DO NOT HIRE UNLESS TIME IS THE ONLY CONCERN AND PRICE DOESN'T MATTER!

Note - This review is directed at the price ONLY, not the service technician. The technician was very professional and competent.

I recently had my GE Artica Profile ice maker replaced due to it overflowing. I contacted several companies on Yelp to have it repaired. Fix-It Rite was the first company to respond. They charged $75 to come diagnose the problem. The ice maker was replaced along with the water valve and the coils blown out (both at the recommendation of the service technician). The coil cleaning was an additional $50. The final price was $492.86 for the 1) ice maker, 2) water valve, 3) and coil cleaning. I requested an itemized receipt but was told everything was billed on a flat rate. The entire service took about 1.5 hours.

I received additional quotes from multiple other companies, 2 of which stand out and I wish I had gotten them sooner. Both quotes itemized the costs.
    1) Appliance 2Day
    *Final price = $221.97
    *First Appointment Available 1/25/18
    2) Placer Appliance Repair & Installations
    *Final Price = $269.12
    *First Appointment Available 01/26/17

In the end I am sure that the repair will be fine I am just really bummed that it cost about double the price. I will not recommend Fix-It Rite to my family or friends.

I would recommend both Appliance 2Day and Placer Appliance Repair & Installations.

Our A/C stopped working during the long stretch of 100 degree days. I called another local shop and they kept saying they would squeeze us in but after 3 days I gave up waiting. I called Steve at Fix It Rite at 10:30am and he was at my house in East Sac by 11:10! He was able to assess our issue, explain the necessary steps to fix it and perform the work within an hour. I'm so pleased with his professionalism, knowledge and quick response time! I'm happy to now have a go-to company for any future repairs!

While driving on an errend, I found myself behind a "fix-it-Rite!" vehicle that advertised what appeared to be "able to fix anything." They were at my house within 30 minutes (amazingly!). My dryer was laboring to dry anything, understandably, since I had not cleaned out the vent system in more than a year. What a mess ! Andrew worked for more than hour to clear the problem, and my dryer was resurrected. I was so happy with Andrew's diligence, I tipped him and called his boss Alex to let him know what a great employee he had. Turns out both Andrew and Alex were graduates from a reputable Carmichael boys' high school where I taught for decades. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Fix-It Rite, and will seek their expertise for ALL my heating, air conditioning, appliance, installation, and electrical work.

$194 to fix the lid switch on a washer. It took him 5 mins. The kid was nice but thats a gross amount of $ for a 5min repair. Especially considering the $75 service call was supposedly put towards the repair since we opted for a fix.
