    Our family has been using Blair Heating & Air since 2017 when our A/C unit stopped working. We were very satisfied with the service (we never had issues with that unit again), so from that point on, we have used their Preventive Plan for maintenance on our unit (now 2 since we have moved).
    We feel they price their services very fairly and their technicians are always top notch.
    Today we had Ernesto come to our home to perform maintenance on our 2 units. Very professional young man. He gave us a call 20 minutes before his arrival time and once he arrived, he explained everything he was going to be doing while patiently answering all of our questions without making us feel rushed. He communicated with us during the whole process, which is something we also appreciate.
    This is why we have been with this company for 6 years now; they believe in customer care (always have customers in mind), their technicians are excellent at what they do and you just can’t beat their prices.

    We used Blair Heating & Air to replace a worn out HVAC unit on our roof. They have been nothing but professional and responsive ever since, even contacting us to schedule our six-month maintenance check (I am usually the one calling the AC people!). Highly recommend.

    5 stars! I had TWO non-functioning AC units with different issues. Within an hour or two, both were working. I can't say enough good things about Blair, professional, responsive, on time and they didn't over-charge me. Recommended!

    Blair responded quickly and our technician, Ernesto, was professional, courteous, and efficient. He diagnosed the problem quickly. We had the AC unit replaced 6 months ago by another company, and their technician had left the gas valve to our furnace in the off position, so no heat. It was an easy fix and we signed up for PMA which bought us a full service of the equipment and waived the $95 visit fee. We’ll have a second Preventative Maintenance in November, so both yesterday’s visit and one this fall for $189, which is very fair and reasonable. Overall, I highly recommend Blair.

    Why do A/C problems always happen late at night or on the weekends? I would never depend on an A/C repair company that turns the phones off at 5 PM, turns them back on at 8 AM, and is closed on weekends. That's who my first A/C guy in the desert sold his business to when he moved to Texas. The new company had mediocre reviews, and I never talked to them because my first problem started at 8 PM Friday. The old A/C guy's recommended replacement was closed until Monday morning! I called a friend who knows a lot of people in Palm Springs. He referred me to Blair and said they were great. He was right!

    I own a rental condo in Palm Springs, and the tenant called right after lunch. I knew it was going to be a problem. I braced myself, and he told me that the A/C was working when he went to lunch, and the fan wasn't moving when he returned. He tried the breakers and called me. I called Blair. The after-hours operator had Aaron call me. He was pleasant, calm, and professional. It was around 2 PM, and it was hot. He wasn't relaxing and taking a long lunch! He was working. He told me he would check out the problem and call me back. He called, and the motor was fried. He had then replacement motor on his truck. It seemed like a few minutes later when he called and said it was working perfectly. He gave me the test numbers for the whole system and said it looked good.

    It is hard to imagine that an A/C failure that is expensive and a significant drag can end up being a pleasant experience. Things went smoothly. I sometimes cut corners and source some parts of a job myself. I save money and get points on my credit card. I did this when we gutted and remodeled our house. A few months ago, I replaced a toilet in my house with an exact duplicate and got the plumber to do the installation. I was afraid that I didn't get the right parts. Amazon's section on Toto toilets had all the flow numbers jumbled for what is legal in our area. Everything worked out. The number one lesson of business school is that you cannot escape risk and return. Buying a toilet when I could look at what we needed was low risk and a reasonable return.

    I would never try to save a buck with a tenant waiting, and it would have been high risk and low return! I went to a professional and was lucky to get a great repair person with a sense of humor. All the Blair repair people have been good, and Aaron's work today was great!

    UPDATE
    We live in Palm Springs, and one of my concerns is that our A/C will fail and we will be stuck. Blair offers a program where we pay a fee, and get discounts on parts and visits in the Spring and Fall to clean or replace filters, and do through inspection. I sleep better knowing that Aaron has been out to make sure our AC is working.

    The job was scheduled, the work was done. It was easy, and anything but stressful. I even like the way Aaron prepared the bill on his tablet. Lots of trade people are doing it. I am impressed.

    The repairman was on time, replaced the filter and checked out our AC, and informed us that all was well. He reassured us that he was confident that our AC was running smoothly. He was polite and respectful.
