Went through Home Warranty of America. It was a minor issue that Dave was able to fix however it's a struggle to get the 'service' paid for. Home Warrenty now has us pay the contractors directly for the deductible which normally isn't a problem but Dave doesn't do invoices, and doesn't do cards (only venmo?). When this is being paid by a property management company it makes things very difficult. it felt unprofessional and sloppy. He was willing to wait the 2 weeks it takes our program to send out a physical check but the hassle makes me never want to work with him again.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! My experience was the same as Mike Selz. This man borders on fraud and is truly unprofessional!! I repeat, do not use this company! We go through Home Warranty of America and he came out, took our service call money, then left us high & dry!! Awful, just awful!
Do not use if you are going through a Home Warranty company. We were approved to have our AC replaced and the home warranty company emailed us to say there was $400 in "non covered" work I would have to pay the HVAC technician. I called and they said there was a long list of not covered items but that I need to call the HVAC tech to see what that $400 was being charged for. I called and was told $100 was for removal and haul away of the old AC unit, which is fine. The remaining $300 was for any possible modifications that may need to be done to install the new unit. I asked that if those "possible modifications" didnt need to be done, then surely I wouldnt be charged for them correct? He responded by saying the home warranty companies dont pay him enough to do installations so he still charges ME for the work either way, and to think of it as a "deductible" and if I didnt like it that he wouldnt be coming to do any more work on my house. Not only is that incredibly unprofessional, but it borders on fraud. That prompted me to look up his company and the reviews were as bad as I expected them to be. My situation aside I refuse to work with anyone who has repeated complaints of inappropriate behavior around women.
Absolutely a disgrace on every level. From showing up different days than expected, inconsistent time frames, to cursing and belittling workers in front of us and our children all day long, to not doing things up to code, not installing vents level, putting a hole trough our kitchen since they didn’t measure for the attic space, not finishing having to come back 6 different times when the whole job should of been completed in 1-2 days tops... to a helper smoking under our house with our new baby, kids and us inside and arguing with us when we said it wasn’t ok. The list goes on. I would never in a million years recommend this company to someone else, we rent so our landlord sent them. They will not be back and I will have someone double check their work even if I have to pay for it myself to ensure our safety.
Dave was awesome to work with. Not only did he come when he said he would(which is hard to find in this crazy construction world) but he fixed the issue at a fraction of the cost that I was quoted by a the other larger hvac places. His charge for the r410a was fair. Other places wanted to charge $50-$70/lb for r410a. He charged only $15. This alone saved me hundreds of dollars. Now our house is finally warm. We've been waiting all winter for A1 and others I've called. I wish I would've found aardvark months ago.
David has been responsive and knowledgeable both times he has done service work for me. His experience affords him skill and local resources needed to serve his clients well. I appreciate old school Idahoans for their nature and David is one of them!
He showed up quickly, diagnosed the issue and resolved it quickly, did good work. Dave had good manners and customer service, would definitely recommend.

I have worked with Dave at Aardvark Heating and Cooling for over 15 years. He has helped me with rentals and clients with their personal homes and investments. Dave is honest and reliable. He has always treated me right, fair pricing and knows HVAC. He has a good idea of the problem when I call him so he either has the part or knows what it will take to get a system back up and running when he arrives. He is not like one of the many companies today that just want to tell you that every system they encounter is junk and needs to be replaced. I have had multiple times when a client has called the newer companies to the Valley that tell them they need to replace their system, only to have Dave come out and be honest that they only need a part replaced to get the system operational for typically many more years of service.
Dave and his crew did a awesome job. Took my old ac and heater out and replaced with a new one. Took them 8hrs. Best price in valley. Lots of experience. Would refer to anyone.

I bought an older home and less than a year later the air conditioner went out. David came out and replaced the unit and all was well. The following summer, my air conditioner kept blowing a breaker and would kick off. David came out numerous times before he was finally able to correct the problem. He was very courteous and professional. I would highly recommend him for any HVAC work.

Dave showed up in a very timely manner. Very knowledgeable about all of the system and Diagnosed the problem quickly. Dave was very efficient installing a new air conditioner and furnace. I have had a few issues come up due to machine malfunction, Dave was very quick to come out and resolve the issue.
David came out and gave me a quote on a new ac unit and coil as my coil had a leak inside the house and it wasn't getting that cold. He was able to get me a good deal on a matched pair and the price was in my budget. He and his team did a great job with the install and now my house is really cool. Thanks David we really appreciate it.
Never used this company but was side swiped from the van off emerald and orchard. The van also swerved down the emerald. I called the company to tell them and after I told him he was like ill talk to the guy and basically hung up when I was worried and he wasn't. My daughter was sitting on that side the van would hit. After I looked at the review and this isn't new to them and that's why he didn't care that I called.
Our house is coming on fifteen years old. We moved into the house last year and we thought it would be a good idea to have the furnace inspected. The Aardvark technician was performing said inspection/tune up. He was here for maybe fifteen minutes. He checked the voltage drops in certain parts of the furnace. He also remarked that there was a safety sensor which was disconnected, stating he would look further into why. He inspected a pipe and then was starting to pack up when I asked again about the safety valve. He said, "Well, someone disconnected it for a reason, so I'm just going to leave it how it is." He said that everything looked good with the furnace. All this took place in about fifteen minutes. He probably spent more time using our bathroom than actually with the furnace. Something didn't feel right. Therefore, we got a second opinion. Long story short, the furnace was in a bad enough state that there was gas leaking from the heat exchanger...enough (over 15,000 ppm) that the technician (not Aardvark) was legally obligated to shut off the gas. In the end, we bought a new furnace and had it installed (not through Aardvark, of course) so we could safely heat our house through the rest of winter. I'm sure glad we got that second opinion, because Aardvark did not do much of anything for us.
Aardvark heating and cool was AMAZING! Out furnace broke down in the middle of the night, they were at house the next afternoon. He immediately knew what was wrong. He got all the parts and fixed our furnace as quickly as he could. I highly recommend using them for all your heating and cooling needs!
Got the job done and it looks good. Also let me know I had a leak in my sink! Thanks guys.
