Got here fast. Fixed the unit fast. Polite and skilled service. The owner worked on the system and managed to smile even though it was a very hot morning and an emergency call. We were in a bind and he was very helpful. Reasonable price for service.
After having another company come out and tell us we needed to replace our entire furnace we thought it best to get a second opinion. Pullen came out and fixed the problems that past techs had caused and informed us that our furnace had plenty of life left in it. The tech Josh went above and beyond, I would highly recommend Pullen AC to anyone.
I called Pullen to diagnose a loud rattle in my HVAC system. Sam was very courteous and knowledgeable and quickly identified the problem. He gave me an honest assessment of the system and helped me determine a plan of action for repair and eventual replacement that fit within my budget at the time. I highly recommend Pullen, as does my father, who is a picky customer! Five star service and staff.
Company is easy to work with. Scheduling is easy and they can be flexible to your needs. Systems work great and are installed correctly the first time. The men they have installing equipment are extremely nice and courteous. Happy to answer any questions you might have. David and his team are going to be the first people I call if I need A/C work done on the property again! Thanks y'all!
Pullen installed our HVAC unit in 2011 and was our main service provider ever since. Finally had to cut all ties with them because it just seemed like we were getting ripped off at every turn. They came out last June because our AC went out during the first exceptionally hot week of the summer. They came out and said the capacitor was bad and needed changing, $249. Well guess what, our AC still didn't work. They came back and determined the system needed recharging with coolant and that there may be a potential leak. They sold us on renewing the service program they offer that provides 2 yearly maintenance visits along with discounts on supplies, etc. We paid $195 for the coolant and 2 pre-payments of $119.70 for the upcoming visits. As you can see this tab is getting pretty large already. They had to come back a THIRD time to test for leaks where it was discovered that the "Schrader core in liquid line service valve had slow leak" (this is right from the invoice, which is another story all together) and "suction service valve core was also loose and was leaking". The leaks were finally repaired and the AC was back online after another payment of $164. That tallies up to $608, not including the money paid in advance for the service program enrollment. I will say I do believe they waived some of the service fees because of the repeat visits, but that's hardly enough to make up for not having AC in the dead of summer for an extended period of time. If I call someone to fix something, I don't want them to need three tries to be successful. In December a gentleman came to perform a routine maintenance check on the heating system. He came on 12/18 and said everything looked fine. The invoice even says "System Checked OK". We left town for a week and came back to discover our heater was not working and we spent the night in a 55 degree house that night. The gentleman returned and determined that the blowing motor had failed and needed to be replaced. We asked why that was not discovered during the routine maintenance check and were told that that is not something they check for. That was the last straw. We asked to cancel our enrollment in the service program and that we be refunded the other pre-payment of $119.70. They were nice enough to oblige and sent us a check. We later learned from the gentleman we hired to fix the blowing motor that 1. the system's return air chamber is not big enough to accommodate a unit that size and the unit was installed in a way that left it starving for air and destined to have lots of issues and 2. that our system was never registered with the manufacturer which cost us an additional 2 years worth of warranty. Had the unit been registered it would still have been under warranty and the blowing motor would have been covered and replaced at no charge. In addition to all this, even something as simple as providing invoices was seemingly difficult for Pullen to execute. We were never left with an invoice after these visits and were told that they would be emailed. Months went by and even after multiple requests we still never received any invoices for these most recent visits. Finally, we called the office and requested the invoices be emailed to us from there as opposed to the technicians' tablets. We did eventually receive the invoices, but it was not without a certain level of complication. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
I am a builder of 16 years and started using Pullen Ac about 4 years ago. They are professional and knowledgeable. I first met them when they came to fix another local Ac contractor's mess. The owner Eric is fair and stands behind his work. I won't use anyone else on my homes that range from 600K to 1.6 million. I only wish I met them earlier!
Recently had my entire system replaced (including ducts). Consultant did a thorough job sizing my house for the proper unit. Questions were answered promptly in person and over email. Install team was courteous and performed the job with a high level of quality (from what I can tell looking in the attic and how all the news ducts were run). Overall, very pleased.
In my opinion, this should not happen from a top HVAC company in the Deep South:
For starters, the installation of the unit in the attic was wired incorrectly. The HVAC unit was wired to a breaker not rated for the Amperage.
Next, the A/C unit was full of mold and had to be cleaned out with duct work replaced. (In my opinion, not sure if this is attributable to Pullen. Although it is their unit and their tonnage recommendation).
NOW!!! Yes, there is more. The HVAC unit in the Attic is blowing the fuse every time it tries to engage. Heat or A/C. This unit was purchased new August 2015.
Service Tech gave us time slot of Early AM or Last Call on Friday. Needless to say the Tech did not show for either time slots or answer his phone. The dispatcher did not locate the tech or send a different one out. The HVAC system is not going to be repaired over the weekend. We are cancelling a party scheduled for this weekend due to not being able to provide a climate controlled house.
Thanks Pullen. Your service and products really shine through on this one.
I called in a service job on my ac that had been cooling less and less over the last couple summers. They sent out some young guy who looked like he had barely been out of trade school. He hosed some grass off my compressor, told me not to use allergen filters because they inhibit airflow and told me my ac unit was too small for the house. It wasn't too small a couple years earlier. He also said there were no freon leaks, which was my first guess as to the problem. When my air continued to suffer, I called another company who found/replaced a rusted out leaky filter and refilled the freon. I wouldn't bother with a company that can't even take the time to diagnose a freon leak.

Great service! AC went out, and it was 90 inside. They came out and repaired after hours on a weekend. Been a customer for decades.
