Hauptman Enterprises

DO NOT use this tradesman. He will take your money and leave the job unfinished. I hired Hauptman Enterprises to replace the AC unit and air handler at my home in July. The owner of HE recommended a heat pump. The job was supposed to take a few days. It’s now December, and the unit does not work correctly. He has given me excuse after excuse and wasted my time. I have had to hire another contractor to finish the job. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in Dutchess County where he already has a C+ rating for failure to respond to a complaint (not mine). Look it up.

Do not hire this company. We hired Bill to replace our entire system as well as a water tank. The main reason for the overhaul was to fix a temperature difference issue between rooms upstairs. The work took months to complete and we kept having issues. First they left the upstairs unit in test mode and spent 2 weeks trying to figure it out. They also installed the outside unit wrong which left it making a horrible noise. It took at least a month before that was fixed. The job isn’t complete yet either. The job was started in March of 2018 and it is now mid September. No filters were put in the a/c units, the wrong filter was put in the water tank, a big hole was left in the downstairs a/c unit, garbage was left all over the place, and there is duct work in the attic that goes no where. I spoke to Bill over a month ago and he said he was coming to bring me filters... haven’t heard since and he won’t pick up the phone or answer texts. Do not use this company, you may or may not get a completed job.

Bill is the best. Arrived on time, finishes quickly, doesn’t leave a mess, quoted prices are fair and honored. Very pleased
