'm sure he'll be there in 15 minutes." When I had setup the appointment, it came up in conversation that there are overtime charges after 5pm. When the person still hadn't arrived at 4:45pm, I called again to cancel my appointment and setup another one, as I did not want to pay overtime fees (since the lady wasn't sure whether I would have to pay overtime fees because they were late!). I gave them the benefit of the doubt - maybe earlier appointments had run long all day, so they just got too backed up. My replacement appointment was for 8:30am - the first appointment of the day. I was hopeful. I called at 8:50 when again, no one had showed. Guess what the gal on the phone told me? He would be there in 15 minutes. I had a friend staying with me, and I had to go to work, so I left. I contacted my friend at 10:15, and still no one had come! I called, no one answered, and I left an angry message asking for an explanation. No one ever called back. I had to take time off of work twice - what a huge waste of my time. I would recommend going with someone else. I used Action Plumbing, Heating, and Electric. They setup appointments in a 4 hour window, like a utility company does, and the guy called saying he was on his way and showed up during the appointment window. He was personable and knowledgeable, and took time to explain to us how our boiler worked (we are new home owners and knew very little about the system). We were very pleased with Action.
They did a great job replacing a few radiators.
For years a reliable and efficient boiler service. The service guys have a lot of experience on boilers and their cold water AC units.
I own several properties in Madison that have a variety of heating systems ranging from quite old to newer. I have used Abner Boiler & Heating Company to service repair and replace those systems for 20 years. They are very competent and professional and I have never had a problem with any of the work they performed. The charges for their services are extremely reasonable. I highly recommend Abner Boiler & Heating Company to my friends and acquaintances needing repair service, or replacement of heating and air conditioning equipment.
