Affordable Air

This is the 2nd time I've used Affordable Air. Last year they were out in 30 min of my call and had my unit fixed. This time we needed a new unit. I called and within a hour they were here and had my new unit installed and running perfectly. I highly recommend this company!!

The initial quote visit was incredible. They came next day, bright and early and on time. We were giving the best quote yet! Financing was quick and easy. On Installation day, they arrived at the exact time they said they would, already had tools in hand stepping out of their truck, and ready to work on the dismantling the old system. Within 30 minutes they were already starting putting in the new system. This part took a while, as expected. But once everything was good to go. Bam! Cold air, near silent machine, one happy customer! All before lunch. Thank you! We'll be seeing you in the spring for maintenance!

This is not my choice for heating and A/C repair, but that of my Home Warranty company. They respond promptly and did the minimum repair to get the system up quickly. I have an issue with over 1,300% mark up on parts. The invoice reflected a charge of $123.00 for a contactor. The identical branded part is $9.38 at a local home store. If you're alright with price gouging, these are your guys.

After extended conversations with the owner, I have removed a photo of the state of the condensor upon completion of the service call. It was embarrasing. He offered to come back and clean it. I had already done so. He explained that pricing mark up was to cover the incedentals in providing service such as fuel, tools, phone, etc. I suggested he increase his base price per call instead of unreasonable part mark up. Based on this business plan, if the customer doesn't need parts, the company will lose money.

My initial comment in this review was that this company is the choice of my home warranty company. I have done business with another HVAC company for decades. I pay a premium price, but get premium service.

Please understand my rating scale. Everybody starts with 3 stars for meeting expectations. Anything less gets a lower rating, but exceeding expectations gets a better rating.

Again, Affordable Air responded quickly, was friendly, and repaired the immediate issue. Nothing more, nothing less. They met expectations. The bottom line on pricing is irrelevent to me because of a set service fee I pay to my Home Warranty company per claim after having paid for a one year contract. Having seen the confusing service provider invoice this time, I have an issue with a $10 part costing $123 on paper and refuse to recognize any justification for it.

Very professional and knowledgeable. Will continue to use for my HVAC needs.

This is the contracted company for American Home Shield, much to my dismay, and they are not reliable or competent. You can never talk to a person. I have to leave messages when I try to call. Most reputable companies have a receptionist or at least an answering service pick up their calls but apparently this company has neither. They've been to my home in winter and now summer each time with multiple visits to repair a problem. Each time they come out they repair one issue only to have something else go wrong in a week or two. They usually send young inexperienced workers first and after they've unsuccessfully attempted repairs only then will they send someone older to work the repair call. If I didn't have American Home Shield, I'd NEVER call this company because they'll never get the job done with just one call. One star for them is too generous. They deserve NONE!!

Fast, great service. Match prices and are cheaper than anybody. Available and reliable good people. Highly recommend.
