This morning I had Agustin at my home to do HVAC maintenance. This young man was very courteous and professional. He went above and beyond to figure out why my temperature split was off. When he realized it was dirty air filters he asked me if I had them and he changed them for me. I would highly recommend Agustin.
Saturday, May 21, 2022 I called Mcdevitt Air for a service call due to central unit not cooling. The answering service said some one will give me a call. Within 15 minutes a technician was on the way to my home. I was told I needed a new unit. McDevitt Air installed my current unit 12 years and 9 months ago. With that being said of course It was time for replacement. I spoke with Chris Tuttle on Monday, May 23 to schedule, thinking it was going to be a week or two for a new unit install. To my surprise He said "ma'am, my crew will be to you in the morning to install your new unit. We can't have our customers in this kind of heat." Thank you McDevitt Air for Great customer service and your professional team.
I had McDevitt do my summer AC maintainance and pointed out 2 concerns I had. Three different visits and said everything was good. Continued to feel there was an issue and called Prestige Air who diagnosed the problem in 30 minutes and also pointed out three other things they would correct.
The techs called me before 9am to let me know that they were on their way. They had to replace two indoor coils located in an upstairs tiny attic, plus both outside compressors. All the work was performed in a very professional and courteous manner. Any questions I had were answered by Nate, the lead tech. Both went about their work quietly and efficiently. Overall, I'm very pleased with my interactions with the McDevitt technicians and I'd highly recommend the company to any of my neighbors.
Just had a brand new HVAC system installed by Nate and Rigo. They arrived early and got right to work and got everything done more rapidly than expected. They were professional and helpful. Overall their service was excellent.
Additionally, in getting a quote and ordering the system my experience with Chris was excellent. He was professional, helpful and able to to get everything done quickly and efficiently.
Nate, Rigo, and Chris were fantastic. They showed up on time. They got the work done quickly. They were friendly and personable. They communicated well with me, and I couldn’t be happier with the service they provided. I highly recommend this company, and I would consider them again if I needed another mini split installed.
About 5 yrs ago we used McDevitt to replace and upgrade our two HVAC systems and probably spent over $10k. They were great at the time so it seemed to be a no-brainer to be a return customer for our next house. What a mistake. After explaining we had to replace the cold air return that needed to be moved for a small home remodeling project, the estimator turned out to be incredibly rude, dismissive and churlish – complaining about McDevitt’s labor shortage and how he had to fire two people, blah blah blah. He seemed unwilling to understand that we were going for an industrial look and wanted exposed ductwork while he kept saying we couldn’t do that, we didn’t want that, we had to do something else, etc, etc without telling us why any of it was an issue. He wouldn’t even look at the air handler to get a sense of the project scope. He ended up leaving after telling my handyman that the job wasn’t worth it. If McDevitt needs to fire someone, they might consider this guy. We won’t be back.
We called McDevitt to get a 2nd opinion when our downstairs Heat/AC unit needed replacing. Chris came out to evaluate our systems and confirmed that we needed a new unit downstairs, offering a price significantly below the quote from our previous provider. Nate and Rico installed the new unit and gave us further information on our upstairs unit which saved us from making an expensive repair. All 3 were extremely professional and polite. We couldn’t be happier with McDevitt!
