Since new ownership, service has DECLINED severely. Do not have set office hours which is inconvenient when they have customers come to them to pick up "special" filters needed for unit. Asked if they could just ship or just drop off ONLY IF they are at a job close by. Responded with they are not a filter delivery company which I am well aware of, didn't think dropping off would be such a demand if they were close by and only if. Anyways, previous owners WERE AMAZING!! New ones not so much. With the hundreds of AC companies to choose from in the Melbourne, FL area, guess they don't need referrals or more business.

I cannot say enough good things about this service. The technicians were fantastic. They replaced my AC system and also gave me some maintenance tips. They were friendly, respectful (of pets as well! ) , knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend them and will not hesitate to call on them again.

Gale Winds Air & Heat is a quality Company with a knowledgeable, highly skilled, reliable and trustworthy team that consistently provides superior service.

As a long term customer, I know I can count on them to 'show up' at the right time and in the right way.

For example, recently, after an exceptionally hot summer day, my ac shut down. The temp indoors soon became unbearable. Hoping it was due to a capacitor or other simple fix, a friend suggested contacting a 24/7 emergency repair service in the area to come by to assess the issue. I did, but it proved to be a costly mistake. A technician came out that night, performed a quick assessment and claimed the entire ac unit would need to be replaced. He consulted with his Manager over the phone about options, and presented a quote for a new, top of the line ac unit, without properly diagnosing the issue or checking the warranty on the existing ac unit. I paid him for the after hours service call and weekly rental of a portable ac unit, and told him I would consult Gale Winds, the Company I know and trust, who installed and serviced my hvac system in the past, to make an informed decision based on their assessment.

I reached out to Bill, the owner of Gale Winds, the following morning, and he arranged for Bryan, one of his highly skilled technicians, to come to my home that day. They were extremely busy servicing other customers at the time, and went out of their way to get here as soon as possible. Bryan performed a thorough inspection and confirmed I did not actually need a new ac unit, only a part for the compressor, which he and Bill checked and confirmed was covered under warranty. They ordered and expedited delivery of the part, and installed it without delay.

Both visits were covered under my service contract agreement. I was only charged a nominal fee for labor, in the exact amount of their initial estimate.

They come out twice a year to inspect and maintain my ac unit, and keep it operating efficiently.

In my experience, Gale Winds consistently provides superior service, maintains high standards, and operates with professionalism and integrity.

And in the process, they retain lifelong customers like me, who are happy to refer them to others in our community.

Yesterday I noticed my filter dryer rusted thru and had some freon escaping along with the fan on the outside unit was not spinning. I reached out late to Gale Winds Air & Heat and they're were very responsive and professional. They were able to squeeze me in today to have a tech come out and repair my A/C. Bryan showed up exactly when the person I spoke to yesterday said he'd come (I even received a text saying their tech was on his way and within 10 mins he showed up). He was able to diagnose the issue within a few minutes and provide me a quote of the job prior to starting. He was very friendly, professional, honest, and did amazing work. He had our A/C running with a few minutes. He ended up relocating the new filter dryer into the garage next to the furnace to prevent the rust issue from happening again and replaced the run capacitor. I'd highly recommend them and would definitely use them again! Thank you again!

Lightning knocked out my condenser unit. Called around and got several quotes. Gale Winds offered the best bang for my buck along with a 10-year warranty. They were very professional and got the job done on short notice. I've also seen some savings in my electric bill since.

I had gale winds come out and move my air handler from one location in my house to another in preparation for a kitchen remodel. Everything went great and the new system was moved to its new location. This required access to my attic which I do not use other then to store boxes of Christmas items in. These items are placed into the attic while standing on a ladder. No one ever goes up into the attic as there is no space to do so. It’s above my garage. About a week after the job was done i noticed a large crack in the Sheetrock on the ceiling In my garage and it wasn’t there before the work was done. I took a video of it and sent it to Gale Winds. Ted came out and looked at it and at first it seemed as if he was trying to recall whether or not he stepped in that area. Ultimately he stated that it wasn’t him that did it and that they would not correct it. I asked if anybody else was up there and he said yes but they didn’t stand in that area. This wasn’t a coincidence that the large crack appeared after they did the work on my air handler. Perhaps it was equipment that caused it but it definitely was them that did it. He continued to deny it was them and stated they wouldn’t be correcting it. Needless to say, I’m not happy. Now I have to Fix a ceiling that wasn't broken before they showed up and they were definitely working In that area. It certainly didn’t happen on its own. If Ted had said it was a possibility that they did it and they were willing to correct it I would’ve been satisfied but that’s not what happened. That’s what their insurance is for.... to cover damage they've caused. It’s an easy and inexpensive fix that I now have to hire someone to come in and do knowing it was Gale Winds that caused it. Take from this what you will but I would not recommend them. Theres nothing worse then a business that won’t take accountability for the damage they’ve caused.
