Gary came out this morning to work on my air conditioner and was very quickly able to diagnose the issue and resolve it. He very patiently explained everything he was doing and gave me some tips to avoid issues in the future. Before leaving, he also made sure to wipe everything down (from the water that spilled out). Because of him, I will definitely use Air Excel in the future.
I've known Patrick @ Air Excel for 12 years. He has always been very honest and open about our AC system - what we needed to do to keep our system operating at peak performance to when service should be done. He takes the customers concerns into account in his decisions and I've learned if he suggests that a service or procedure needs to be done get it done. He will not oversell you into something that is not needed. His passion is to ensure you, the customer, are completely satisfied with the work and product that he's installing or maintaining. He is not a salesman, he is a Service Professional that puts service and his word first and foremost. Getting hard to find folks like this these days.
Our system was aged however in good shape as a 2004 new installation. Repairs and maintenance were done annually however at this point in it's life it was time to replace it with new tech and lower energy usage. We've been in a Florida summer when a compressor failed and it's not fun when the interior of the house is hotter than a hot August afternoon.
We noticed an uptick in our power bill and the unit was running longer to cool last summer - struggling in the Florida heat. It was a SEER 12 when installed however if you research you will find as the systems age that they lose efficiency from when they were installed -- We could feel the loss in our check book as the power meter spun....
We discussed our concerns with Patrick - humidity in the house and also temperature flux between the front of the house facing East getting morning sun to the back of the house facing West getting the afternoon/evening sun. A single stage compressor is what most of us are used to, ON it's cooing, OFF it's not nothing in between until is cuts back on and that is what we had. Basic system nothing fancy. What Patrick put together for us was a little more than we planned on spending however it's like night and day and we are very glad we took his advice.
We went with a 2 stage Bryant system with a variable speed furnace blower fan. For temp control we chose an Ecobee 4 thermostat w/ remote sensor for the master. The system runs longer that what you would see from a single stage units however uses less electricity as it's mostly in stage 1 (60%) not stage 2 (100%). We've lived in the house since it was new and -WOW- talk about a balance of temp now from front to back without any air duct dampers!
This new system is so much quieter than our old system inside and out. The longer run time is pulling more moisture out of our system, which was concern #1. The Ecobee 4 is keeping an even balance between the front and back of the house which was concern #2. We also decided after the recent install to have a UV Air purifier installed for allergy issues - don't go cheap - get the good one.
If you are looking for an AC professional that will always have your best interests in mind then Patrick is the man. I'll post photos when I have some time to take them.
Omar was incredibly thorough and fixed the AC issue after two visits from another technician were unsuccessful. He was knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure our unit would run properly moving forward.
Thank you for your services. We needed our hvac unit removed and reinstalled for drywall work behind unit. Carnel was very polite, professional, informative, and thorough. Though this company was hired by my landlord I will use them when I buy a home of my own in the future.
If I could give 0 stars I would. On April 2020, My A/C was not cutting on. My Co-Worker was raving about this company, so I had this company service my AC unit. The technician came out and took a look at the outside unit. He came to the conclusion that the accumulator was bad. He changed the accumulator and then the capacitor after I mentioned it to him. I asked if he was going to check anything else just in case (vents, attic, etc.) he said "he has being doing this for 20 years and that he is a professional." I was subsequently charged $650 for the work and $65 for the service call. Today it is June 29,2020 and as of June 26,2020 my AC is back out again after only 2 months. After a giving them a call at 11AM no technicians are available. I will take my business else where.
We have used Air Excel for the last 4 years. They are quick to respond to calls and set up a time come out to fix our AC units Their prices are fair. I would absolutely recommend them. We are pleased every time we call
They were able to come out within a couple of hours when my A/C unit was failing. The issue was fixed within 30 minutes and I was severely overcharged for the replacement part (at least double). When confronted, the owner was willing to lower the cost of the part, but it was still an overcharge at that price point as well.
Whenever I've needed AC service Air Excel has always been the first number I call. Very professional and attentive to their customers.. I've used them replace my thermostat to one that is wifi enabled now i can access my thermostat remotely..
