I have to give this business a low rating. My up-stairs heater stopped working. I repairman arrived at my house on time and was friendly. I showed him our heater in the basement. It took him close to 40 minutes to identify the wrong problem. He said the main circuit board was defective. He then went out to his car and called his company who then "checked with 4 other companies" on the circuit board and they all said it had been discontinued.
He then came back in the house and said our only option was for us to either research and see if we could find that board or to buy a brand new heater. He then proceeded to try and sell us one of their heaters for $6,800. After he left, a Manager from Gold then texted me and said they could sell me one for $5,800. Sounded pretty cheesy to my wife and me.
We then called a "Carrier-certified" company called Plumbline. They came out and identified the problem in less than 5 minutes. A cracked Surface Ignitor. He went out to his truck and grabbed one and then replaced it in 5 minutes. The house was warm when he left. Can't recommend Plumbline enough.
I had my furnace replaced by Gold Standard Heating And Cooling the same day I called them.Everyone was very friendly and professional. The quality of their work was excellent and I was very impressed. They also cleaned up after they were done. I would definitely recommend them.
I had a problem recently with my furnace. I called Gold Standard heating and Cooling and Mike came out a diagnosed the problem quickly and told us the parts that needed to be replaced. He took the time to completely explain everything he was looking at and what it would cost. He was back at my house the next day and had to work late to get the job done. He did a great job and provided excellent customer service I recommend this company very highly.
I cannot stress enough how honest, fair, professional, and knowledgeable Tom is. He made us very comfortable in choosing to work with this company. The install was done meticulously, on time, and with excellent clean up afterwards. I would not hesitate to contact Gold Standard Heating And Cooling when we require any future service.
This business attracts by a low INITIAL price, but if you call them I would recommend to check the installed parts, ask for the parts receipt, and check very carefully how the fixed stuff is working before you pay. They work with contractors and do nothing if they do a bad job. In my case I had a problem with my A/C, technician quickly detected that the problem is with Run Capacitor (as I checked later the cost is < $10), but he said he need to change the blow motor as like (as I checked later, the cost is < $150 for my model). He asked for extra $695. The A/C starts working but with very loud noise, probably the blow wheel was not tighten well or the motor is bad (not really brand new?). And I keep calling them to fix for more than a month, but they only answer is - we will talk to the technician manager and fix asap, and nothing else is happen.
Everyone we dealt with was exceptionally professional and proficient! We appreciate their expertise in every area of the project from sales to installation to the cleanliness at the completion of the project. We would definitely recommend Gold Standard Heating And Cooling to family and friends.
Javis Steward: We paid $500 on 5/31/2020 to get a diagnostic on our central air and get a leak sealed. We were told we may need a new unit at that time. On 6/8/2020, our central air was no longer working and we got a whole new system installed for $5000. They cracked our kitchen tile during the install and knocked off $300. On June 18th, right before Father's Day weekend and my wife's birthday, our brand new unit was no longer working and the pipes were freezing and we were getting no air. I called Eric, the supervisor who oversaw the installation and he said that Chris was the one who installed it and "needed to fix his own mess". Our house was over 80 degrees. Chris came over on the 19th and said that there was an issue with the copper pipe he installed. It was closed so air could not get through and he said he did not have the appropriate piece to fix it. We were without air conditioning until Monday the 22nd when Chris replaced the piece and supposedly fixed the issue. We were told we would receive a credit of $200 for our troubles which never happened. We were also promised a call back from a supervisor, which never happened. On July 2nd, the pipe froze again, we were getting zero air and our house was back above 80 degrees before the 4th of July weekend. I called repeatedly and Chris told me that he would get out to our house. We never heard from him again. I have called Chris on his cell phone and had called the main phone number for Gold Standard every day, multiple times a day for over a week straight and was told that a supervisor would call me back and that their error would be corrected. We ended up calling someone else to fix the problem. In the meantime, I continued to call for a resolution. We still have not been contacted by a supervisor. When I called again yesterday, they claimed there were no notes on the account, they mysteriously disappeared. After I became upset, the agent found them miraculously and again promised we would get a call back from a supervisor. This is a brand new unit and spent a ton of money and are completely dissatisfied with the quality of the unit, the install and the customer service. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. I wouldn't refer this company to my enemy.
Very prompt service, very professional execution, and very good in communication. I'd happily call on them. The work was outstanding and the services was top notch.
