If I could leave no stars I would. I called this company a while back and they came out and help me me and was pretty good with their response time. Today I called them because I am having an issue and I was told because I am not a customer They cannot help me. Mind you, they have already come to my house his house once before Making me a customer of theirs. I explained to the guy it is 54゚ in my house and I have 3 children, And today is Friday and he said They cannot come out today because I because I am not a customer and the earliest they can come out is Friday. He then said that is what I get for using a discount oil company and I am at their mercy. I told him how messed up it was with what he just said to me and told him I would never be calling him again
This afternoon, I realized that the first floor heating zone of my home was not working. After calling the call service for LH&C, I quickly received a call-back from a technician.
Moments after we began to speak, I could tell that he was not interested in coming to my home to address my problem (Sunday at 4 PM). After a few questions, he diagnosed my problem as "most likely" a frozen pipe and told me to call my heating oil supplier. Wow!
What responsive Emergency "Service!"
They just lost a customer.
I called another local company and will have a technician at my home by 7 PM.
Thanks, Ludlow Heating! You have steered me towards a more responsive oil burner service provider.
Update: 4-3-22. My boiler was shot and just had a new one installed by my new oil burner provider.
I called today to inquire what their price per gallon is, they refused to tell me and said they would not disclose it without me first being a customer. What kind of scam is this? I would never do business with a company that hides their prices, seems very shady. Not to mention the not so friendly woman who answered the phone. I will be getting my oil elsewhere!
They came to the house in 10 min notice for a cleaning and small repair ,left me with out hot water and water leaking from all over boiler. A mess in my basement. I call them back and they didn't take no responsibility at all.
3 years ago they were terrific. This week however, they cancelled me with 1 hour notice and never offered to rebook. At least offer a different day and time rather than leave me stranded. Terribly disappointed.
Karen told me that a driver would be at me home to deliver oil at noon on Friday and two hours later I'm still waiting. When I called, she said that she told me after noon, which she definitely did not! Then told me I have to wait until Monday. She was extremely rude. Their prices were high, I was only using them because they were local. I plan on taking my business elsewhere.
Poor customer service Womens who answers phones claims to be owner abs is extremely rude to you over phone. Sometimes you get a new person who isn't fully trained so when your trying to talk to them they are not listening someone else in the background who feels it's more important to listen to them at the very moment the customer is try I Nguyen to be served.
I've been using this company since I moved back to the area in 2008. Their technicians are prompt and friendly, their delivery is always on point, and customer service when you call is awesome. I have never considered changing companies, and won't as long as Ludlow Heating & Cooling it's around!
They saved me the cost of a service call and repair by telling me over the phone what I could try first to fix my mini split. Another company spent hours trying to fix it, didn’t know how to read the troubleshooting code on the unit, was getting walked through it all over the phone with another company, and ended up telling me it was likely the mother board. Ludlow Heating and Cooling said to try shutting it down at the circuit breaker, waiting 15 minutes, and restarting. It’s worked fine ever since. They deliver oil when they say they’re going to. Last time, the driver delivered more than I had requested. So, the woman called from the office to let me know and said I could just pay for what I ordered and I’d have a balance, but could pay that any time. This is the 4th heating company I’ve had since I moved here and so far, so good!
