The first time I contacted Best HVAC was in September of 2016, less than five months after moving into my first home. My central A/C had started leaking profusely in the basement due to some obvious neglect. Not only was Joe Marchione able to visit my home soon after I reached out, he was able to pinpoint and meticulously fix the problem in addition to providing other needed A/C maintenance.
When I contacted Best HVAC again in February of this year, due to a leaky water heater and abnormally high water pressure, Joe M. was able to check it out and diagnose the issue that very evening and return a few days later to install a new thermal expansion tank, which stopped the leaking from the relief valve.
He later returned to professionally install a new pressure reducing valve, which brought my water pressure down to normal. It had been reading around 96 and is now back to around 65.
Best HVAC is very reliable and Joe M. is a highly competent professional, who very considerately works within your schedule. The pricing is very fair and I have been consistently pleased with the results. Thanks Joe! -E
I'm very glad that an acquaintance of ours referred us to The Best HVAC to get a heat pump/AC system installed. From the moment I made initial contact, Joe was very timely and professional through all parts of the process. Within just a few weeks, we had a brand new heat pump system that was up and running, has worked perfectly, is very quiet, and most importantly, incredibly efficient. The difference it has made for our electric bills in just these first couple months has been mindboggling (in a good way), and we are very thankful that Joe was able to quickly fit our installation into his schedule.
Joe is dedicated, fair and honest. I am so thankful he was able to install our mini-split system for us. He was timely, knowledgeable and I truly feel he cared about the job he did which gave us great comfort. We highly recommend!!
Joe is indeed THE BEST! He is an honest, thorough, and principled HVAC specialist who gets the job done at a very reasonable cost. Last summer, I got hit with a huge electric bill due to my AC struggling to keep up with the mid-summer heat. I called a couple of HVAC companies. One wouldn't even come out because I didn't use "their" HVAC equipment. Two other companies quickly diagnosed that I would probably need to replace the entire system at a cost of around $10,000.
Joe came and took his time inspecting the entire system, found there were no freon leaks (which the other companies had assumed there were), and apologized for not being able to find the source of the problem after two hours of inspections. He charged me nothing and told me he'd think about it some more and get back to me.
The next morning, he called me and asked if he could stop by to test out a hunch he had. He came over and, sure enough, the resistance heat was coming on at the same time as the air conditioner. We discussed options, and for the short-term I chose to just unplug the resistance heating until winter. In the end, he only charged me a small diagnosing fee even though he had spent over three hours at my place over two days.
This winter I plugged the resistance heat back in and things were going smoothly until it got really cold. I called Joe back up and he came the next day and found that the second bank of my resistance heat was not kicking in. We knew the problem was with my control board based upon the AC issues over the summer, so Joe looked high and low for a replacement board, but could not find one.
And here's the thing about Joe. He loves a challenge and never stops thinking about it until he comes up with a solution. He called me the next day and said that he had a work around solution. We scheduled a repair appointment and after two hours of work, I had a fully functional unit that now heats and cools as it should.
For all of this work to fix both the AC and heating issues, instead of paying $10,000 to replace everything, I paid about $350. Joe is a lifesaver. He isn't a salesman for some HVAC supplier like most of the HVAC specialists out there these days. He's dedicated to fixing what you have regardless of the challenges involved. I highly recommend Joe from The Best HVAC if you have any HVAC issues of your own.
My heat died all of the sudden in a house I just moved into. I called Joe at The Best HVAC and he came out the very next morning and did some quick tests, he even called the manufacturer and a couple other folks to get other ideas as to the problem to ensure he fixed it right the first time. He quickly fixed the problem, and then gave my wife and I a quick lesson on how to get the most efficiency out of our heat pump, program our thermostat, and help us hang the thermostat back on. I'll use Joe again for sure!
Joe did a great job diagnosing our problem. He laid out our options clearly and promptly, allowing us to make an informed decision. We chose to replace our entire heat pump system and he finished the job in one day at a fair price. Will definitely use his services again in the future.
My husband and I definitely recommend Joe from The Best HVAC. He was extremely professional, thorough, and reasonably priced. He gave us an initial estimate, and even though the job was more involved than anticipated, he stuck by his original quote. Joe also cleaned up everything. He leaves things cleaner than when he starts! We would call Joe again in a heartbeat if we ever need any more HVAC work done. There's no better guy (and business owner) around!
This is my first time hiring a technician to service my HVAC. Joe is a class act and I couldn't be happier. He was prompt, thorough and checked details that I would have never even thought of. I can tell that he's been doing this for a while and his experience really shines through. It turns out that I had a minor issue with my oil heat and he knew right what it was over the phone. It only took him about 20 minutes to fix and he fit me in to a busy schedule.
The HVAC company that provided general maintenance for us went out of business this year. I contacted Joe to see if he could pick us up as an account. He provided excellent service in a timely manner and education on our heat pump system for the future. Very pleased with our initial visit.
I called Joe from Best HVAC in the beginning of November looking for a quote on installing a humidifier system in our home. He responded in a timely manner and came over a few days later. He was not wearing a mask as per state mandate and was coughing a lot. I thought not a big deal since I kept my distance and I figured if he did end up installing my unit I would stay in a different part of the house during the installation. When he left he said he would have a quote to me by email within 24 hours. Approximately 8 or 9 days went by and finally on November 17th Joe sent me the following email:
"Sorry about the delay in getting an estimate over to you. Since I talked with you I have been swamped with no-heat calls and maintenance calls. I am not sure when I will have time to do your humidifier for you. Most likely the beginning to the middle of next month.
Let me know if you still want a quote from me."
I responded by telling him I understand about being busy and that I would still like a quote. We are now in the first week of December and still no response. I initially called Joe due to his great customer reviews. I am sorry to say he was a disappointment. In addition to me sending him two emails I also left him a message. As of today (12/3/20) I still have not heard anything from him. If he felt he was not qualified or able to do the job I wish he would have just been honest and told us. Now, I'm a month behind on finding someone to do the job. Unfortunately, I cannot rate his work because he never followed through.
