My business (and family) has relied on A Hohmann & Co. for just under a decade to install and maintain our various HVAC systems. I feel that the owners of this company are the best in the industry and their service crew is knowledgable, professional and efficient. I highly recommend A Hohmann & Co to anyone that needs competent and reliable HVAC and/or oil delivery sevice and would give them 10 stars if I could!

We hired this company to service our split system (the main source of heat for our home) and they ghosted us following the initial assessment -- leaving our family without heat in December.

We scheduled an appointment 10 days in advance (the earliest availability) and received the technicians (though we had to call several times to confirm that they would come at all). The technicians told us to expect a quote shortly which would include repairs to the system needed for it to function. We gave it a week and started calling every few days since. It's three weeks later -- 16 degrees outside with snow this morning -- and we can't get a callback. We have no heat in 66% of our home.

Our experience mirrors that of the other reviewers. We hired Hohmann's on a recommendation from an acquaintance but should have taken the reviews to heart. Would urge others to hire elsewhere -- as we are now.

Have been using them since they were McIntyre Oil. Always good service. Just know that they close between 3:30 and 4:00pm, not at 4:00pm. So if you need oil better call in the morning around 9am.

We have Hohmann’s as our oil company for quite a few years . They service our heating system & plumbing. We have NEVER had any problems with them. Their employees are ALWAYS friendly & nice and they come out to our house for whatever has to be serviced Quickly. We had a leak in our water heater & it was fixed immediately and then we asked him changed our kitchen faucet and he did without any trouble. THANK YOU RYAN for the work you did!!

Used this company for AC install. Exceptional service and attention to detail. They were very attentive to retrofitting the system and keeping the aesthetic of the piping to a minimum. Great company to work with

Had a plumber come by to fix a small leak from my EcoFlush toilet. He came by, gave me a quote and told me he had ordered the part he needed from the manufacturer. He told me the part should take a week then he will call and set a time to install it. It’s been 5 weeks. I have called the company 4 separate times, each a week apart, and gotten the same response from the customer service girl…”ok I’m sorry I’ll reach out to the plumber who did the job and have them get back to you” but they never get back. I’ve been without a toilet for 5 weeks and feel bad going elsewhere because the guy came and quoted and ordered the part. But I no longer feel bad, I will be going elsewhere. Very unprofessional when all I needed was a simple leak repair on a toilet.

I had a mediocre experience at best with A Hohmann company during my first encounter last week. I had never used Oil heat prior so when asking questions the representative was annoyed, rude and condescending.

I had no idea my oil tank was completely empty but when I called initially the rep told me she had to speak directly to my landlord w/o looking up my account at all. This created a delay in service. By the time my landlord spoke to someone they determined it would be a $200 emergency fee since it was a weekend.

We agreed to schedule a Monday delivery but no one showed up to deliver; when I called to follow up it turns out no one saved my account information or scheduled the Monday delivery.

And after agreeing to a 100 gallon and prime the person delivering the oil was never instructed to prime the line. There was no accountability; however the rep blamed me and said either I did not say it or the person that coordinated delivery didn't hear it. Even though they suggested what I would need since it was my first ever oil refill.

I do not recommend this company to anyone. There prices are not competitive, the customer service is awful and I used them at the recommendation of my landlord who has a personal relationship with their team.

Horrible. My condo management team recommended them. They were shockingly unresponsive after they agreed to replace my leaky hot water tank. I rarely write bad reviews, because I really try to work things out with people. In fact I even reached out them to do so and they ignored me. Unfortunately, I do feel strongly about calling them out on this one. And I will probably give a shout out to all the other tenants in my building. They lost a lot of business because we have a 200+ units and all of the original hot water heaters are 15 years old. But I doubt my management team will continue to recommend them.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. I recently hired Hohmann to perform annual service on a boiler at a rental unit in Dorchester. The technician managed to completely break the boiler's pilot light assembly and then left the job incomplete. No attempt was made to contact myself or the tenant, and no attempt was made to repair the unit. This resulted in the tenant being without heat for a period of time in December. I then had to hire another plumber to fix the damage caused by the Hohmann team, as Hohmann customer service refused to send anyone out to fix their own mistake.

TLDR: Hohmann is unprofessional and they will break your stuff - Do not hire.

DO NOT ever use this company. Horrendous customer service. We got an invoice for the service that the service person said free of charge and tried to fix it by calling the customer service. Ashley was the name of the customer rep and she said that she will check the situation and will get back to me a month ago. And obviously she did not follow up. After a month I got the exact same invoice again without any explanation and called her again. When I told her that we were told that we did not need to pay for the service (it was basically just turning off a valve in the AC unit - and they service our condo building anyway), she said that he shouldn't have said that but we are still obligated to pay $175. And she hung up on me. And when I tried to call her again, she repeated that they will send this case to a collector... and hung up again. It seems like a lot of people who's complaining have experienced similar situation with the customer rep. Really upsetting and frustrating!!!!!!!!
