I contacted Bob Baker's for a second opinion after another company had recommended furnace replacement when my furnace safety switch tripped.

The Bob Baker's technician diagnosed the cause as an air flow issue from a faulty wheel & motor and lack of maintenance. They provided a quote for a repair with deep cleaning option for my furnace that was significantly less than the first company I had contacted. Bob Baker's inspected and verified the heat exchanger was not cracked as the first company had assessed without visual inspection.

Due to the (12 yr old) age of my existing lower quality Nordyne furnace, and the uncertainty of its remaining lifespan, I also requested a quote for total HVAC system replacement to inform my decision. John spent a considerable amount of time answering our questions and explaining Carrier system specs and features for different efficiency rated products.

Bob Baker's installed the new furnace and AC components as scheduled about a week later. We also had new custom ductwork for our older Bowie Levitt colonial and humidifier additions installed to improve the air flow and comfort level in our home.

They did a great job in a very limited space near the furnace area in our home. The work was completed as expected and without complications in about 10 hours with professional results. My experience with everyone from this company was positive and I would recommend them for HVAC work.

In addition to the HVAC installation at a good price, I especially appreciated their priority on customer service. I felt they provided trustworthy information and solutions without pushing unnecessary repairs or replacements.

I choose this company because their office is located in Prince George's County and is highly rated by Consumer Checkbook Magazine.

My home is in the K section of Bowie and was built is in 1963 and i bought the home in 2000 the current outdated system (which was too small for the square footage of the home) was being repaired by Bob Bakers every winter and every Summer with something different each time. That system was not efficient at all. The air barely made it to the master bed room and was very noisy. I reluctantly called on Bob Baker but this time it was for a quote for replacing/upgrading both the furnace and the A/C system and upgraded to a WiFi thermostat and also had them quote me to add new duct work into a room that used to be a garage with a damper option so i can control the air flow. John came out and was awesome and spent time asking me all the right questions about me and how i like to heat and cool my home. At that time, Carrier was offering a fantastic deal with 36 months 0% APR. i was also told that i could be eligible for Washington gas rebate if up to $450.00 I felt zero pressure and took about 3 days to think it over and without hesitation i called John back and the deal was done. the back office called me the next morning and put me first in line with their install team because it was full system replacement. Those guys were incredible i was thinking it would take 2-3 days for the job to be completed. To my surprise they had new system up and running in one day. The job was neat and clean and i am a very satisfied and will never use any one else. The back office of BOB BAKERS even registered my system to assure accurate warranty coverage. oh i got a $400 Washington Gas rebate gift card after about 5 weeks.

Have used Bob Baker twice for whole-house HVAC replacement, once in Upper Marlboro, and again in Davidsonville. Big jobs, not cheap, but excellent work, quality crews. Very happy to give my highest recommendation.
