This company came to do maintenance on my AC unit, it was working for the time we tested , a week later it was blowing warm air, then I called them back to repair the unit they came back, changed a part and said it still not working , then they said that the whole unit has to be replaced. I DIDN'T BELIEVE THAT,, THEN I CALLED A REAL PROFESSIONAL COMPANY, THEY FIXED IT IMMEDIATELY!!!!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR , DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
Had A/c and furnace installed 4 years ago and a/c coil went out part was under warranty but labor was 1000.00 dollars. Told me Freon was over filled which I thought was weird since he installed the Freon. Then charged me 300 dollars for 6 pounds of Freon. Told my wife he doesn’t recycle the Freon so he was able to charge me for Freon. It took over a month and 6 rescheduled appointments to finish my A/C.
Piss poor attitude from the owner. Still trying to get my money back. Charged twice for freon charge, never even checked blower motor and said they cleaned the unit. Ended up calling another company and they found the problem in 20 minutes. Filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. UPDATE: Apparently they don't respond well to poor reviews
So it's May 26th 2020, all of a sudden it's hot as hell out after last week being in the 50's and 60's.. My AC went out on Saturday. Today is Tuesday after Memorial Day Weekend. I called multiple places, even AAA. Everyone said the same thing. We can't get to you today. Except AAA. The secretary said the day was filled with other appointments but would try to get someone out to my house today if possible. Man, they totally followed thru. At approximately 3:00p.m. in the heat of the day she said a tech is on his way to my house. 10 minutes later the tech was there. He was super professional and diagnosed the problem in 10 minutes as well. Then informed me my A/C unit was manufactured in 1994! He said I can probably expect more problems from the AC and furnace as well as they're both that old! I'm so glad he told me this info so I know what to expect in the future. I would highly, HIGHLY, recommend this company!
I had them do a furnace clean and inspect for the winter. He came out and made one minor part replacement suggestion. Said it would be $35. So i Agreed. He then charged me $75. I asked where the other $40 charge came from. He told me it was an installation charge. It didn't even take him a full minute to take out the old part and install the new one. Who the hell gets $40 per minute? Its dishonest to tell someone a part is one price, but not tell them there's an additional install fee. I had called them once before and they left their sticker on my furnace which offered a $10 off next service. He argued with me about weather or not this was considered service. He finally gave that, but my gosh whats with the games to get more money. He left within a half hour $150 ahead. $75 for the part and $80 for the cleaning. I hope he can still pay rent after taking the $10 off.
I have used aaa comfort for 15yrs very happy with the quality of work. my furnace went out this week , Elmer and his crew worked until 10:00pm to make sure i had heat . great job!!!!!!
Unbelievably unreliable. If u call be prepared to waste ur time. They have missed 2 appointments that they themselves set.
The service call is supposed to be 74.00 to come out, any company we have ever dealt with will tell you what is wrong and if you don't want to do it , then fine, not this place, He told us that would be 250.00 TO DO NOTHING! when that was not agreeable, our son had met with him on our behalf, he switched down to 150.00 to do NOTHING! we thought it was something minor, when we found out it was the compressor, we explained we had better go through our home warranty people which also chose to bail, he figured he better get what he could out of the call. So dishonest! Its really a shame most places just want to make the most they can with very poor service. No Pride in their work
I am a property manager for a townhouse complex in Joliet. I manage 44 units in 11 buildings. About 4 years ago we had another service company taking care of our heating and air when we realized we were being taken advantage of. My boss instructed me to look around to find someone new and quickly because I had an elderly tenant who's furnace had just gone out and it was cold out side. I began calling around and kept getting the run around about wanting someone to come out same day or the price was so high even I couldn't believe. That was until I called Elmer and Lisa at AAA. They gave me an amazing price and said they could have someone out within the hour and they did exactly that. It was then I decided to ask them to be our full time go to company for ALL our heating and cooling issues. I can call and have called Lisa in the middle of the night on weekends and even Holidays when one of our systems go down and they get right out to take care of it. I read a review that said all of the positive comments were from friends and family and I just wanted to say. They didnt start out friends or family they started out as our heating and cooling company but over the years they have become great friends and I would even say family. They care about their customers! They have never tried to sell me something we don't need and they have never over charged us for anything. We would highly recommend this company to anyone!
They fixed our furnace motor back in December with no issues so I thought it would be great to have them come out again and look at our a/c. I made the appointment was promised an arrival time for the tech between 5-6. They never showed. Never called to say they weren't going to show. I always give people the benefit of the doubt. But that is just unprofessional. They just lost a customer. I did however call another company that was way more and will fix my a/c.
Called AAA to get an estimate on replacing an old boiler. After two canceled appointments where one of the days i took off work early to meet the tech. I completely was fed up and by no means wanted to give them my business at this point. Completely unprofessional. I agree with another reviewer that stated these positive reviews are just friends or employees.
Elmer, AAA Comfort, has helped me a number of times over the years. At a school I worked at and now in my wife's business. Always good service and always high quality results. Call AAA Comfort!
A great company offering quality heating service. I actually had them repair my boiler first a while ago and decided to call again. After a second job well done I think you guys deserve at least my 5 stars for the quick reaction and good work.
I had my heat go out today and called and left message and got a call back in about 10 minutes and in and hour Corey came out and fix my heat problem within 15 minutes. He was very nice and it was reasonable priced.I would recommend they to all my friends and family.
Be aware. These people will scam you. Any simple fix. They will tell you you need to replace your unit. Stay away from this company. All the positive reviews written about them are from co workers n fake.
great service, poor professionalism
My air conditioner went out....of course a week it's 90 degrees outside I called many companies for estimates on getting it fixed and they all said it had to be replaced then gave me an outrageous price. The aaa comfort came and Elmer was by far the nicest installer I had out and was very reasonably priced after hearing from other companies that they would have to just let me know when they could to the Job or it would be a week it was amazing to hear that aaa comfort could do it fast which was great since the temperature is in the 90's. I recommend them to anyone who wants a reasonable price and great people.
AAA is an outstanding company, I HIGHLY recommend them. My water heater decided to start leaking and it was pretty much pouring water. I called at 3 pm and Elmer was here by 8:30 am the next morning (my leak wasn't an emergency so I picked the date and time). They told me what time they would be here and they were on time. The office said they would call when they were on their way and they did! Elmer is very personable and knowledgable and he didn't try to charge me for something I didn't need. I will definitely be having him back in a few months to service my boiler. Outstanding customer service!!
Elmer has serviced our home many times and we are very happy with his work. He is an extremely hard worker, knowledgeable, honest, and dependable. If we ever have any issues we call Elmer.
Thankfully it's been awhile since I've had to call them, but Elmer serviced our old home several times (for different problems). Can't say enough good things about the proffesionalism & service he provided each time. Prices were more than fair too...he went out of his way to try fixes before recommending replacements. I highly recommended using him.
