Contacted Edd Helms for a simple relocation of my exterior condenser coil & fan unit. The service employee demanded that I have a service visit ( $ 180.00 ) before any real work can be scheduled. I have 25 years in construction and know that this is a "money grab" and I highly suggest anyone to look elsewhere for they air conditioning needs.

I needed a new thermostat and when I removed the previous one myself, my old wires were a mess and so was the wire box in the wall. The drywall surrounding the box was breaking out also. Edd Helms sent technician Tim just 24 hours after I called them. He spliced new, much better wires onto the end of the old ones, to make it cleaner and easier to install the new thermostat. Best of all, Tim was able to install a large backing plate behind the new thermostat mounting plate, to properly and completely cover the wall box hole, and make the entire installation much more secure. He also checked my heat pump that Edd Helms had installed way back in 2010, and said all is well with it. Tim was very professional and pleasant. Edd Helms is a great company. Thank you.

Our flexible AC ducts were "attacked" by rodents. Edd Helms, who did the original installation, made the repairs. They replaced two (2) flexible ducts from the air handler to the heads (vents). The flexible ducts are located in attic crawl space, a difficult area to work in. The crew who did the repairs were the same crew that did the original installation (this was the suggesting of the service coordinator, as they knew the system best). The service crew did an excellent job. As our first experience with this crew, they are knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. If one needs AC work, either new installation, replacement of existing AC system, or repairs, call Edd Helms, you will be pleased.

Edd Helms has been servicing our split duct AC unit for our home and wine cellar for 17 years. In fact, they also were the initial install of the wine cellar that we built.

They remain the best company we have used. Their reps are professional and knowledgeable always. I feel like they are looking out for us as a partner. Excellent service and quality company.

I had previously posted a 5 star review. I put it up immediately, but within 2 days an issue arose that caused me to edit the review. I scheduled an annual maintainence for my AC. A Helms tech came and conducted what seemed to be a 5 star maintenance. He reported one potential future problem, compressor blades showing corrosion from salt air, and showed me how to maintain it. But there will eventually be a problem with them.

Two days later my house began to not cool down. I called the company to register the issue. They said that if I cleaned the blades, that might help. They suggested a service call to recheck the blades. They would probably need replacement for $655. A service call charge would be rolled into the cost.

This bothered me as the AC had been working fine before my first call. I called a different AC company. They found ice on the evaporator coil and low Freon, but no leaks. They added 3 pounds of freon. All this is within 3 days of my original call.

I called Edd Helms back and told them about the incident. I asked to be made whole on the maintenance call. CS said she would refer to department manager. It is now 3 weeks later and no one has contacted me. This is so disappointing because I believe Helms has a good reputation. On this issue almost everything has been poorly handled. This review will probably be taken down. ,

I've never left an online review for any business in the past, but I couldn't help but post about the excellent service from Edd Helms. AC went out Memorial Day weekend, and Dion was on site within about 2 hours after we called in. He isolated the problem efficiently, and got it resolved within one hour, explaining everything clearly along the way. Price was very fair, especially considering it was a holiday weekend. A real lifesaver, and grandma couldn't be happier! Dion is our hero.

The Team at Edd Helms is always ready to respond to your needs. Need service, you schedule an appointment and they arrive on the early side of the window. Have a problem and you call, they resolve very fast. Their dispatch team will call if there is a cancellation and fit you in immediately. They provide high quality products to avoid repair calls and their value club membership is the best deal in town to service your unit twice a year without breaking the bank. I recommend if you need a new unit, pay a couple dollars more and order from them.
