We just had a new geothermal system, steam humidifier, HEPA air cleaner, RFG HALO Air Purification Cell, and thermostat installed in our home by Michigan Energy Services, and we are so happy! Matt was super helpful, very patient and most important— knowledgeable!! ! We had a LOT of questions, this company stood out from their competition in the first place, absolutely because of Matt. As it turned out, the installation team was equally as impressive! Very nice, friendly and helpful & knowledgable —each and every one of them!! Hay Dave, thank YOU so much!!! They showed up when they said they would, installation was a huge job, they worked hard, did a great job, and cleaned up every trace. We are definitely your customers for life— for sure, we recommend this fine company!! They know how to treat a customer and made us feel like it was so important to them that we were completely satisfied with the installation and service they provided for us. What a delightful experience this has been! Thank you to everyone at Michigan Energy Services!!

Michigan Energy Services installed a Hydron Module Geothermal unit and a new heat pump water heater about 1 month ago in my house. Brandon was punctual, knowledgeable and courteous during the consultation and sales part of the process, the install team worked diligently for the entire day and obviously make a great team. The follow up was a pleasure and I will not hesitate to refer them to friends and family. Call Michigan Energy Services first, there is no need to look elsewhere.

Very expensive system to install and very expensive to run. Our neighbors house is larger and not as well insulated we insulated with closed cell foam. Their natural gas bill is significantly less than our geo thermal portion of our electric bill. Not saying that this is a bad company, just that the system does not preform as stated. We would love to sell this furnace and replace with a natural gas fueled furnace. It's 7 years old. Propane as it is currently priced would be less expensive. Incidentally, we keep our thermostat lower than our neighbors.

Rob and Brandon are very friendly and knowledgeable, however the unit they installed is undersized for my house and cannot keep up with heating demands. Anything below 30 degrees and the efficiency drops drastically. I keep the heat set at 68 and on the real cold days my furnace cannot maintain temp and will drop below set temp. Furnace runs on auxiliary heat constantly all day.
They installed a waterfurnace brand which has been low quality. It was Installed in 2006 for twice the cost of my gas furnace estimates. Thought I would have recouped added expense over the years from higher efficiency of the system but that hasn’t been the case. On top of that I have paid over $5000 in repairs. With the extra expenses of the system and repairs a gas furnace would have been the wiser choice as I will never recover that money.
I would not recommend geothermal to anyone.

Michigan Energy Services installed a geothermal system for us in October 2020. The team was very professional, punctual, courteous, and did a great job. The new system is working great!

I had high hopes when meeting with Matt Underwood in mid December of 2018. He sounded very knowledgeable about my Waterfurnace and how to accomplish setting up a zoning system. I was informed that he probably wouldn't be able to give me an estimate before the Christmas holiday, but he would be in touch soon after. I waited patiently for a call about my job, maybe I was a little too patient. I waited until early February to reach out myself. I called and left voicemails that went directly to Matt and called and left messages with Rob Derksen, who assured me that he would have Matt call me when he got back in the office that day, or at the latest, first thing in the morning. Based on my review, I am sure you can guess what happened. NO CALL! I, again, made multiple attempts to get through and finally caught Matt in the office around the 2nd week of February. It was then that I was informed that the job was more complicated than they thought and therefore couldn't do the job for me. The excuse that I was given was that they didn't have the proprietary AID tool to interact with the Waterfurnace. The odd thing is that I asked if they had the tool to do service and routine maintenance and I was told that they did. Matt insisted that the lack of communication was unacceptable and was sorry for not informing me earlier. After cooling off for a day or so I decided to call and forgo the zoning and just improve the duct work and layout. I was able to get a hold of Matt again and he said that shouldn't be a problem and that he would look over his notes and let me know. I made a point to tell him before I ended our conversation to please, no matter what he came up with, to call me and communicate. After a couple weeks I left a message on his voicemail to say if they couldn't accommodate, then fine, but call me and let me know. Here we are over a month later and I still haven't heard anything. Very FRUSTRATED

Matt and the crew from MES installed a solar water heating system that powers our radiant floor and domestic hot water. They made a complex system very straightforward and maintenance free. Love the efficiency!
Highly recommend them.

Provided an estimate for geothermal and conventional HVAC system. The estimator (Matt Underwood) took the time to understand our wants and needs. The estimate he provided arrived quickly, was clear as to the scope of the work, and was competitively priced for high efficiency equipment. If you are in the market for geothermal or for Rheem brand equipment, I highly recommend you call them.

Enjoyed meeting the guys and hearing their proposal for our project. We have some revisions for them to recalculate. Look forward to seeing it built.
