Someone recommended Sterling Heating and Air on Nextdoor. When I called, he picked up right away, listened to my problem, and came out the same day. Our AC had been on the fritz for months and we had called out 2 other local companies (one large HVAC company and an independent contractor) who couldn't locate the problem. We were thinking of buying a new unit but I'm so glad we didn't. Dale found the problem almost immediately! It was a $250 fix instead of $1300 in a new HVAC system. We now have reliable cool air throughout the house for the summer. I couldn't be happier! Dale was a pleasure to talk to and very knowledgable about the HVAC system. I'm always going to call him in the future.

Our heater wasn't providing heated air. The HVAC person first told us "you might need a new blower." It turned out the blower was fine; we needed a new gas valve. The HVAC person installed a new gas valve all right - BUT LEFT IT SWITCHED IN THE OFF POSITION so the heater STILL wasn't providing heated air! What HVAC person leaves a customer location WITHOUT CHECKING WHETHER OR NOT THE HVAC SYSTEM IS WORKING PROPERLY??? Oh, and this was the SECOND time this same company came out to "repair" our heating system. Obviously, the HVAC person they sent out the first time left the customer location WITHOUT CHECKING WHETHER OR NOT THE HVAC SYSTEM IS WORKING PROPERLY also. Seems to be a trend here. If I could, I would leave ZERO stars for this company. They are permanently on my "do NOT call these guys" home maintenance list.

Sterling Heating & Air went above and beyond when helping us with our air. We were having trouble with our air randomly turning off and not blowing, resulting in us not having air throughout most of the night/day.

We called Sterling and Dale (the owner) said he’d come out the same day to take a look.

He came out and a part ended up needing to be replaced. Sadly the part ended up not fixing the entire problem so we called again.

Dale came out the same day again to take a look and determined the problem was either with the circuit board or our nest thermostat, and gave us a loaner thermostat to see if that fixed the problem.

It ended up fixing the problem completely and so we bought a new Nest and Dale came right out to install it for us, no extra charge.

We were extremely grateful that he came out so quickly and was so willing to help and identify the cause of the issue. He never once tried to sell us anything we didn’t need.

I didn’t think we’d have a goto HVAC guy but we definitely do now!
