Comfort Air Conditioning & Heating

We were having issues with our HVAC system and couldn't figure out what was going on. Comfort Air sent someone out who figured out that the person that put in my HVAC didn't wire it correctly and that the fan motor was fried. I received the quote very quickly and they ordered the part as quickly as they could. Once the part was in Mike came out and repaired the HVAC system with no issues and even fixed the wiring for me. He was professional and always honest and reliable. I will definitely be using them again if I need to but hopefully not to soon.

Mike is THE BEST. Our AC broke on a very hot East County day and we were in a pinch to find someone to fix it quickly! Mike personally came to the house to check it out within two hours of contacting their office and immediately diagnosed the issue and got the ball rolling to get it replaced and fixed that day. You can’t ask for better service!

My old AC system was about 25 years old. It ran non stop and barely was able to keep my home cool during hot days. So, I knew I need to replace it before the summer.

One of my friends recommended Comfort Air. His AC unit was replaced by the Comfort Air guys and he was satisfied with the services they provided. So, I called and talked to Mike. We set up an appointment to check out my system. He was right on time. Mike quoted a price that I felt is a good deal. Gene came next morning and finished the job by 3pm. Wow! No hassle for me. How cool is that?

What a difference. First company came out, charged $100 service call and quoted $1500 for leak check and $1800 for repair/recharge which I declined. Mike from Comfort Air came and checked system, said refrigerant was low a few pounds and recharged it for $395. MIke said "If there's a leak it's slow but will will get worse over tiime". Meanwhile we're cool during the heatwave and we'll see how bad the leak is. So far a few pounds over 9 years ain't so bad ;)

After extensive research and taking bids from a number of highly recommended companies, we decided to go with Comfort AC and Heating because they were the most thorough, the most responsive, and the bid was exactly what we expected and had budgeted for. We didn't go with the cheapest bid, because it left out many things - we knew that we would end up paying more in the end OR being unhappy because it wasn't as thorough as it should have been. After installation, we are certain we made a great decision! Comfort AC came early and stayed late to finish the job in one day, which was absolutely astonishing and testament to the level of skill these guys have from years of experience. We got an entirely new AC system installed as well as a mini-split. Warranties and guarantees are the best in the business, and the workmanship quality was top notch. We have nothing but praise for the job that was done. Best of all, every single thing that they promised, they delivered - faster and better than expected. We are ready for the summer heat! Highly recommend!

We couldn’t be any happier with Mike and Comfort Air Conditioning and Heating. We put in a Yelp request on Friday night. Ida was super responsive and put us on the schedule for the very next day. Mike gave us a phone call 30 minutes before our arrival, and found and fixed the problem within an hour. A snail had clogged the drain for the condenser ! Super reasonable rates and friendly professional. We will definitely be using Comfort again!

Mike is very professional, patient and nice. When my furnace was out of function. He answered all the questions I have in the beginning. In addition, he explained a lot about the possible reasons causing my furnace down. Ida is also very efficient for scheduling the time and contacting with related issues I have. They even tried to help me about the warranty issues even though the furnace was not installed or purchased from them. I will rate 6 stars if google provided. One Saturday on our morning walk we decided to explore the possibility of getting central A/C installed. We only had heat until now but living in coastal Carlsbad the summers were bearable. This summer is going to be a hot one…

I’m blown away that after a pleasant conversation with their tech, a specialist came out the next day and made some measurements as well as advised on best condenser locations.

That same Monday… their crew showed up on time and we got the A/C installed by the afternoon🤯!

Awesome experience from start to finish. Ida quickly got us scheduled and was able to squeeze us in for same day service and Mike was an absolute pro. He was efficient and systematic with his diagnosis and had our heat back up and running in minutes. He offered expert advice on how to keep our system working its best.
