Next amendment… They called me back and she was SO sweet. So maybe i was calling the wrong first choice?? Either way they are coming out . 😊 I’ll update my review after we figure out what’s wrong in my new home. I’m amending my review. I cannot get the company to call me back even in emergency situations. Today was Monday they were open all day and haven’t returned my phone call once. I just reached out one more time, and hopefully they will do the right thing and get back with me. I’ll update my review then if they do the right thing and come and get my system to work correctly. Again, this is a brand new build less than four months old and I should not have to make tons of phone calls and beg a company to come out who installed my system. Jon was amazing! I am in management at another company that has HVAC among other services for over 15 years. So in all honesty, I always use the company I work for for any svcs I may need. This company installed the AC/Heater in the new build I just purchased, so I called them to register my warranty. They showed up very quickly, and are very quick to respond through text messaging. (which I love!!) Jon was polite, professional, and wore shoe covers. He figured out why my system wasnt cooling all the rooms, and why I had insulation coming out of one of my vents. Without me even asking, he sealed it up as a courtesy. Being a lady who doesnt know a lot about hvac or heating, and this being my first home I have purchased. Everything has been overwhelming, and quite frankly, scary. Thank you so much Jon for helping me, putting my fear at ease, and educating me on some features I had zero idea about. Ladies, give them a call, and ask for Jon. He is great!!

It's been over 2 months and they still have not been able to fix my ac units. They've been out 5 times and still don't have a clue how to fix it. It's under warranty and they could easily replace the entire unit with a new one. Instead they just keep ordering parts they think it could be, wait for them to come in then install for it to still not work. They really don't care if you have working ac or not. This was warranty work on an install you did that never worked. Of course the labor is going to be at no cost.
We started out with 1st Choice with an issue on our Goodman AC. We did not purchase the unit from 1st Choice, but it needed a warranty part. We were able to reach out to Ed, the company owner and he went above and beyond to make sure we were treated as a valued customer and our issue resolved to our satisfaction. I think the best measure of a company is how they respond when things don't go as planned. I'm grateful to Ed and I would not hesitate to recommend 1st Choice! Thank You!
The contractor out of Kingsville Texas is extremely rude and unprofessional. I have been waiting almost a month for the ac to be fixed. I would call every other other day to check on status of parts delivery and for simple questions about the delay. He would get frustrated and raise his voice. He was contracted by the Home warranty company to do the repair, turns out he ordered the wrong part and it was delivered and he had to reorder the correct part. Eventually he just ignored my phone calls and I would have to call from a different number to get him to answer. When he finally answered I asked what happened with the part, he said it hadn't received it yet and was flat out dishonest. I had to let him know the home warranty company told me the part was delivered. Wasn't until after that he admitted he ordered the wrong part. So after 24 days of no AC in Texas heat still hasn't been fixed. I wouldn't recommend this company for any repairs.

I would call this company 1st NO SHOW world's worst customer service but hey I know it's the busy time for them and loosing my business isn't going to effect their bottom line and when the lady called to say they wasn't showing up for the third time I told her I would find someone else she said sorry about that click hung up just really felt not valued as a customer and really horrible customer service
Still waiting sir. You promised me to call on Friday with a plan. Today is Tuesday. This casita is very warm without AC for over 3 weeks.
The technician was an hour late to the appointment and there was no phone call to explain what was going on. When I called several times to the main office I was put on hold multiple times and one representative was incredibly rude. I do not recommend this service if you are looking for someone who values your time.
I am very upset with this company. We just moved in to a new built home last week and noticed our secondary drainage leaking a large amount of water to our front yard grass. We called 1st choice to come fix it and they sent someone who basically did nothing and said nothing was wrong and it's supposed to leak? Then it got worse so we called again. The next person that showed up he noticed a piece that was supposed to be sealed is not and that it's not a major issue but because it's not sealed he said it's causing a lot of air pressure leading to the extra water leaking. Well after he "fixed" the problem and said this wasn't a major issue 6 hours later our 2nd floor ceiling now is leaking water onto the carpet and cause dry wall water damage. This is disgusting because I've called so many times and when we asked for emergency assistance due to the leak no one ever showed up. I legit hate this company and their poor service. Don't expect much from them.
Once that warrenty is up you arnt a valued customer anymore. AC went out on a Friday afternoon so as instructed per their voicemail was to leave a message for on call tech. Sunday comes around, still without ac and no call back I decided to have another company come out and tell me what’s wrong. Paid them 135 and they explained what was wrong and shared the diagnostics with me so that I can share with 1st choice who was the company that did my home all so they could tell me we don’t go off of their diagnostics but we can send someone out and do exactly what they did and charge you 185 dollars. After already not calling back and after I had already explained what the issue was with the AC. Unfortunately they have high ratings on here because they treat you nice at the beginning and have their techs ask you to give them a 5 star rating.
Before Repair only: I called about 8 am to schedule my AC system repair during the earliest hottest days in 26 years. I was suppose to get a call to get scheduled. I did not receive a call. I found time from work to call (2pm) and they didn’t even have me on the schedule. Next available appointment is the next day. I have 3 small children with no cool air. I get it. It’s busy. I would rather get a call saying you’re not coming today instead of me calling to find out.
Technician was very thorough and did a very good job checking my systems.

Jon Harper is absolutely the most experienced, professional heating and air conditioning man in the business! Absolutely, hands down—he can fix, install units inside, outside and on your roof! I highly recommend this company, and especially Jon!
My home is a new built and have only been residing in it for one week, the thermostat reads 70% humidity and it can be felt in the home. I’ve contacted the company and during orientation I was told there was a part missing and would return in 2-3 days being Friday the latest. I received a call to let me know they will not be able to come till Monday. I have one year old son at home, and when I asked the individual by the name of Rose as to why I had I to wait so long for a mistake that was done on the company’s behalf she hung up on me. Very unprofessional and rude.
1st Choice Air Conditioning technicians Jon & Andrew came to my home today because I was having issues with airflow in two of my rooms. They were extremely professional and solved the issue as well explained to me throughout the process of what is going on. Thankfully it was an easy fix for them (I wouldn't have known how to resolve it myself). Afterwards they asked if I had any questions, which I had a ton, and they answered them perfectly and explained to me how to take care of my system. Not only were they a pleasure to work with but I could tell they have an awesome relationship as they seemed genuinely happy to work with one another and do what it takes to get the job done! I highly recommend 1st Choice Air Conditioning! They are professional, easy to work with, and will always get the job done. From the technicians to the customer service representatives that answer the phone. Easy 5 stars to give.
This is the most professional and honest group of people you will ever find in the HVAC community. Having worked in residential home construction I have seen many HVAC companies replace expensive parts to run up a tab when a reasonably simple repair would have fixed the problem. That is not the case with 1st Choice. Honest assessments and repairs! That is why I trust no other and gladly refer Mark and his company to friends and family without hesitation!
1st Choice Heating & AC did the right thing. 1st Choice repaired my AC back in Sept. It stopped cooling Friday night. Called them Monday morning and they showed up that afternoon. Matt, the tech, found that the problem was caused by the prior repair. They owned it...and did the necessary repair to fix the problem for NO charge. I really appreciate a company that will stand behind their service and do the right thing.
