Before settling on a company to replace my ac unit I called 17 different companies. By far, Prism, was the most professional. I highly recommend them, Conrad was my tech and he did amazing work, along with explained things in a simple way. I felt informed the entire time. Reasonably priced. Very responsive.

I read the neg. review and I think that this person is cooking up a story because I dealt with both dan and Conrad for years never had one problem. When I call they return my call within 24 hrs that’s the normal return call for anyone in business. I would recommend them to any one who’s needs a/c or heating work

My wife was given the name of Dan Buckler of Prism heating and cooling by a co-worker, as we were having a few issues with our heating system in our home. My mother in law also had a problem with her gas heating unit as well, so I called Dan to ask for his assistance. I'm glad I did.
After speaking with him quite briefly, he made an appointment with us to come up and look at both of our furnaces. My mother in laws furnace was recently diagnosed as having a cracked heat exchanger in the unit by another heating and cooling contractor, but since I felt that this explanation did not match the symptoms of what was happening with the furnace, I wanted a second opinion. Again, I'm glad I did make that contact, as it turned out to be truly a great experience.
Dan and his associate Conrad came out to this house and looked over my mother in laws furnace. After a few minutes, they surmised that the unit was in fine working order, and the assumption or claim made by the other HVAC contractor was incorrect, or at best a mistake. He found no evidence of any issues with the heat exchanger, and felt the only issue this unit had was to give it a full maintenance and cleaning service, which included changing out the existing air filter, and replacing a 50 year old shut off valve with a new one that would bring it up to today's code requirements. I agreed, as I myself thought it only needed minor servicing.
Dan and Conrad explained that there was no reason to spend $3000 on a new heating system, when they found no issues related to, or showing any signs of a cracked heat exchanger in the furnace. Dan said he would provide a required maintenance service, and safety valve replacement next week, and ensure that the unit would be ready for this upcoming winter season. The cost associated with this service would be next to nothing by comparison to a new full replacement of then heating system unit. My 84 year old mother in law was very happy that not only was there no safety issue with the heater, but the cost to repair was so much more affordable.
Next on the list was to look at my heating system in my home. The guys came over to my home, opened up the access panels to the heater, and within 5 minutes figured out that there, again, was nothing wrong with my heating unit in my home. All that was wrong with the unit was that a wire had come loose on the blower motor, causing a fault code to the computer, telling the unit to shut itself off during heating cycles. They removed the plug, cleaned and tightened the connections, and replaced it. I paid them for their service call, and I haven't had any issue with the unit since.
Dan and Conrad could have sold me a new furnace. They could have sold my mother in law a new furnace as well, simply by confirming the previous contractors incorrect diagnosis of the problem, but in both cases, They were honest with us, and only wanted to provide us the service for what we needed. They wanted to make sure that we were treated fairly, and that's exactly what he did.
If there was a way to give him 10 stars, I would have.

We live in Morris County New Jersey. Wanted to switch over from oil to gas when gas lines were put on our block. Not knowing who to call, we were given Dan Buckler's name. He came up from the shore and did the job for us. After getting paid $8,200. he did the job and after that could never get him to return to our home. That was 6 1/2 years ago. Since then we have had numerous issues with the hot water. We have had to call a number of plumbers to tend to it. Everyone of them told us the furnace was not put in correctly. Finally, this week the heat went on the coldest night of the year. We called an authorized Navian dealer and he too said the furnace was not put in correctly. It is one week later and we are still waiting for the piece to come in from California to have hot water again. The heat issue was fixed immediately, but we are dealing with no hot water. Once the system was in, Dan did not want to return to Morris County again. He told me he would have to charge me for gas and tolls besides his call if he came back. I understand two other jobs he performed the customers also cannot get him to return their calls. I am very disappointed with his customer service attitude and the fact that Navian will not accept the warranty we have on it since Dan was not an authorized Navian dealer. This job is costing us a lot of money that we
don't have because he did not do the job correctly from the beginning.
