I live in an apartment building and my AC stopped working in so I went to the front desk to ask for recommendations figuring I would get a few local business familiar with my building's systems. The other 2 had some scheduling issues, but Davis & Davis was available that day. They said on the phone $90 for the first 30 minutes and something like $40 for every so 15 min after. Fine, it's hot out, plz fix or give me the bad news.

Since masks are currently required indoor public areas in the county I was surprised when the guy showed up at my door (~10:35) after checking in the lobby (10:30 based on the call from the lady at the desk) and getting on the elevator up without one. Ok not a huge deal. First thing he does is ask to use the bathroom. Not great but, ok it happens. I did not know he was going to take a dump. Then, while basically silent, he proceeds to do a decent job (as far as I know) providing a temporary workaround/fix for the AC. He asks where the nearest vent is so he can measure the airflow. The easiest one to reach is in the bathroom. I get a step stool for him. A minute later the door to the bathroom closes and he takes another dump (my apartment ain't big). He comes out and pulls out an invoice for 10:15 - 11:15 for $175 ($90 then 2 x $40). I didn't even realize he didn't arrive until 10:30 until after he was gone. So I now have to contemplate whether or not to argue about the 15 minutes/$40 that this guy spent pooping twice in my home. At this point I'm kind of mad purely on principle but it's hard to argue with a quiet stranger in my house about $40. Plus it's temporarily fixed. I was more mad later after realizing I'd been charged for an extra $40/15 min, during which I guess he spent driving to my apartment.

Got a call the next day from someone else at Davis&Davis telling me they don't know how to fix the type of HVAC in my apartment and they have had the address written down since 2015 as Do Not Schedule. Cherry on top, beautiful.

TLDR: Paid $90 to get AC temporarily fixed. Paid an additional $40 for someone to come to my apartment and poop twice + an extra $40 because why not, before being told they don't even know how to fix my AC.

Last week we had a small leak around our furnace and wasn’t sure what to do. We called Davis and Davis and they were able to send somebody that day to look at it. We were surprised they could fix it in under 30 minutes. Great company, will use them again in the future

Had a condensate pump replaced on my BRYANT Heating system. It leaked within weeks of replacement. Had a second visit by another Technician who adjusted the condensate line because it had poor connection and made it more secure. After he left It leaked worse than the first time i reported the issue.
I WAS VERY RELUCTANT TO GO WITH A BUSINESS THAT WAS NOT BBB ACCREDITED. THIS ONE WAS......!

My mother has been a contract customer with Davis and Davis for many years; they installed her current furnace and AC and do yearly maintenance. This year, although they did their maintenance in July, the furnace didn't work when she turned it on in September. They came out to "fix" it. It still didn't work. They came out again in the middle of October to "fix" it. It still didn't work. After repeated calls and requests for emergency service, I was told to try turning it off and back on again, and that maybe they'd send someone out some time. My mother is 95 years old and it is cold out. I don't know if they are incompetent or simply don't care, but they don't seem to be able to make the equipment they installed work. Time to find another company.

I've been a customer since 1993 in two different homes. They've always treated me right, never recommended anything that was not in my best interest, always kept the equipment in top condition. My units lasted longer than expected, but when they did give out, Davis & Davis offered the best deals on replacements. In my experience, they do exactly what they say they will do. The staff is professional, and a deal's a deal. You cannot do better.

We had a dying furnace this winter, and our normal hvac provider couldn't come out for a couple of days; so we looked for another company in our area. Davis and Davis sent someone out that same day, and the technician discussed our options on repairs or a new furnace. We opted for the new unit, and had it in and running the next day! My family and I definitely recommend them!

We have been buying a service contract from Davis & Davis for 8 yrs to service a 16 yr old HVAC system. The same Service Tech has reviewed our system each Spring & Fall : Ivan kept our old system running. So when it was time to replace, we got several estimates, but were well taken care of by the high quality people at Davis. They are dependable & up to date on their technology. Davis & Davis installed a beautiful Lennox system & we know they are a sure bet on our home temperature systems!

For years, Dennis from Davis & Davis has been inspecting my air conditioner and gas furnace. He warned me that the furnace was aging and may need to be replaced some time in the very-near future. The very-near future arrived several weeks ago. Today, I have a new a.c.unit and furnace thanks to Michael and 2 gentlemen who worked with him. Great team of technicians!

At the end of the summer our very old AC system stopped working. Davis & Davis promptly sent Tom to our house and saved the day! It was sweltering hot that day and Tom worked very quickly to get it working again and was also so friendly to our dog, too. Thank you!

My older furnace was out of warranty. I called on a cold, busy day. Service manager (Kevin) spent 20 mins on the phone with me troubleshooting, and then sent an expert tech (Craig) the same afternoon. I appreciate that they squeezed me in. I wouldn't use anyone else. Thank you!!
