The technician that came to my house was Jay Lopez, he was the most professional and informative technician I've ever had at my house. He was straight forward with what he was going to do and explained why he was doing it. He taught me a lot about the furnace I have in my house, my wife was very comfortable with him in our home while I was at work on his first visit. I will be using them from now on. Thank you Jay

I used them for the a spring changeover at my new place. They were very responsive in scheduling me. Jay made sure that I knew the current state of my system and what issues to be on the look out for. (I experienced no pressure or up sell.)

Overall it was a very good experience and I plan on using them again in the future.

Jay came out to fix my swamp cooler. It was worse for ware than I anticipated, but Jay was a champ and spent all day to get it up and running. I appreciated the time he spent explaining all the necessary fixes and costs.

I used them for an boiler startup and everything was fine. Then a month later I called back because my boiler went out. I was told a technician would call me back. I didn't hear back from them so the next day I called again and didn't get an answer, then called back a dozen times and never returned my calls or messages and even Facebook messages. I've been without heat for 2 weeks now. Eventually I left a bad review on Facebook and THAT was what they finally responded to, and their response blamed me for not having a service contract with them. Don't bother because they will not treat you like a priority.

Called them on a Sunday to check out a forced hot air system and the technician replaced a AC to 24V DC transformer and a safety switch. Diagnosis was a bad gas valve priced at $600 which you can get on Amazon for around $85. Constantly trying to upsell service, replace furnace etc.
Problem turned out to be a bad 24V connection to the gas valve and once contact was cleaned the furnace works fine. Do not use this company as they are not competent or ethical.

Over-priced, technically incompetent and resulted in my having to hire another plumber. First, the technician (Julian) tried to up-charge me. Quoted $3,700 to replace a water heater. Got him down to $2,700 which was still over-priced. Estimate did not include attached plumbing which was disintegrating. Julian took 7-hours (with a helper) to install the new water heater. It was connected to the old plumbing which resulted in multiple leaks at elbows. Finished work had multiple code violations including missing straps and unterminated piping. Hired another contractor to fix leaks which meant emptying the new water heater and disconnecting piping, essentially re-installing the water heater. Strange invoices include private comments from the owner to Julian which mentions "prizes" for up-selling. Filed a complaint with CID. I wouldn't be surprised if Polar Heat is not licensed.
