I'm writing this review in real-time just after the situation occurred. My wife and I had just returned home from our 1-year anniversary vacation after a long day of travel due to multiple flight delays. To our surprise, our HVAC system wasn't working properly, and soon after our return home, shut down completely. Our thermostats were blank, our control panel was blank, and our AC unit outside wasn't running. After calling multiple repair services in the Houston area, and being given the same sales pitch (way too many of these companies now have my email address), I called 5 Star Repair Services. While they told me that they were unable to assist me in person until the next day (unless availability opened up in the next couple of hours), they did tell me that they wanted to help out as best as they could over the phone. The advice that they gave me worked and saved my night and first morning back working from home. Through the experience, I learned a couple key things about 5 Star: 1. They actually have people on staff working to repair HVAC units; plenty of places I called claim to be 24/7 but aren't. 2. Even if they can't help in person, they care about their customers and want to make a different however they can. 3. They're not here to run you through a sales pitch. They aren't pushy, they don't hound you for personal information at the start of the call. They're just here to help make a difference!
Have used 5 star a couple of times. Not the cheapest around but honest, reliable and do good work.
Marlon did a great job helping to get my AC up and running smoothly. He explained the options sufficiently and taught me about how the system works while also tuning it up. Would recommend to those looking for a tune up, repair, or professional opinion before replacing your unit.

I really cannot praise this company enough. My A/C went out very late in the evening and I gave them a call. Marlon came out around 11 PM and had me back up and running in no time. He was extremely knowledgeable and very professional. I honestly didn't think that level of customer service still existed in this country. If I could give 5 Star more than 5 stars I would. These guys are the best in Houston, and by far the best I have ever had experience with.
Marlon came out on Sunday part of July 4th weekend with his largest concern being my system and making sure my poor dementia dad would be comfortable. He was pleasant, professional, honest and gave me a crash course in air conditioning 101. They just made themselves a life long customer.
5 Star services really bailed me out this weekend, they were one of the only places open and they were at my house within 40 minutes. Big shout out to Marlon
My neighbor told me about this guy, Marlon and that he was really good. Well, I'm telling the person, Marlon bout that. He knows his business. Told me what to do over the phone and was on point. Saved the day. It was cold last night.

Called several ac companies to come check out my a/c unit. Three outfits tried to sell me a full system, and the other two offered poor recommendations for repairs. The tech at 5 Star knew exactly what to do, and fixed my 20 year old A/C in less than 1 hour. Thank you.

Great service! Came on time. Called these guys at 8:20pm and someone was at my house by 9pm. Diagnosed the problem quickly and efficiently. Was professional and respectful of the home at night. Did not fumble and guess around. Knew exactly what the problem was and fixed it.
Five Star came out on a Sunday morning and in very short time had our AC up and running again. The representative was on time, knowledgeable, thorough, and respectful. And the rates were very affordable compared to other companies.

Came home to a dead AC and the house was 87 degrees. Called two other "24 hr" services, but they were booked until next day. Called 5 Star at 8:20pm and Marlin showed up just before 9pm. Diagnosed the issue quickly and had the capacitor on hand. Work was done in 30 min and AC is cooling just fine. Definitely recommend!
Richard was amazing. We couldn’t get anyone out there because it was after hours and he went above and beyond. Even called me to follow up to make sure everything was working ok. Mind you I called him after midnight. Everything was fixed and he checked on us around 1:30am. I highly recommend this company
They arrived in 30 minutes to fix my a/c. True life savors and wonderful workers! I highly recommend!
