Havens Heating and Cooling

We have used Havens Heating and Cooling for a few years and we have always had great service. Jerry is very knowledgeable and he explains everything in a way that it is easy to understand. He is great at returning calls and he shows up on time. He is also honest and fair. He goes above and beyond to provide great service.

Jerry is courteous, honest, and cares about his customers. When he priced a new HVAC system for our home he spent a long time explaining how the units work and what we need for our specific home. He has always answered our calls and works with great effort and integrity!

Jerry Havens did a great job on our system. We have a two story house and we couldn't cool the upstairs with our contractor grade system. We were supplementing with a portable unit and it was still uncomfortable on hot days. We had multiple estimates and everyone else recommended putting in two units. Jerry recommended zoning and a single unit with a variable speed compressor and fan to control humidity. He explained the science behind his reasoning and it made sense to us. We couldn't be happier with the result and the 30 percent savings on our summer electric bills. Maybe my wife could be happier because now she says is freezing all the time in the house :).

We have always been happy with the quality work, the quick response and pricing of the services each time we have needed assistance with our heating and AC. We have had two AC units installed with Havens in two different houses and have been happy both times.

Jerry has taken care of us the last couple of years and is very honest and caring. During this recent cold snap he came quick and had our heat working in 24hrs of diagnosing ordering part and installation. He backs his work up also!

Jerry provided great customer service. He was very knowledgeable about the needed and showed up on time and followed up as indicated. He even went above and beyond to make sure our project was complete even after our bill was paid. We look forward to working with Havens in the future.

I worked in Jerry’s office for nearly two years and I have been in the HVAC industry for nearly 15. It is a rare occurrence to find someone who operates with such integrity and honesty. He operated daily with only the customers best interest at heart and went above and beyond to ensure they were treated as if they were family. I was surprised to learn that several would simply leave their house key so Jerry could work even, when they weren’t home. He is a trusted member of this community and I’d have no one else work on my HVAC unit. Thank you Jerry!

There are many times when you trade quality and speed for the friendliness that a local provider offers. However, Mr. Havens, his family, and their company offer both to our community and their customers. They are fast, reliable, reasonably-priced and trust-worthy. Their service is in the spirit of "get to," instead of "have to," -- Plus, they are our "neighbors." They live and work in the community. I encourage you to support this locally owned business for all your Heating and Cooling needs. Me and my family will only trust Havens for our Heating and Cooling.

BEWARE - Biggest issue with Havens is the lack of honesty and professional ethics. Jerry Havens replaced the fan motor on our Lennox furnace and charged us twice the going rate (almost a $1000). He would not give us a detailed bill (labor, parts, etc.). We quoted through Prudential the next day, and asked him for a detailed invoice. We demanded that he refund the excessive charges..... Realizing that we were onto him, he offered a refund of $202.53 which we declined, and asked to get the full difference between Prudential's quote and what he charged... Next, he offered to refund $348.24 only. We are extremely unhappy with this issue and will seek just settlement.

Air conditioner wasn’t cooling; it was weekend; company I had used previously could not come for many days. A friend told me about Havens. He came same afternoon and took care of it. Prompt, professional, courteous, great work. Will continue to be my HVAC service.
