Not totally unexpected but it couldn't have come at a worse time, my 24 year old Carrier A/C unit finally said "NO MAS". With so many HVAC options to choose from, my first step was to the BBB website and found Moline, Il, based FREED Heating and A/C had an A+ rating-0 listed complaints..good start. I noticed they have been in business for over 100 years here-that's solid. QCA 2021 heat wave was soon to arrive so I called three companies for an evaluation and only Heather with FREED HVAC Co. responded right away. Tech Chris determined 90% of my freon had leaked out-a new unit was the best/and my only option. Service estimator/installer Cory called and came out as we scheduled. He was on time, VERY knowledgeable and professional..Cory was not high pressure. After evaluation and thorough discussion, (I had several questions ready) we agreed on the A/C replacement & installation price which included my senior discount and financing. As scheduled, Cory and tech Quinton were here on time, they both worked very hard for several hours and my new unit was installed and up and running that afternoon, just as the heat wave was approaching-I could not have been happier or more satisfied..10+ rating out of 10...Highly recommended..FREED Heating & A/C Co. My dad always taught me 'you get what you pay for'. No gimmicks, no trickery, no hidden costs or fees-everything was up front. Cleanup of my property was completed as well..FREED is now my GO TO COMPANY for the services I need and the services that they provide.
Very pleased with this company. Corey very nice quick to respond to all my questions. I had a much-needed furnace and central air put in my house a week ago. Worker's very prompt and kept me well informed. I am very happy I chose them for this project on my house. Everyone I dealt with was very nice would recommend !
Amazing company! We had just got home from being in the hospital for 2 weeks & found out our furnace wouldn’t turn on. They came out the same night & got it started but found out it was leaking carbon monoxide horribly bad! With the extent of my fiancé’s injuries they gave us an amazing price on a new furnace and had it installed 2 days later! We are forever grateful for your services & will continue to use you for all our furnace and air conditioning needs! Thank you again from the Jones Family!
Called them after my furnace stopped working. They were at my home within a few hours in the middle of a snowstorm. Explained to me the problem very clearly. Very impressed with the quick service and professionalism. Highly recommend.

I called Freed and talked to Cory on the phone. I had no heat in my house and he sent Brad ( one of his technicians) to my house in less than 30 minutes. Might I add, this was around 5:15pm when I called. Brad was very polite, professional, and explained to me what the problem was. He had the parts on his truck and had the heat working in my house in less than 30 minutes. Great job Freed Heating & Air, you have my business for now on.
I can only sing praise for Freed Heating and Air Conditioning. They are local professionals that I can recommend without hesitation. They replaced the furnace/air conditioner in my primary home after performing a yearly maintenance in December 2019 on an aged appliance. They worked with me on installation time and financing and replaced the furnace/air conditioner within my schedule. Just recently on my second home, the furnace started failing on Friday of the snow/ice storm hitting the QC. They came, they diagnosed the issue again on an aged furnace. Freed AGAIN, came to my rescue and they replace home two's furnace and air conditioner. They moved schedules/technicians around to get heat back in the residence. They are flexible, efficient, professionals that get the JOB DONE. Thanks FREED, you will always be that local family owned business that can rely on.
I urge everyone who can see this not to use Freed heating and air conditioning. I had a home warranty through my insurance company that would pay the total cost of my furnace replacement the only stipulation was that the furnace had to be inoperable condition, Now the good people at Freed told my wife that the part to fix the furnace was obsolete and that furnace had to be replaced, then after they had done all the work to replace my furnace they told my insurance agent that my furnace was fixable up to $600.00. Which voided my home warranty of any responsibility to pay for anything. Now I am stuck with the whole bill. What a shady business this is. I want to thank State Farm for having a home warranty that really is not one, but especially I wanted to thank Freed for your wonderful customer service. I hope you are happy, you lost a long time customer, and as far as your money goes for the job, well you could have had it right away from the insurance company but I guess you are happy with payments. I would like to ask everyone who can see this to boycott Freed, find a different company to handle your heating and air needs, they are not worth contacting because if they will do something like that to me who knows what they will do to you.
My heat went out with a toddler at home and when i called they were extremely helpful and reassuring. They came out in a very timely manner especially for us not already having an appointment and took care of it with no problems. While at our home they carried themselves very professional and clean. We were educated on things we can do to prolong the life of our equipment as well as things to avoid. All in all they will always be first on my go to list! Thank you freed!
