    I had a really great experience from them last year, when they came out and fixed out AC unit. This time, unfortunately, I had a 10am appointment today, and I had to call into them and talk to the woman to find out what was taking so long. She said that they were running behind on an AC job, but I had to contact her. Then I just called her again to see, and still nothing. One big question I have is, why should I be the one calling you to learn that you're running late? I'm sure this is a great company, but there is a huge lack of communication to let your other clients know that you will be running late. And for someone who has to take work off, and make appointment for the day, this does not make me happy. I might have to look elsewhere.

    My wife and I decided to buy a new furnace and we had five different bids. The salesmen that came made a big production out of measuring windows and measuring rooms and presenting spreadsheets and graphs of costs and savings. Enter Hinding, the guy comes in with no sales pitch at all but goes straight to the furnace room and ask what it is we are looking for, high efficiency, double stage or single stage. Now the other guys tried to establish rapport, like hey, I got a truck just like yours, or hey I am a funny guy and let me relate to you with jokes, none of which I had time for, anyway they go right to the top of the line with all the bells and whistles. The guy from Hinding says, I would go with an 80% single stage, they are by far the most reliable and I have more calls on the other type. Hired him right away. He installed the furnace and humidifier and when he was done, you couldn't even tell he was there. The furnace is a lot quieter than the old one and we have peace of mind.
    I would hire them again in a nano second and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new heater or air conditioner.

    This is the best, most honest, heating / cooling service in the twin cities. There is behavior from some companies bordering on criminal extortion going on out there and I almost fell victim to it. They saved me thousands of dollars by doing an honest assessment on what my boiler needed and I'm really grateful for it. Some simple maintenance cost $250 instead of the $4,000-$6,000 job being quoted by a competitor of theirs. My boiler is running like new.

    I am in year 4 of my AC/Furnace and could not be happier with my purchase. From the initial meeting with Brian, to the installation and follow-up service, everything was outstanding. And the cost was reasonable as well. I definitely recommend Hinding Company.

    I LOVE Hinding! Pat from Hinding came over and within 5 minutes (at no charge) figured out what the Bonfe "technician" I had used the day before (via an amazon coupon for a furnace and Air conditioner tune up) couldn't do in 2 hours! The Bonfe guy told me that I'd need to replace not only my furnace (which he was right about), but also our air conditioner as well.

    Our air conditioner had been working perfectly well until the Bonfe guy started looking at it and all of a sudden it just "stopped working" ...he said it would need to be replaced also. I told him that was very odd as it was working perfectly well up to when he started looking at????

    I contacted Hinding and Pat came out for a second bid on the furnace and air conditioner. Within a very short time he identified that the air conditioner had "shorted out" and he got it working within a few minutes (at NO charge!), He recommended that we not replace it at that time (that was 3 years ago and it is still working!)

    Hinding replaced our furnace with a better bid than the Bonfe guy had given me (for the exact same furnace).. Might I add that Bonfe had told me they were giving me a good bid because we had used them for the tune up.

    Anyway, Hinding replaced our furnace 3 years ago and we are very pleased with their work and the furnace they put in...they are experts at what they do. I have recommended them to everyone. I would use them again in a heart beat!

    Had them come today to clean and tune the furnace. Tech seemed to be hurried and skipped some stuff. Basically cleaned the burner. Then asked if I wanted a new coupler which I said yes to. The thermo coupler seemed overpriced...you can get the part as low as 6.00 and he charged me 52!! That's one heck of a markup or a crazy hourly labor rate as it took him about 3 minutes to replace it.

    I asked if he was going to check the boiler pressure which he never really did. I'm absolutely sure my old boiler gauge is off by 10psi (20psi on the gauge and my 30psi pressure release valve opens up). I would've been nice if he had his own pressure gauge to check it but kind of blew me off when I asked and said my gauge was fine....

    Basically cleaned the burner super quick and replaced the coupler (that comes out with the burner anyhow) and was boom gone. Not really that impressed at all.

    While I can't speak for their service, do not buy parts from them as they are outrageously expensive. Also, check your bill to make sure they aren't price gouging you on the parts and additionally charging you expensive labor time. They sold me a filament for $92 that retails for under $20. That transaction made me lose my trust in them.

    Furnace stopped on frigid near zero degree night. I called Hinding at 7:03 AM. I was told they'd have someone out "shortly". At 7:18 AM Pat and Justin arrived.

    They instantly diagnosed the problem and got the furnace running. It's the original 60 year-old furnace and because of its age a worry. Pat also made recommendations for staged parts upgrades short of an entire new furnace.

    Fabulous service!! Humming along now at comfortable 70 degrees.

    I called at 7:15 to have our furnace repaired. It was back up and running by 9 am for a lot less than we thought we would pay. Really happy with this experience!

    I called for an appointment but they were not taking on new clients. I've heard good things from the neighborhood but unfortunately I didn't get an appointment. I appreciate the honesty
