PHS APP Brooklyn Heating & Air

Called to request an HVAC inspection. They said this would be $99. I agreed to an appointment later that evening. The tech texted me saying that he was full that day and would prefer to come the following morning. I agreed.

While the technicians were performing the inspection at my apartment, I got an email and phone call simultaneously from PHS saying that I owed them $600 for HVAC cleaning. I said I never agreed to this and that the inspection visit was still ongoing, and this cost and scope was never mentioned by the people in my apartment. The technicians on site were then contacted by the company and told to leave.

I think get a follow up call from the office of the company saying I need to pay the $600 for services rendered. I tell them that 1) services were not rendered and 2) I did not agree to this cost and scope. He then says "I have a report saying the work was completed and if you do not agree to pay, I will have the techs return to your apartment and destroy your HVAC units!"

They then hounded me all day via phone trying to get me to pay $150 for the one unit that was inspected, since they needed to pay the tech that went there. I eventually agreed to be done with them, since the calls were nonstop and threatening in nature. They agreed to refund my initial $99 after a very long standoff on the phone.

Long story short: do not use them, they are at best a gig economy booker of local techs and don't have a good handle on what kind of work is being done on site and are unfriendly and unreasonable.

Phs app brooklyn was very pleased with the consultation, purchase, and service he received. They assisted me in deciding on energy-efficient, low-cost equipment for my home and showed me how to apply for rebates. I finished the work a while ago, so I've had time to put the tools to use. Very pleased with the entire process, fair price, and high quality work.

They charged $199 for an evaluation fee for a plumber and HVAC technician to come evaluate two separate problems. The plumbing problem was extremely minor. I needed two fill valves replaced in two toilets. I even informed the PHS App operator and the technician that that is what was needed before the evaluation. The plumber arrived (without any fill valve replacements) and diagnosed the toilet problems the same way I had. He then quoted me $475 to replace the two fill valves. It's approximately 30 minutes of labor and $25 in parts. My guess is that the reason the quote was so expensive is because PHS App inexplicably sent a plumber from over an hour away. So his quote probably included 2+ hours of round trip travel on top of the labor and parts. Needless to say, I rejected the quote and will no be using PHS App.

We have a commercial warehouse that has heaters mounted toward the ceiling. Two of the four heaters were not working. Tech from PHS APP Brooklyn Heating & Air came out and did a great job getting our furnaces up and running. He displayed professionalism, attention to detail and was very kind and courteous! I would highly recommend.

Late one night after a party, my brother and I were about to head home and found the car key missing. We asked a friend to find PHS APP Brooklyn. He was able to locate one, and the technician they sent was knowledgeable and worked quickly. Before long, we had a spare key and were on our way.

An outstanding business with excellent prices and high quality service. They promptly fixed my two central units which failed in the New York cold. The owner is professional, friendly, and highly skilled. Now my house is back down to the 60's when it was in the 90's yesterday. Highly recommended.
