They had the hard to find blower motor I needed and they stay open later than others on Saturday which is a plus. Owner has great customer service and even took the blower motor out of the box and simulated an install with my type of furnace. Definitely goes above and beyond. Great experience will definitely go back if I need more parts.

Fidel owner of Rangel is a very kind person, also he is very honest when it comes down to his job, gets stuff down well takes his time to make sure the job is done correctly, explains everything throughly about the issue.

My dad was looking for a reliable service and contacted him. He called him and set an appointment with him. He checked the heaters and was not there for more than 15 minutes, and was paid $80. When he called my dad, to tell him what the problem was, he told him that his pump needed to be replaced and he was going to charge him $1200 if wanted his service. My dad was willing to pay for it, but wanted to know what kind of pump he was going to put so he could know the quality. He didn’t want to answer that question and told him something around this lines “if a nail cost a $1 and a person wants to charge you $100, it is for their knowledge.” That the price for the pump didn’t matter but his service was the important part. All my dad wanted to know was what quality of pump he was going to get for that price. Eventually he told him that they range from $200-$600. I don’t think Mr. Rangel understands that customer have the right to know what they are going to pay for their equipment and quality.
The second issue was, that at the time he went to check the furnace it was heating the house but the temperatures were not stable. However, after he checked the furnace that same day at night the heater was not heating at all. The temperature dropped inside the house. My dad checked and found the shout off valves were on the off position. He turned them on, and the heater again started to work. Why were they off? We will not know, but someone closed them. At the end, my dad decided not to get his service because of his attitude when he asked him questions.
Today, the furnace is working because the thermostats have been regulated correctly and we have not changed the pump. We checked for the price of the pump, in case one day it doesn’t work, and we will buy it for less than $120 and we will install it. As customer we have right to ask questions about what products we are receiving because if we are going to pay for $1200, we deserve to know what are we getting for our hard work money.

Mr. Rangel (owner) was very courteous and helpful in finding my replacement parts. He offered honest information when explaining how to go about replacing my new furnace components. I would totally recommend and go back if necessary to his establishment to buy any other replacement parts needed for my furnace or air conditioning unit.

Manners and services to me in my opinion are two different things but this place seem to refuse service to every question I asked. Not sure if it was just a Monday thing or that's how they roll. This place was highly recommend but first time impressions were poor (called multiple times) so far they didn't meet the expectations. I wasn't asking for free prices nor a discount.

I called at 5pm knowing that they were closing at 6pm for parts my furnace needed. The guy who answered the phone was not there when I arrived and had his significant other there looking for pieces that she eventually found. However, their policy is that you cannot return or exchange any part. How am I to know a part works if a certified engineer is not there picking the parts out? Then she wanted to charge me more than the price he quoted over the phone. To add insult to injury she grew impatient with me as I told her prices "online" were way cheaper!! She even said she closes at 6pm so I needed to hurry up and make a decision and she would not call the owner back (after calling and texting him twice about finding parts) to confirm the prices he quoted. The lady was very rude and impatient with me and unknowledgeable to even be working in a HVAC store. Definitely deserve a no star rating but I will give her credit in saying she "tried" to find what could be compatible for my furnace but we would never know because I refuse to take a risk on throwing money away for parts I cant even return or exchange. I ended up ordering my parts for the pilot light switch (even tested her and asked her what the part was called she claimed she didn’t know) offline and went to Lowe’s for the Honeywell thermos couple, and going to a HVAC store tomorrow to get the pilot light tubing definitely would give someone else my money than this unprofessional business!

**Response to Owner** I left out your doors at 6:10pm because of your staff not knowing what and where parts were located!! It was not amazon prices I was looking at it was PRICES FROM REAL HVAC stores! You need to get some rest so you and your staff can have better attitudes instead of being sarcastic with me at 1 in the morning!! Definitely even more unprofessional!! South Shore Plumbing & Heating 72nd Exchange was wayyyyy more affordable for the same items you all charge 3x more for!!! So thankful for google and them for giving customer service worth my money wayyy better than you all!!

I highly recommend this place. We went there on Thanksgiving day in desperate need of an inducer motor to fix our furnace. When we arrived, the store was closed but we called and Rangel came right back to the store just for us. As if that wasn't enough, he also installed the new motor into the piece that we brought with us. Again, I highly recommend this place and Rangel is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to heaters.

We called Rangel Heating & Cooling this morning for an estimate. Fidel made it over to our home a couple of hours later the same day and was quickly able to make the repair. I highly recommend Rangel Heating & Cooling. They carry the parts and are honest, quick, and efficient!

Appointment was made quick fixed my a/c the same day ! Made a trip all the way to Palos Park fast friendly service ! Explained in great detail what was wrong with it instead of just suggesting a whole new unit ! Great honest company !!!!!
