Blackie's Heating & Cooling

I have used Blackies for more than 30 years. They are friendly and professional in their business. My central air went out after a nasty storm, which knocked out power for a couple of days. When the power came back on, my A/C didn’t. Blackies came out and diagnosed my problem in short order. Unfortunately my A/C was toast. So now I’m purchasing a new unit from them. I was given four different options and chose the one that worked for me.

I had an annual review of my AC unit. I also have a review of my heating system in the fall. I don’t usually go for these type of services and wait for something to break but I must say both systems run better and quieter. And when I did have an issue I received a discount for having had these services.

Greg Black always does an excellent job for us and explains everything. He makes good recommendations for the care and longevity of our AC unit,and we know he would never try to sell us additional products or services we do not need. He is polite, considerate, personable, and professional.a true asset for Blackies.

Called for a quote. An employee came out and looked at job. After that no response. Called a week later and was told that it would be looked into. A week later and no response. But today I got a text to leave a review so 🤷‍♂️. We did have a big storm so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.

When one local company wanted several thousand dollars to replace the entire central AC unit (which wasn't very old in the first place) Blackies came in & fixed the problem for just a few hundred dollars. They also discovered that it was wired wrong in the previous season when the same company that wanted to replace the air conditioner had worked on the furnace. I'm sure this other company did not intentionally mis-wire everything in the winter, but they sure would have benefited from selling us an entire new AC unit in the spring. I'm so happy we got another opinion from Blackie's Heating and Air. My daughter and I are so thankful for their skilled technicians and honest leadership.

Yesterday early evening I realized the house seemed a little warmer than it should be.
I called blackies and a few hours later we were back up and running.
The blackies service technician "Joe" that did our service call has been out here before. He's a nice guy and does great work!
