My two AC units broke and Ryan from Gary Powers & Sons came to fix the issue. Ryan was very professional and knowledgeable. Within a short amount of time, he diagnosed the issues. He had replacement parts for one of the unit but for other, Ryan needed to order (as my units are old). Ryan kept me aware about the part delivery and came back promptly when the part came. Overall, Ryan and the staff were friendly, professional, and great to work with. I highly recommend.

Gary Powers & Sons were assigned by American Home Warranty Company to fix our leaking AC. I was nervous at first when reading the reviews but its clear alot of these reviews are based off the interaction with the warranty company and not Gary Powers and Sons direct business practices. It was busy peak season in the middle of a heat wave but they fit us in and got us fixed up quickly. They were professional, courteous, and, knowledgeable. We are new homeowners and they took the time to explain our systems to us and make sure we understood the work they needed to do. They could have just fixed the AC pump but they went above and beyond to fix some drainage piping to ensure the issue wouldn't happen again. We were very thankful for their service and kept their number for work we might need outside of our warranty. Highly Recommend!

I called with an emergency at 5pm on a Friday. Gary answered and had his son Ryan call me right back. Ryan and Greg were at my house right after they finished the service call they had been on! They were friendly, professional, and great to work with. I highly recommend the Powers family. Local, trustworthy, knowledgeable and responsive! I’ll be using their services from now on.

They are excellent! Called them to check on our AC which is not cooling. They were able to fit us into an appointment in 2 days in the peak season. Friendly and professional, fair price. Will definitely call them again when we need to!

My thermostat was not having any power and hence I decided to call AHS. They assigned this company. Technician was rude, unprofessional and not capable to diagnose. He didn't get his tools box and just said that Thermostat is bad. I told him that thermostat is not bad as I tried swapping it with other. Still he kept saying that it is bad. He reported to AHS that customer has abused the system and hence AHS declined to not cover. AHS assigned another vendor (DEMSEY) for second opinion and they were professional, kind and diagnosed and fixed the problem in 30 minutes. Stay away.

Adding Response: I am a business owner myself and anytime I get feedback from my customers, I am first thankful and then see the pattern and coach my employees accordingly. I initially thought that one particular technician is bad but looking at the response anyone can make their own judgement that how un-professional is this company. Their response is full of LIES. LIE#1 Thermostat was NEVER off the wall, in fact technician asked me to to remove the thermostat. LIE#2 I never asked to remove shoes, I only gave my own pair of shoe covering. LIE#3 My house was clean. LIE#4 Removing/replacing filter is no way considered abusing the system. I hope readers can make their own judgement by reading the response from this company. ANYWAY, if other company can fix it in 30 minutes why can't this company not even attempt to diagnose it. Stop spreading the lies and take responsibility for your staff behavior.

One star because I had to give them something. Ryan is not a good person. I understand it's peak season for ACs not working. It's one thing telling they can't handle the job but another to spread rumors about canceling the job order because someone is infected in the house. Maybe he is infected and doesn't want to expose himself hence spreading rumors about the customers. Please be aware of him and try not to call this business.

Update after reading the owner's response: - I am not surprised you guys can lie. I never mentioned to Ryan about anyone being sick. in fact all I told him was to check on my tenants and call back. You made it difficult by reporting false information to find another vendor to get the work done and you think you are being harassed and had to complain to the police? Please be my guest and go ahead do it again. You shouldn't be in service business when you can't provide proper service and lie on top of that.

Gary Powers and Sons went out of their way to fit me into an appointment. Ryan came out on an emergency call and was able to diagnose the problem with my boiler quickly. He fixed the problem, explained everything to me, and was very curious. He even followed up afterwards to check up on the situation. I highly recommend this company.

Both Ryan and his dad are honest and know what they are doing. Quality work and great follow-up.
They have done two warranty jobs for me. They are down to earth and make you feel like family. Will use them again if needed and will recommend to all my friends.

Because I can't post without choosing a star I gave 1. Over a month ago American Home Shield sent out Power's to look at our second level A/C. They said the condensor and the handler needed to be replaced. The following week they were out to look at our 1st floor zone. They charged us $250 cash for freon, The techs CC reader wasn't working. We knew we would have to pay something but we were given no reciept or invoice. We were also told the fan was going in the wrong direction on the condensor and we needed to get an electrician to fix it. We told them they were responsible for the repair and needed call AHS to get the electrician. That's the last we saw of them. We made several phone calls and have had no reponse. The tickets on our AHS said completed. Yesterday I requested AHS to reassign us to another company. They did!

Totally unprofessional. I was referred by AHS for my cooling unit which is fully covered under warranty, but the technician wanted $300 upfront cash before even starting and no other form of payment. When I asked for receipt, he conveniently ran out of receipts in receipt book. Just gave me a plan yellow paper w/ $300. CHEAT. Don't bother calling them
