During the heatwave our air conditioner went out. Cory was able to fit us into his busy schedule and fixed our problem. Overall our experience was speedy, professional, and his service was excellent. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my HVAC needs. We appreciate you Cory thanks again 🙏
I was in a very desperate situation, the weather was freezing. The day before Easter & the coldest April in Oregon in over 50 years. It's a weekend :Saturday, no other heating repair companies were answering their phones. My brand new tenants, who just moved in, were very cold all night and have young children, there very first night there. I Called Corey and he was booked for the day and more, he went out of his way added a extra emergency stop in a heavy rain hail storm and was so honest and had the repair part on his van that was a furnace ignitor that broke and he replaced and saved the day/night. I highly recommend Corey of Tanner Heating if your heater stops working any day of the week!!!!!
It has been a roller coater with my A/C system during this summer. Somehow the main furnace duct which is cramped in a really confined crawl space got broken, so my house was getting almost no cool flow, everything was leaking into my crawl space. After a tremendous frustration trying to find someone willing to come and go inside the crawl space I was able to find Cory. He is a big tall guy and he right away told me that over the phone that going into the crawl space for him was not going to be easy, so amazingly gave me references about other contractors with possible short guys that could fit into the confined space. I was not able to find that short guy so Cory squeezed me on a busy Thursday for him, stepped in and went into the crawl space and assessed the situation. He is indeed a tall guy and I thought he was not going to fit at all but he did not hesitate.
We ended up cutting a small hole in the floor to access the broken flexible duct and fixed it with the minimum effort and cost savings.
Very next day my house was able to keep 70C when outside was 100C.
After 2 weeks of complete cool summer happiness, last night my A/C/furnace panel stopped working and the house is worse than a sauna.
So called Cory, busy as always but always answers and guided me through some trouble shooting and where to get some parts to expedite a possible fix since he was super booked these days. It ended up that my control board is fried and the transformer overloaded and failed.
So I need a new control board and Cory has been amazing helping me out om finding this control board and getting my AC working again.
This guy is amazing. technically capable and I would say "customer oriented" but I think it is more than that, it is a person that likes to help people, whether he makes a business or not.
Other big companies charged me by just calling them to make an appointment and they called me the day before to cancel appointments.
For me is tremendously important when a contractor takes the time to explain you with detail and answer dumb questions, so you feel you are getting all the information needed to make a decision and not someone just trying to force you into a business and pick into your wallet.
Cory has shown to be a really kind and patient person that deals perfectly with customers in complicated situations and also complicated and picky/technical'ish customers like me :-).
If you are in need of AC/furnace stuff, give Cory a call, based on my experience, I don't think you will regret it and you may find the AC guy you will stick with forever.
Cory saved us! Our A/C unit had stopped working just days before some 100+ degree weather.
I had a different company come by in the morning who were unable to fix the issue and charged over $400 for the service call. Cory was able to stop by on the same day and had the system up and running in about 30 minutes for $150.
I highly recommend Cory. He went above and beyond in getting my HVAC unit repaired. He drove during the hazardous winter weather to get my unit fixed. He also took time to explain the issue.
Cory helped us out immensely in the recent heat dome wave in Portland. our A/C blew out; we called Cory and he responded promptly by providing the part needed and was flexible to provide the part at a location close to our place. Though he was booked out to actually do the fix, he provided us the part and the directions so that we could get the unit back up and running. He'll be the first to call the next time we have any HVAC issue.
The technician who came to my home told me I had a diagnosis of a cracked heat exchanger.. He freely acknowledged he did not open up to do an actual visual inspection on the unit. He said it was because the flames were showing oranwe're showing Orange. Another contractor came and told me the Orange was caused by dirty burners in crossover tubes. He told me my furnace was a safety hazard and had to turn it off and I must buy a new heating system.. You wouldn't offer me a replacement part option even though the parts are under the factory warranty I do. He told me that he'd exchange her how to factory recall and I asked for a manufacturer's bulletin. The bulletin he provided stated The furnace needs an additional grounding wire for a lot of models in my model was not one of them.. Dishonest, Deceptive, And clearly is not trained in basic service and maintenance on heating equipment. He clearly only cared about selling me new equipment equipment and not resolving my basic me this thing my basic maintenance problem.
My A/C went down during a heat wave in my area. I called a dozen companies and they were all booked out for a month or more. Cory Tanner came out the next morning. It seemed like it would be an entire A/C system replacement, but turned out to only be a capacitor for the blower motor. He didn't just fix that and call it good though. He finished checking the rest of the system, topped off the refrigerant and was done. It has worked perfectly since. He was honest and only fixed the inexpensive broken item instead of pushing for an A/C system replacement. Great experience!
In the middle of the 1000 year heat wave, my AC decided to quit. Cory took the time to talk me through the diagnostic steps, repair, and told me where to go to find the $15 part I needed. I was able to get my system up and running in time to keep the candles from melting thanks to his expert knowledge and advice. I'm a customer for life. Highly recommended.
Tanner heating and cooling came out immediately to assess the problem with my furnace while other big name HVAC companies played hard-to-get. Mr. Tanner respects the urgency of the my request, and went above and beyond to work with my home warranty company to get a replacement furnace ordered and installed. His workmanship was excellent, and he explained everything very clearly through out the installation. Highly recommend Tanner heating and cooling!
