Bloomington Heating, Cooling and Electrical

I’ve been using the same HVAC people in Martinsville for 25 years ( Tom Land and son) and since moving to a condo in Bloomington had to find someone new and they recommended This company . The owners son,Caleb, serviced my air conditioner and was professional and instructional about my HVAC system .., he found some minor problems and showed me all the readings on his equipment. Even went extra mile to see if part was covered under warranty . Took his shoes off and called with his arrival time ! Top notch

This is the most professional and quality driven electrical and HVAC firm you will find in Monroe County! They installed our backup generator and did some additional AC maint work and it was perfect. On time, on budget, with an incredible level of professionalism by all. They practiced covid19 safe distancing and wore masks all the time they were here. And they wiped down everything they touched with sanitizer. Isiah and his team were just magnificent I could not ask for more nor give them enough praise for their work.
Heads and shoulders above the other bigger names in town—they actually fixed an AC problem the big guy in town couldn’t fix.
Bigger is not always better, but based on their performance for us they will soon be the “big guy” in Monroe County.
You will not go wrong by calling them for all of your electrical and HVAC needs.

We had terrible storm damage which included our electrical box being ripped off the side of our house, and they came out quickly to replace it, which means we have power back in a timely manner. Thank you! The electrician was also extremely kind to us and everyone who came to talk to him while he worked (so many neighbors with questions).

I have used several heating and air companies in the area and BHCE are by far the best. Their prices are very reasonable, they have been able to get out quickly to resolve my problems and they arrive when they say they will. With 3 properties, having a good heating/air person at the ready is important to me.

Wow, what a breath of fresh air this company is! I actually have an extensive background in HVAC during my military life, so I speak the lingo pretty well. I had a few ideas about the classic “intermittent fault” our 1992 furnace was tossing at us. However, I didn’t have my old tools and test equipment, nor a service manual and schematic.

The technician was polite & knowledgeable. He conducted a thorough safety inspection. He found a well built, older furnace in good working order, all in all. He cleaned and adjusted a few items, but he simply could not get the unit to do what it (sometimes) does at 1AM to repeat its performance 930AM… (uggh).

So far it’s back to normal, but secretly I’m hoping the component that is actually faulty makes a hard-break so the problem is obvious…

I called Kevin at 5:30am on one of the coldest days in the year because I woke up to a house with no heat. He was at my house within the hour, identified and replaced the broken part, and restored my furnace quickly. He was very polite, friendly and professional. I would not hesitate to call him again!

UPDATE: I removed my previous review of 2 weeks ago. Today, July 21st, we got a check in the mail from the owner of BHC as a reimbursement for 6lbs of refrigerant that leaked out of cooling unit same day of service. So I will say this business is reputable. I will bump them up to a 5 star because they did the right thing. I certainly commend them for that.

I know that this place is awesome, because my Uncle and Grandpa own it. A lot of my uncles and aunts have worked there, too. I live right by it. I rate it 5-star. Fantastic service, and the employees are so friendly- the best heating/cooling company (and sooo much more) in Indiana!

Just called the emergency line. 87 degrees in the house, after vacation... Kevin came out and fixed the problem in minutes.
Fantastic service, professional and friendly, and no over charging. I'll be using this company for any HVAC needs from this point on.
